Having PM troubles-

twice I've tried to respond to PM's that designer's have sent me and I keep getting the error message that their inboxs are full (I really don't think they are).

Also, while logged on I received a message that I had a new PM. Clicked on the link to open in a new window then I was taken to my Inbox where it said I had no new messages? :(

I've raised the limit for how many messages they can store so you won't get the inbox full message any more. Regarding the missing PM, all I can say is ask the person to send it again. I think it may of been sent before we made the switch.

I am getting a similar problem. I tried to PM Samoyloff and it tells me that "Blue_Elephant" doesn't accept PMs. If I click on Samoyloff's profile it links to "Blue_Elephants". They don't even have the same userid...

Can one of the administrators have Samoyloff contact me via email please?

Nevermind, I seem to have been able to fix this by deleting my cookies and relogging in.

The programmer that did the mambo/vBulletin integration is trying to fix this bug. I resolved my issue with it by closing the browser for a bit and reopening it. Logging out also is a way for a temporary solution until we get it fixed.

Even though we just launched the new forum we are seriously considering an upgrade to 3.0. Mike tells me there are some CMS's that work with 3.0 without having to mess with the code.

I have an apparent problem with this too. When I go to "forum home", it says:

Design Outpost
Welcome back, MVA
You have new message(s) ,

I click on the "message(s)" hyperlink and it tells me I don't have permission or the I may be trying to access someone elses PMs!?

I've tried deleting cookies and restarting, but to no avail.

Solutions, anyone?

Thanks

If you have a private message it will say you have 1 new message or 2 new messages etc. If you ho no new message it will not have a number it will just say you have message(s)

I'll try to make it not show anything if you have zero new messages.

Regarding the permission error. You shouldn't be getting that. You should be linked to your private message inbox.

Is anyone else getting an error message when clicking on that link? http://www.designoutpost.com/forums/private.php?s=

ok, when I go to my UCP, it does report "no new messages".

(:( I thought the supposed message might be good news:()

Same problems here... If I click on a member's name to view their profile, it gives me someone else's (a different userid) information. Same thing when I try to PM someone on my buddy list.

I've logged out/deleted cookies/etc. to no avail.

Please get this fixed, I need to contact one of the designers ASAP!

I believe our programmer is working on the profile issue.

We are trying to find the source of this bug, it's not as easy as you would think. So far the easiest way to solve this is to either use a different browser or close your current one for 5 minutes, then open it and try again.
