I need a company logo for a promotional company, this will be used for letterheads, apparel, promotional items and various other imprints we need. I need something that is usable in black print as well as color.

Robin--
Welcome to DO! Do you have any other information about what you'd like to see in your logo? Are you looking for a text-based logo or one that has a graphic with it? What style do you prefer?
Sometimes other clients post ideas of logos they like after going through old contests or the gallery. That might be helpful for you if you have the time.
Thanks!

Julie,
Sorry I did not answer your question sooner, I am new at working
through a website. As for your question, I was hoping to get both to choose from. At this point I am considering either.
Hope this helps.
Thank You,
Robin

Jason-A good start but to plain. When your company name is
Creative Promotions the logo says it all.

Hi Robin--
Here's my idea for you:

Julie - I really like "Shining a new light, fit marketing into that somehow and you've got my number one pick so far. Nice work.
Thanks,

Hi, Robin--
I'm just trying to sort out exactly what you want...are you liking the star and graphic, or is it the tagline you like?
Sometimes I'm not the sharpest pencil in the cup .
RobinM
07-27-2004, 03:49 PM
Julie - I actually like both, the tagline fits the graphic. I need the
tagline to deliver the message that I am not just selling imprinted
promotional products, but marketing programs. Tough job in a few words. Thanks, Robin

Taldo - Too Bold & Masculine
Julie

Robin-
Just an FYI--I'm still thinking about the tagline. I'll definitely get back to it.
RobinM
07-28-2004, 06:37 PM
Julie - I think we can leave the tagline it grows on you. For
now let's see what it would like if you remove the border from the
star. We will be printing this on alot of items and that would leave no room for error on registering this in two colors.

Hello,
Here's an idea from me, the first two letters of your company name (CP) in a shape of a creative person having a great idea coming to his mind! :D Please let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Alexander.

Here that is--one with just the outline taken out and the other without the outline or the light center.

Taldo - We're getting closer, it needs a little flash. Nice job.
Robin
RobinM

Buginaiar - Needs to be just two colors. Looks nice but can we
try a different graphic other than a star. Already have that one.

Hypnosis - Nice and bright but it needs to be a two color
imprint. Could we try a graphic other than a star?

Alexander - Great idea, very creative but not very attractive.
Try that again! Robin

Hi!
As far as mine needing more "flash" - do you mean color wise or does it need some other graphics added? Thanks!

Julie - I like them both, nice work! Robin

What about this?

Taldo - I guess the best way to put it is that it just doesn't really
draw my attention. Too masculine! Guess it must be a woman thing. Thanks, Robin

Samoyloff - I like your creativity, I'm not sure this approach is for
me. I would like to see something else from you. Thanks, Robin

Hello Robin,
Here's another try. Still the same "CP" idea, just differnet approach. How's that? :)

Robin, I've moved your additional topic here, for we usually declare the winners within the Project thread. :)

Julie, I like the last revision you made with the solid yellow star.
I don't think any revisions need to be made. I have Corel Draw
if you can do this, if not eps should work.
Thank,
Robin

Hi, Robin--
My phone lines have been up and down all day after a big storm that rolled through this morning. Unfortunately, that's delayed my posting this.
I've attached the file as an .eps. I'd be happy to do the full package for you, but since this is all you asked for, I can stop here. Just let me know.

Julie,
Thanks so much for all your help and a terrific job. I will highly
recommend you. If it isn't to much trouble for you to download
the whole package that would be great. Once again, thanks alot! Robin

Julie,
Would it be possible for you to send this directly to my email at
creativepromotions@bright.net rather than going through WinZip.
It would be a big help to me.
Thanks,
Robin

Julie,
Just open the file and it looks great. I had no problem with the
WinZip so you can download the others whichever way is best
for you.
Thanks for all your help.

Julie,
I hate to keep bothering you but in all the excitment I did not
realize that the logo you sent was not your last revision. But if
you send them all it won't matter.
Thanks,
Robin

I certainly will send the entire package to your email--that's not an issue at all. I'm only wondering, though...I sent the logo that I have circled in the attachment (for demonstration purposes only :) ). That was my last revision. Isn't that the one you wanted?

Robin,
I have some work to do outside my office, so I'll be out until later this afternoon--I'll probably be able to respond to you if you need just a text response.
Also--this is crazy, but because of that storm my voice phone service is still down, but for some reason DSL is up. If I don't get back to you later this afternoon it's because DSL finally gave up the fight as well. If that happens I will get in contact with you ASAP, though...so don't think I've forgotten about you.
:)

Julie,
Sorry to be so much trouble. I take it from your message that
you were not able to downlaod the whole package. If you did
I wanted to let you know that I did not receive anything from
you. Let me know what we need to do next to get this wrapped
up.
Thanks,
Robin

Me again! I forgot to tell you that the revision you have circled
is the correct one, but the one I received was the first one you
posted. Just wanted to let you know.

Julie,
Sorry to bother you again but we still don't have the right logo.
The one you circled with no outline on the star was the one I
wanted. What I got was the original one you started with plus
one with a checker board background that I had never seen.
Could we please try this again. Please send to my email at
[EDIT: Email removed].
Thanks,
Robin

Just in case it takes a while for you to get the file, here's the email I sent you:
Robin--
I've had three other designers check for a black line around the star with the files I sent you, and no one can find it. I did take out a white line I had around the star, hoping that might solve the issue. In addition, the GIF I sent you was transparent for web use. If you were to place it on a web page, the background that is showing up as a gray checkerboard would remain transparent, letting the background color of your page show through. This is a standard file format. I'm resending the file without the white line around the star. The GIF file will still have the checkerboard.
Thanks,
Julie
