I noticed the forum time is a little off, at least it is for me. I have been living in GMT +1 my entire life and have not recently moved. These two facts led me to the conclusion that my current timezone is still GMT +1. All who agree say aye? You see, everyone else agrees as well.

Now, for the second conclusion: I just switched my timezone in the options panel to the correct time, and triplechecked the fact that I had selected GMT +1 (Btw, don't forget to mention Amsterdam in that timezone, I actually felt offended there). The second fact preceding this conclusion is that I noticed my time was shows as being 9.55 pm (after checking the DST option it became 10.55 pm).

Now, this leads me to one of the following grand master conclusions.

1. I can't read clocks
2. I am going insane
3. I am doing something terribly wrong here.
4. The forum time is not correct

Options 1 and 2 seem the most viable ones, but I wanted to check just in case? Btw, the correct time should be 8.55 pm.

And something totally different. I think it migh be useful to put some links back to the main site on these forums. I had a quick sweep over the main page, but I couldn't find a link directing back to the main website. I could have missed it, but I think it should not be hard to find once it is present.

the clock thing is happening to me as well....maybe we're just both crazy...who knows...

and as far as the link back to the main site:
it's in the upper right hand corner and it says "home" next to "help | search | members | calender"

it took me a while to find it as well.....anywho....

Ok let me do some configuring. Obviously I didn't set the time correctly for the forum. I'll post this and see wht time it says in relation to my time.

Regarding getting back to the home page, like DF said, click the HOME link. You can also clich the little DO image next to the breadcrumb trail lin that says "DesignOutpost.com forums". That will bring you to the home page. I originally had it say HOME there as well but it caused an ugly wrapping problem with the other links. I can't stand ugly wrappingness. :)

Ok, now if I did it right, this post should be the correct time

I don't know is it better now? It doesn't seem to be changing. You can also adjust whether you're on daylight savings time in your control panel (http://www.designoutpost.com/forums/index.php?s=&act=UserCP&CODE=00). Click on "board settings". We might have to have our "Senior Moderator" look in to this, it's obviously to technical for me :P

Thanks for your patience Mark,
Palmer

Cool, I'm glad it's fixed now. In the future if you need to know what time it is your computer has a little clock on the bottom right of the monitor. :P
