Hello designers,
This is a tough one, but from what I've seen here, I really have my hopes up!
We need a logo designed for the: Florida Retail Federation Self Insurers Fund.
It's a workers' compensation insurance fund for retail & service businesses in Florida.
The goal is to build a recognizable identity that will be known as: The Fund. So the logo should focus on "The Fund" and "Florida Retail Federation" is secondary. The words, "Self Insurers Fund" are not necessary.
Key Points
It should have a Florida feel, yet corporate--not resort-like.
It absolutely has to look great on a golf shirt or oxford!!!
Colors are blue & whatever
Vector EPS format
Decision by committee, so please be patient with us.
Ask any questions necessary.

Excellent work! And so quick! :D
We are going to need to get the word "Federation" in there. Can you make it work?
The orange looks great, but being Florida (Gators) that may not be the best color choice. Is green too mundane? Your thoughts?
Thanks,
Carla

Good news! I was able to speak with both my VP & Pres this morning, so we are ready to move forward with the contest with this change:
Due to trademark issues, the logo should not focus on the term "The Fund." The actual name is "Florida Retail Federation Self Insurers Fund." So, these are the six words you have to work with. Use them any way you want. Include an icon or symbol that could be recognizable on its own (by our market).
I apologize for the inconvenience and hope that those who have already submitted will try agian.
Best of luck to all,
Carla

Carla can you give me the deadline date again I must have deleted it when I changed the title
Here's a change from my original idea to reflect the name.

The deadling is July 8.
Nice job Mark. It's even better than the first version!
Bill, nice font. Dolphin probably not the image of choice.
Moz, you may be old enough to remember paste up (so do I), but your logo shouts youth! & a little surfy (maybe that's the California in you.) We're looking for a more conservative tone.
Thanks all!

Mark, good news!
I just heard back from my VP & Pres. Your design is in the lead! They would like to see some different color combinations. Please work your magic. :P
To all artists: The contest runs until July 8, with a $250 purse. So I hope to see some more designs before it's over.
Thanks,
Carla

Everyone has submitted such wonderful & diverse ideas. I know it's hard to design a logo without much direction. I really appreciate your time and creativity.
Mark, thanks for the variations, but the colors continue to be very muted. Can we try something a little more vibrant?
Thanks,
Carla :P

Thanks for making the color variations like I requested.
Since the Fund's board of trustees has to approve the colors and they don't meet until later this month, we decided that we'd make this easier for us both.
Please go ahead and send me the logo in a VECTOR EPS format. The design itself is perfect! Our art department can alter colors as needed to please the board. (May not be as easy as it sounds!) :bash:
Please send it to: curbany@summitholdings.com
Once our art department has the file, I'll post to the administrator that our job is complete & you can get paid!
Congratulations to you and thank you for bringing a fresh perspective to this project!
