(Admin code added by 2Square - F121872N)
I'm looking for a t-shirt design for Family Fun Run for a local church.
Elements needed in the design:
Family (represented somehow)
Running (represented somehow)
Text: Christ United Methodist Church (doesn't need to be big)
Text: Plano, TX (small)
Text: October 16, 2004 (small - in some format)
There is a "Family Funfest" going on in conjunction with the run, so use that however you can.
The design will be going on white shirts - full front. Three to four spot colors can be used and halftones are okay. Please keep halftones in the range of 20-80% unless a smooth gradient is being used.
I would like to decide on a winner of this contest by 6/30.
I've had great results using DesignOutpost.com and am looking forward to working with you again.
Thanks,
Robin DeRouen
I have a couple questions:
What is the imprint area for the shirts?
Will this be on kids shirts as well? (Scaleability and readability at smaller sizes is what I am thinking.)

The image will be going on children's and adult shirts. I do expect to have to scale it for different sizes - probably just 2. The smallest imprint will probably be about 8.75" x 8.75". The largest about 13" x 13". The imprint doesn't have to be square - the maximum width or height just cannot be exceeded.
Thanks for the interest.

Thought it may look better without the circle on the Tee.

I just wanted to let you know that I am monitoring the board. The images I see so far look great. I wouldn't mind seeing a few more if anyone is interested in posting.
Thanks,

Deanna & Paula,
Thanks for the new layout ideas - they look great! We should have a decision on which design we will use by 6/30.

Robin,
If you can give some feedback on the designs you may not only get revisions from exsisting designers, but new designers that may have been waiting for direction.

Jason,
Thanks for the advice. For any future designs, use the words "Fun Run" instead of "Funfest". The words "Block Party" or "Family Block Party" could be used as well. I'm not asking for revisions to any of the existing designs yet, but if one of those is chosen, that change will need to be made.
All of the designs look great. Here are some specific comments that might help guide any additional designs.
Carl: The text at the bottom "Family Funfest" will need to be changed to something like "Family Block Party"
Jason: The design may be a little too simple compared to some of the others.
Deanna: "fest" would change to "Run".
Paula: Since you used both "Funfest" and "Fun Run", there would be duplicate if we just changed "Funfest" to "Fun Run" . We could probably change "Funfest" to "Block Party". Good job with the web address - you must have found that on your own. On the round design - the closest mountain to Plano is out in west Texas, about 500 miles away.
Thanks again for your entries.

It looks like we have a winner! My customer has decided that Carl's entry is just what they are looking for. Carl, we do need one minor revision - the text "Family Funfest" needs to be changed to "Annual Block Party". When the revision is complete, please send me a copy of the artwork in Adobe Illustrator 8.0 (or earlier) format.
I want to thank everyone who provided ideas for this project. Your work is very much appreciated and I will be back to this forum every time I have an opportunity.
Thanks,
Robin DeRouen
