I need a logo for my pet sitting business. I came here because I know some other sitters who have had great luck, and hope I get the same!
The business name is Watchdog Pet Sitting. I DO care for cats too! I get asked that a lot, so I would like to have a cat in there too to make it clear to people. I serve a rather upscale, urban clientele, so would like something that appeals to them. Nothing really cutesy. Must be easily reproduced in black and white, and clear enough to be scaled down to business cards.
Is there any other information I can provide to help this out?
Thanks,
Tiffany

Hi Tiffany, do you have particular breeds of dogs and cats that you would like included?

Could you turn the cat around, so they are looking at each other? Also, maybe a more solid font? I like it, but feel it may be hard to see from a distance.

Hello Tiffany,
Here's my entry. I think something elegant must work for your target audience. Please let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Alexander.

I actually think I like it better without the eyes. I do like the general design. Thanks!

Thanks Bill. The design is cute, but I think I'd prefer a less cartoon dog. Also, after some thought and feedback from others, I think I'd rather see what can be done with the name "Watchdog" taken as a guardian, rather than a timepiece. As a sitter, that's really more of what I do.
Thanks everyone, and I'd love to see more!

Ok, a few feedbacks here:
Bill- I forgot to mention one big part missing - a cat!
Teetee - I rather like the new one, not crazy about the revision of the first, I think I liked the one with them touching noses best.
Juvanescence - I like the style, but there's no cat, and the actual dog is a bit hard to discern. I worry that If it was on say, a car sign, it would be tough to see. Can you perhaps do something with both cat and dog, but more defined?
A few things I thought of for all - I would not be opposed to having a human figure in there, but I would want it very generic, no real features. Another thing that could tie in is a key, since I have keys to all these folks homes. Just some food for thought.
Thanks, and I look forward to seeing more!

ok, just the keyhole effect added for security...watch this space

through the Keyhole
watchdogps

Teetee - The second keyhole effect isnt bad, but I still like that desing without it. The first keyhole addition reminds me of a mousehole, so I like the original better there too.
Bill- I like this one a lot! Good use of all the elements I'm after.
BTW, I have asked a few other people I know to look to, and give me opinions based on a consumers view. But, these other people own their own businesses too, so it may get you guys some more work, so keep it coming! Thanks!

Ok, some more feedback -
Bill- could you do the key one in different colors? maybe make the dog lighter for more contrast between it and the cat?
Teetee- could you do the last one without facial features? More like a silhoette? Not sure how that will look, but would like to see...
Thanks!

Deanna - quite nice! I dont have anything to chnge at the moment, but if I think of something, I'll let you know.
Teetee - nope, sorry - bad idea on my part. I dont think this design does much for me. Thanks for the effort though!

Hi Tiffany, New idea with pet and home in mind

Teetee - good concept, can you do it in B/W for me?
Deanna - I like the one without the clock better, but am a bit concerned that the dog and cat overlapping makes it hard to see in the B/W version. Could you alter it so that they aren't touching?
Thanks!

Hey Bill,
could you please do your key concept logo in different colors? Perhaps a lighter dog to give more contrast between the cat and dog?
Here's the dog in a bunch more colors...

Bill,
Hope you get this soon! Can I see the key design without the background circle? Also, could you give me a few different fonts to look at? I like the straight lines of the one you used, but maybe something with just a touch more pizzazz? No cursive or flounce, but something a little more....
Thanks!

Just wanted to say I will choose a logo at the END of the day tomorrow, August 15th. If you have any last minute additions to make, etc, throw them at me now!

I want to thank everyone for their designs and let you know it was a tough desicion. There were some great submissions! But, I have chosen Bill's key concept design. I really feel that one did the best job of portraying a sense of compassion as well as security. Thank you all!

Thanks for the revisions! I do like it without the circle. I also like the font best on the left so far, but could the "pet sitting" words be a little bolder, more to scale. I am just thinking they get lost under the big letters of "watchdog" Also, could you leave the cat white, but draw the outline in black on the left side where he kind of dissapears? I hope I'm explaining that clearly...

SO SORRY it took me so long - I have been swamped. Anyway, I would like to go with the 2nd design from the top on the Aug 11th 1:15 AM post, but with the font from the very last post.
Thanks!
Like this?
If so, send me a PM with your email address and the formats you'd like the artwork. I'll get it sent out right away. Thanks,
bill...
