Hi,
I've used you guys before with great luck...I'm sure this time will be no different.
I'm looking for designs for (2) 4X6 postcards. These postcards should be designed on both sides in full-color. Please allow 1/8" bleed.
This is for a 3D/4D fetal ultrasound company. We offer real-time motion 3D fetal ultrasounds to all families. These postcards will be mailed out to pregnant moms multiple times in their pregnancy so I would like a different look for each postcard so that they may be rotated.
I have attached several 3D pics so that you may view what 3D fetal ultarsound is. Feel free to use these files in the designs.
Take a look at our website to get some other ideas. Don't hesitate to ask questions!
Thanks!
Missie

Welcome back Missy. A couple of questions:
1. Do you have any prepared copy for these cards?
2. Who is your intended audience? Moms-to-be? doctors (for referrals?)?
3. Can you provide your logo?
Any other info would be great. Thanks!!!! :)

Here is some text that we believe would fit well. Please don't hesitate to give your opinions.
"When the bond is too strong to wait, allow First Glance to assist you in watching your baby’s first smile, stretch or yawn in live 4D motion. It’s the next best thing to holding her in your arms…"
The logo is attached.

One thing I omitted was the company information which is important for the postcard. Please add the physical address, phone number and website address.
Also, this is being sent to pregnant women that are between 18 and 36 weeks pregnant.

Hi Missie,
---------
For the designers...
The .eps version of her logo can be found here (http://www.designoutpost.com/forums/attachment.php?s=&postid=78445) as posted in her last contest.

I may enter something shortly. Trying to work though "designers block" right now

Hi Missie,
I'm sorry for the delay in getting anything posted for you to look at. I plan on having a design ready for you late tonight but had one more quick question for you:
Will this postcard need an address area on the back side? In other words, will this be mailed separately like a typical postcard or will it be put in an envelope with other materials (not individually addressed)?
Thanks!
Missie

Hi, Mike.
It will be mailed so there does need to be a space for the address and stamp.
I look forward to it!
Have a great evening.

Hi, Mike.
This looks great! I love the style and the color choices. I would like you to change one word for me now that I see the design. On the front, change "her" to "him". On the back, remove the phrase "You can actually see what your baby looks like before they are even born!"
Other than those two things I'm thrilled with it.
Now for the 2nd card. I'll write back later tonight with the copy.

Hi... I'll try to send you something...
In what format would you like to have the final design file? Photoshop? ...I think so.. :)

Hi, Bogglins.
Great! I would love to see it.
Yes, .eps would be fantastic.
I look forward to your design.

Here is the copy for the 2nd postcard.
I would like to close this out by Wednesday afternoon.
Thanks so much!
Does she have your nose?
Will he have a dimpled smile like his?
A few moments seem like forever...if only you could see her.
You can.
Take a look at your future with 4D ultrasound.
It's the next best thing to holding them in your arms...

Good Morning, Mike.
I like the way you have the text setup but I'm looking for different design elements on the 2nd card. This may go out to the same mom as the first one just a couple of weeks later thus the need for two cards.
Let's go a different direction on this one.

Hi, Everyone.
I apologize for being away for a bit but I was hit with some particularly nasty spyware and it took time to get it cleaned up.
SO!...
Hi, Nvoke...great to have you!
Mike, will you be submitting another card?
Bogglins, thanks for the entry. I'm not crazy about the colors. It reminds me of an Irish Kilt... Can we try moving away from all the straight lines and add some softness to it? And change the colors? Not necessarily pink and blue but I don't like the current combination. Do you have an idea for the back of the card?
Nvoke, I really like the first card. I like that it looks very professional and not too "babyish". I'm not crazy about the color tint on the pictures though. How does it look leaving them in the original color? Is it too harsh in contrast? If that's the case, can we soften them instead of change their color?
On the second card, I love the copy but looks a bit too 'babyish' for me. Can we go in a more professional manner, and add more pics?
Thanks so much for everyone's work.

Sorry for the long delay, Missie. I've been very ill and unable to get much work done. In any case, here's another layout to consider.

Hi, everyone!
Nvoke, I like the picture color a lot better. Can you soften the lines around the pictures to keep it from looking so blunt? On the 2nd card, I love the crayons and toys! So much that I don't even see the pictures. I think it's too colorful and eye catching and overshadows the pictures which are darker.
Welcome back from being ill. I hope you are feeling much better.
I like the second card a lot. The logo looks like it's an afterthought though. It just doesn't flow like the rest of the card does. What are you thinking on the back of the card? Could we just list the name of the company in a signature type font on front and put the logo on the back?
Thanks to all for your work. I'm impressed as always.

Hey guys.
Ok, I couldn't decide between the two of you so I spoke with the moderator and she said I could split up the contest money between you.
Mike, I like your last design the best so let's go with this one.
Nvoke, I like the first one u did w/ the darker pics.
I only have a few minor mods.
Contest closed.

I thought that 2 winners of 1 project is not allowed here at DesignOutpost... There is a rule about it.. Palmer gave me the link to it.. but i forgot...
It happened one time on me, the contest holder selected my concept as well as other designer's concept..
Unless the rules has been edited.. I don't know..

Emailed cre8or last week...she asked Palmer and it was approved. Dunno about previous rules.

Yes, I approved of this. I felt it was a unique situation compared to other times when only 1 designer could be chosen. I've replied to the private messages regarding my decision.

Nvoke,
In your first card, change the wording to say "...let First Glance assist you...
Other than that...fantastic!
Mike,
Just a few minor changes as well...On the front of the card change verbiage to "Does he have your nose?" and "Will she have a dimpled smile like his?"
I'm done!
Thanks to you both so much. I look foward to next time!

Nvoke,
Assist is spelled incorrectly now and I believe 'babies" should be "baby's"
