Somethings not right here. No offense meant but $50?!?! Have you been hired by them to provide a logo, is this a company you work for or is this your own company?

The company is run by my father. We are looking at potentially re-designing the company logo, website etc etc - but thought that we'd get things going with a small logo competition.

Ok, fair enough. Just wondered that's all. I used to work for my father. I know how that is :D

Thanks for your contest,
Palmer

Palmer - OK, no probs. I understand that you have to be careful with other people potentially trying to use what look like excellent skills on this site.

I am very keen to trial with the logo & then as mentioned also run a website content at a later date.

I can see the first entry is in already.....

Victoria - thanks for your entry.

Initial comments are:

- Can you make the writing more formal (i.e more square - hope this is clear)?
- Can you use a slightly lighter shade of red?
- Can you remove the lines from underneath Trading, Sales, Delivery wording?
- Can you make the full stops between the wording into small diamonds & move them up slightly?
- Can you remove the curl on the lines?
- Can you make the line under Haywoods slightly less thick?

This is looking good though, a great first effort.

All - Thanks for the entries so far.

The quality is very high & we are impressed! B)

The favorite to date is looking like the first logo posted by Subract. We like the circles & the clean cut design.

One further hint that could look good would be the inclusion of a globe (to create that global feel).

Thanks again for your efforts

Going for a more "global" theme as seems to be required. :)

Do you guys have a current website?

Not currently. We plan to launch a subsequent web template competition once we have the logo nailed down.

Not much help I'm afraid - did you have any specific question?

These are good. Can you try the text style of number 2 on number 1? :)

Thanks

Could you make one final amendment?

The 'arc' now seems a little large for the font. Could you reduce it in size slightly so that it sits a little closer to the writing?

:)

No specific question. It just would have helped with getting a feel for you company. No biggie.

ElKootcho

We like this logo a lot. Very clever to keep a 'red' element, but actually have the name in black.

Great stuff everyone! Happy Easter all!

Huhhso - one other idea. Could you change the text colour to black from red? We know the original brief was red, but a mix of red & black in one or two of the entries has made us think about that as a possibility....

Thanks

Well that's it! Thanks to everyone for the entries. It's been very difficult to make a decision as the quality was so high, but the winner is ONDAROX! (ENTRY POSTED Posted on Apr 17 2003, 04:58 PM)

We felt the logo was very clever, combining the element of flight & combining RED with BLACK.

I plan to run a web template competition very soon - hope to see you all again then!
