Hi all,
This looks like it'll be a fun project.
Title: Surf & Turf Classic
Icons: Fishing Pole, Golf Club, Redfish, Golfball.
The species of fish is very important here. It has to be a Redfish(Famous for the spot on the tail.) For more info on the species, go to
http://www.redfishtour.com/ or search Google (http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&q=redfish&btnG=Search)
Colors: No definite colors, but the client assumed green(golf), blue(fishing/water), and ??
Feel free to experiment.
the name should keep "Surf & Turf" together, and "Classic" can go below.
This will be used in a variety of media including TV, Print, &Web. Should look good in grayscale, black & white, etc.
Am I forgetting anything? Let me know.
Good Luck,
Vince

Hi All,
I really like these designs. There's a lot of talent here.
A few notes:
Msaygin, I like the concept, but can you make the fish look like it's coming out of the hole? Showing the head?
Also, I'd like to see a few more "Classic", "Regal", "Rich", "Ritzy" looking logos..
like, have a Fishing Rod(Spinning Rod & Reel (http://images.google.com/images?q=spinning%20rod%20reel%20combo&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi) ), and a Golf club crossed in an "X",
or a golfball with a fish warped over top, sitting underneath the
"X".
Thanks for the great entries, and all of the colors are great.
Cheers,
Vince

When you think you are happy with the illustration, we can work on fonts.

Works equally well without the rod and club. ;)

Hi Samoyloff,
Like the second logo, and we'll probably go with that logo, if you can change a few things.
1) The fish in your first entry looks a bit more like a redfish than the fish in your second entry. Redfish have a more rounded snout, rounded head. Please check out some more pics to see what I mean. The 2 fish in your second entry have more of a dolphin nose.
2) The client asked if the fins in the second can be more like the first. Not solid black, the lines on the first look nice.
3) Can you make one of the golf clubs a Fishing rod with Spinning Reel.
I was trying to think how i would fit, but maybe with the reel on the top left and rod pointing down so it's not covered by fish, or, if you have other ideas.
4) The spot on the redfish tail should be more to the top of the tail.
That's it. Looks great.
Thanks,
Vince

Hi Alexander,
Looks great.
I'm assuming these will come in vector files.
Also, Is the font a standard font? Will it be included?
Thanks,
Vince

Hello Vince,
Yes, I will provide vector files, however I can not provide the font, as that would be copyright infringement, as I do not have a right to distribute the font. It's Futura Extra Bold and can be purchased from the copyright holder here (http://www.fonts.com/findfonts/detail.asp?pid=405106). The logo will be provided with all fonts outlined, so you actually won't need the font, unless you want to use it for some other things.
Thanks,
Alexander.

Hello Vince,
You need to declare who's the winner. :) I guess that's how it works here. I'm still new to DO - only one month. :)
Thanks,
Alexander.
