Let me know if there are any elements in particular you like/hate (hopefully more of the first :D )

I decided to try to create a branding symbol. (aka. the triple arrows)

Again, many thanks for the first set of entries. Here is my feedback:

Chelle
(first logo)
Not keen on the fonts used
Like the idea of the “2” being in a different colour
The logo seems very wide? Maybe due to the font

(Second Logo)
Dislike the spherical object above “TIME2TEST”

Ondarox
(first set of logos)
Like the first logo. Would like to see variations of colours/fonts. Also, if possible for it to encompass a “time” aspect graphic… If possible, would like it to be “simpler”?

(second posting)
Like the association with Clock/time…
Not so keen on the smiley moon clock face

( third posting)
What is the symbol beside “Time2Test”?
Logo looks squashed up
Not to keen on the colours.
Like the idea of the graphic being beside the Time2test word.

John
Not keen on the three arrows
Like the colours
Would like to see the “2” in a different colour

j-design
Like the simplicity and style
Bit too squashed
The “2” is not easily distinguishable
Like the use of orange colour. Would like to see it with a blue…
Would like to see it with other suitable graphics

Huhhso
Not keen on 1-3 logos. Dislike the proportionality, straight lines, pointed objects.
Logo 4 - Like the usage of “clock” which ties in with Time…

Ubergerlgeek
Would like to see different variations in the graphic around the T.
Nice and simple logo.

Overall comments:
Like the graphic in general to be more abstract and the designs to have a contemporary feel. Like the idea of the graphic to have some association with time. Like the idea of having the “2” in a different colour.

So far my initial comments are such that I am still open to new ideas and suggestions. I intend to narrow down my Likes based on the next set of logos to come in.

Hope the feedback heklps and look forward to seeing your replies. Any questions then please shout out...

By the way, I would appreciate it if you would uniquely identify your logos for easy identification. Eg. [YourName_LogoNumber] = Chelle_001 - just makes reviewing a little easier. :D

I added some clock hands to make the gear represent technology/work while also representing a clock. If you would like to see different color/gear variations let me know :)

How about this -

The colors are simple and fresh. The shapes represent a clock and two hands.

The text is simple and the whole logo is easy to replicate in any form eg. Print.

Here are my latest review comments on the latest set of logos: :D

jdesign
I like the font and style used but not sure about the numbers... It could also benefit from the words "testing solutions". The logo looks unproportional. The clock element is nice and the colours are good. Would the colours translate on other types of media?

ondarox
All three logos look very effective but I am concenrned about the colours...
logo 1 - not to keen on this one.
logo 2 - I like the font and the increased "2" size. Also like the lower case "testing solutions" font and size. The swirl is an interesting logo choice. What does it represent? Would like to see the swirl in different positions. Not to keen on the colours (black) as it remindes me of the Xbox console
logo 3 - Like the idea of the sundial but not keen on the proportionality.

xteriormotive
Not keen on th font and colour style. Would like to see a "time" graphic

chelle
Not keen on the fonts used. The "2" does not stand out. Not to keen on the "sun"? graphic

Elkootcho
01 - Like the "time" element and increased "2" size. Not sure if I want to see "ltd" in the logo as it looks cluttered. "Software Testing solutions" title is small. Would like to see a more abstract style clock and more solid font for "time2test"

ubergerlgeek
Like the logo. Generally pleasing to the eye. Would like you to take on board some of my other comments for the other guys... Also, would like to see possible variations in the clock ( make it a little more abstract?)

Dan
Not to keen on the fonts used. Would like to see the "2" in a different colour.

Huhhso
1 - not very keen on this
2 - not very keen on this
3 - Like the clock above "time2test". Not sure about the colours. Dislike the "ONE.TWO". Not happy with the general proportion or colours used on "2" and "testing solutions". Nice design.

I personally like the logo with the gear as the clock the best, but here are a couple more examples :)

A few changes. Dropped the logo into the background as it doesnt need the prominance. The text is strong enough.

It's soon coming to the end of the contest and hope that things can be wrapped up very soon despite noticing that things are quiter than last week...

The following are the ones I like best ( in alphabetical order)

j-design - latest design
ondarox - logo with the swirl
ubergerlgeek - gear as the clock

Would like to see the following changes:

j-design - graphic to be a little more simple. Drop the roman numerals and make smaller "testing soloutions" and in lower case, Possibly spherical graphics to be in graded orange. "Time" and "Test" in black and "2" in orange.

ondarox - color changes as per previous comments.

ubergerlgeek - Clock to be in orange and black hands? Text to be in black (Time,Test) and orange (2) Also, can you use a simpler font?

Overall, can you please tell me if the colours would on the logo would work on all types of media such as printed and web?

Here are 3 more examples. I rotated the gear slightly in each one, so you can decide which angle you prefer. Also I included an orange and blue one because I felt those colors complimented each other well. Comments and suggestions are welcomed :)

Ondarox - I like the latest design vortex posted 04/23. It's looks smart, simple and effective. The vortex graphic possess the abstract style "time" connotation. Happy with the orange but would like to see a couple of variations of the blue colour used. Would the graphic be in vector format?

Elkootcho - the designs are great but I dont think are suitable for my consultancy... suit a film poster :)

j-design - Not sure that I like the faint graphic. prefer it to be bold. Shouts out web development company...

ubergerlgeek - Like version 7 font but dont think that the graphic complements it well...

I will be announcing the winner tomorrow... My favourite so far is Ondarox...

Its crunch time... the winner is:

ondarox

It was a difficult decision between ubergerlgeek, j-design and ondarox but ondarox's simple, clean and effective logo satisfied my requirements for a consultancy type logo. I think the swirl/vortex graphic was an excellent choice for the "time" style requirement.

Just want to say many thanks to all the people who made some excellent and entertaining submissions. I will shortly be running a couple of more contests:
i. Template contest for time2test to host my new :cool2: logo so be prepared!!!
ii. Logo/header contest for testingtools.co.uk which is going to be a content rich site (probably in phpnuke)full of software testing articles and tools ( word docs and code snippets) for software testing professionals...

Keep up the good work people
