Hi

I have seen some great logos on this site and I thought it was about time I got myself one of them for myself!

I am looking for a logo for my new business, which is Black Dog Bakery (The Bakery for Dogs). I know that Dog bakerys are very common in the US but I am in the UK and its a fairly new thing over here. At the moment the Logo I have is very simple it is Black Dog bakery with a black paw print before and after the name.

So what I am looking for is: Something Fun

must contain the words - Black Dog Bakery, The Bakery for Dogs

A picture of a dog, I like the cartoony type dogs I have seen on here before. I have Black Labradors (hence the business name)but I would consider any type of dog.

As for colours, must contain some black but other than that I am open to suggestions.

Ermmm not sure what else to put at this stage, if there is anything else you need please ask!

Hi Alexander, thanks for your entry.

I LIKE the paw in the letter O that looks really good. I'm not overly keen on the yellow colour would it be possible to change the yellow for another colour. The cake looks a bit strange:D too. Would it look better with a bone on the plate?:confused: Hope i'm not being to critical.

Thanks for your comments and criticism. You can't be too critical, as it is a part of any logo design project, and a very important part. :) SO here's the revised logo. Please let me know what you think.

Not sure about this one either - sorry!:blush: The bone is better than the cakes but it's maybe still a little to serious. Could the font for 'Black Dog' be made a little less harsh, (still love the paw but I don't know if you could do that in any other font.)

My main customers are females between 20-50 years!

Thank You for all your entries, here's some feedback for you:

Bill - This has to be my favourite so far, I love the dog, I love the Font style and the bones too. I'm just wondering if the backgound could be slightly paler, so that its not the same colour as the icing/frosting splodge on the nose. Other than that its great! :D

Eagle - I think it looks a bit to 70's in the red and orange!:P I'm not really keen on the silloutte type logos, I was really after something cartoon style, but cheers for the entry.

Julie - I like the idea of your design, but not too sure about the dogs head, is there another one you could try? Thank you!

Alexander - this is the best doggie picture of yours so far, still not keen on the font tho'

A big thankyou to everyone so far - is there anything else you need to know to make it easier for you?:D

I like the last one! The Font is great, I really like the curly/squirley round ish looking fonts. The dog is nicer too. Can't think of any changes at the moment either.

Ohhhh this is a good one too!!! The dog is blacker in this one, it looks good. The new background colour also seems to make the dog stand out. Can't think of any more changes for you on this one.:yes:

Bill I have thought of some changes if you don't mind

Could you do the dog without the tongue, or with the tongue a little smaller, as the colour of the frosting and the red tongue seem to merge into one. Just wondering if it would look clearer that way. :D

Thanks for your designs. I like your ideas, but I think these may be a little too 'busy' as there so much too look at.

I prefer the dog without the tongue, and prefer the font style on the blue design.

I like this dog better. The 2nd design - the one where you have done it in all black too. I do prefer it with the extra writing (bakery for dogs) underneath. I can't think of anything i would ask you to change at the moment. Thanks.:D

I am going to try and make a decision on who is the winner in the next day or so. :yes: Trouble is, I have shown all the enteries to family and friends and everyone seems to like a different one!:confused:

Bill - would it be possible for you to change the dogs tongue on your entry slightly please, either to slightly smaller or a little different?

ermmm... just one tiny one please - I would like the edge of the tongue to come from the centre of the mouth, rather than where it is - does that make sense?

I seem to have a fascination with this dogs tongue don't I ? :D

Ok seeing it's just one minor adjustment I will not move your project to the Revisions forum, can I ask that once you have the files from Bill that you post a message in here to say the project is now complete and you are in receipt of the files :)
