Prize: $125

Company: Sister Thrift, an online thrift store opening September 1 with retail locations to follow. We partner with non-profit corporations to sell donated items on their behalf.

Logo: We are very open to your ideas. What we had imagined was the primary focus of the logo being 2 girls, one with brown hair and one with blonde hair - big smiles on their faces are important. We imagined them being cartoonish, almost stick figurish. The girls should either be holding hands or have their arms over each other's shoulders. The arms on the other side of each of their bodies should reach out and meet in a big circle in front of them. Inside the circle we wanted animals (cats, dogs, etc.) and people. The girls are to represent my sister and I and the other figures would represent some of the non-profit causes we support. We also want the company name, Sister Thrift, to appear somewhere in the logo.

This is just a general description of what we came up with, but we are very open to your creative ideas! Show us what you've got!

Thank you!!!

Hi Paula:

Great start! I think I would like to see something that is a combination of the two logos. Can you try this:

Use the "Sister Thrift" from the first logo and put the images from the second logo under the rainbow with "Sister Thrift" below them. We also aren't partnered exclusively with animal welfare non-profits so it would be useful to have some children peeking through the letters in "Sister Thrift" or something else that implies we also support causes dedicated to human welfare. The tag line we've been using for the web is "where the thrift store comes to you".

I'd like "sister thrift" to be in the same color blue as the first band in the rainbow.

This may look totally silly in reality, but would it be possible for the girls to be sitting on the logo with the animals behind them under the rainbow?

It's difficult to describe what we want online so let me know if you have no clue what I'm talking about :D

Thanks!

~ Rhonda

Hi, Here are the changes.
Thanks,Paula

In this one I capitalized the title for a better platform for the girls to be sitting on. I also placed the animals around, instead of behind the girls. They looked liked they were floating objects when placed behind.
Thanks,Paula

Hi Paula -

Ok, I spoke with my sister. She wants to take the rainbow and heart out altogether and the hearts off the i's. She also wants to take out the fish bowl and the dog. I think she wants something a little more simple. Let's try that and see how it goes.

Thanks!

Hi Msaygin -

Can you it try without the rainbow and butterflies - my sister says no rainbows. Also, change the "Sister Thrift" font to blue and take out the background. Basically so it's just the girls and "Sister Thrift"

Can you try to make it so the girls aren't touching, but instead the girl with the brown hair is holding a cat. Then move the blonde girl over a little bit so her arm is draping over the other side of the "T" in "thrift" and have a cat walking on the first part of the "T" that the blonde girl is petting.

Also, can both the girls have straight long hair?

Thanks!

Hi All -

After having a chance to talk this weekend, my sister and I decided that we really like Paula's logo and it is exactly what we're looking for. If there are no other plans for submissions from anyone else, we are going to end this contest tomorrow, 7/26.

Thanks!
