I know what Mike looks like unfortunately. I know what Marina and Ruairi look like from avatars of theirs. Other than that you're all just names to me. It would be great if I could put a face with a name. So how 'bout it? This includes contest holders too Jeff :P Don't be shy, let's see those attractive mugs.
Here's me, my wife Sherri, Noah who is 5, and Evan who will be 2 on May 16th. I'm the oldest looking one :D

I'm not sure why.... but, I'm pleasantly shocked to see that some of the faces behind the names are female.... example - ubergerlgeek. (The screen name is now coming to me as I say it repeatedly over and over and over really fast... uber girl... uber girl... heeheee)
Although, it's all making sense now.... guys don't kill me for being a turncoat, but who better at using imagination, creating things and designing than women??
And, I'm not posting my pic because you'd have to shut the board down and have it quarantined for SARs! LOL.
I hope I get some brownie points from the female populace now

Ok, so you're not the oldest here. I'm 37 and my hair has also been turning slowly gray since my twenties.
The picture was taken during the winter so being from Ohio, we usually don't have tans that time of year :) Mid-summer I have a very nice "farmers tan" going on. I really look silly when I go swimming. :P

Yes it still functions, if you want to go out and get wood to put in it :D There is one in the kitchen and living room. The house was built in 1889, and has had some expansions. But being the age it is, once the fireplaces were a needed source of heating and cooking. They add to the decor, but are not used often, I am just to lazy to actually put wood in them! B)

Are you in the eastern US? I love old homes... can't imagine one from 1889 though. I like the 1920-1930 era homes in our neck of the woods. Those are the ones with wood flooring and have the porch that stretches around the entire house so you can sit outside on the cool evenings while discussing the local political happenings along with how Uncle Joe ran off with the Mayor's wife.... and... er.... nevermind, I digress. ;)
I have had wood floors in my entire house.. they are cool to the touch in the winter, but have a raw beauty.

Beetle,
I can totally relate. Everyday I come in the door from work, my 3.5yr daughter, Rachael, comes running and literally jumps into my arms while yelling "daddy, daddy, you're home!". And, if it happens to be either Tue or Thurs (she goes to pre-k) she grabs her school bag and shows me all her pics and tells me everything she did.
I'm told to enjoy it while I can.. at some point they don't do that all the time.
LOL, xteriormotive... It does remind me of a time my wife and I went to Disneyworld before the kids...and we saw a family (mom, dad, two small kids) and the parents were yelling at the fussy kids "you will have fun, da** it, or else!" I just remind myself of that everyday...

Muy bien Beetle. ¿Cuantas lenguas puede hablar/escribir Ud.?
Kimber - you'd be amazed by some of these bikes - Monter Garage is on cable, on the Discovery Channel, I believe. The main guy (not really a host) is Jesse James, who got this show as a result of a couple shows he did about his bike shop, West Coast Choppers, and the bikes he custom builds there. Monster Garage's premise is to take take a car or bike and turn it into something extremely unusual. For example, they turned a limo into a limo/firetruck, turned a Suburban into a wedding chapel with sides that opened like reverse gull wings to allow brides and grooms to walk through and be married, while a full pipe organ grew hydraulically from the back, played by an organist. There was also a Mustang that they turned into a 50mph lawn mower. Wild stuff.
The other show I'm sure you'd like, but can't think of the name. It's like Jesse James' shop, but this one is Orange County Choppers, and they build $100-$200K (US :) ) bikes from scratch. Everything is totally custom. The last project was the Black Widow. Hey - I just found their site - check it out: http://www.orangecountychoppers.com/occ/default.html
Anyway, I've got work to do.
Hasta luego.

I knew someone from the UK would recognise her before anyone else would (athletics -- or "track and field" -- is much bigger in the UK than it is in the USA... even though USA are much better than us <_< ). Ya. Bad lighting can effect any camera. Even if you spend a TON of money on it. Dim lighting and not changing your camera's settings can really create some really poor quality shots.
I am still figuring mine out, but its getting easier after doing some reading on it.
