[Project Complete] Logo - JAMES BOND FEEL - Deadline 8/19 - $150

UPDATE: We know we want something that has the James Bond look and feel minus a gun now. So a stacked logo -meaning COUNTER on the top SPY on the bottom with a graphic that represents a man in a tux with either his arms crossed, etc.. See what you can come up with!

In need of a logo for print and web for a new software product called CounterSpy. The software application scans, detects, and removes spyware, adware and other potential threats from end-users computers.

The logo needs to work well in both a corporate and consumer market.

Elements to stay away from in the design:
--no magnifying glass
--no spy outlines
--no Fedora hat, detective images

Other words that may help for imagery:
--detect, search and destroy, proctive, protection
--alert, danger, ally


We're looking for something that's really UNIQUE - yet conveys what the product does.

Hello...here is a concept. I cut of the word SPY using the graphic below it...giving it a slight feeling of spying/peeking. Also the Circular motion of the eye symbol puts emphasis on the Counter part of your name. Let me know of any revisions you would like.

So.. CounterSpy is the name of the product/software (SpyBot, Stinger, TrojanRemover), right?.. Not the name of the company (Microsoft, McAffee, Symantec)?

All of these are on the right track. I will be getting additional feedback from my team on Monday morning and will post additional comments on all logo designs..thanks for your patience.

Concepts with the hand graphic and the gun can't be used although they definitely convey what a counterspy can do.

Using an eye image is ok, just needs to be a little less graphic as an eyeball.

To answer any questions on the product - the product name is CounterSpy, not the company name. And the product would compete with SpyBot, PestPatrol, McAfee Antispyware, etc.

One idea - can anyone think of a logo design for this that incorporates a "vault"? Closing the door in a sense to potential threats? Just a thought.

Was wondering if we could see some different detail for the eye graphic - so its a little more intuitive that it is an eye - without it looking like an "eyeball".

thanks, but i think the layout of counterspy won't work - it needs to be either stacked Counter with Spy underneath - justifed - or all one word. any other graphics you can come up with besides a shield for searching and detecting, protecting, securing?

REally like the work - and now that we know what we want - JAMES BOND FEEL - do you think you could come up with something that has the 007 typeface, a torso of a Bond character - doesn't need to be too detailed (face - wise), no gun..

-Shorten the torso of the man so that it is cut off right below the crossed arms
-Make the image proportionate to the stacked text of CounterSpy with the area of the logo symmetrical (rectangular)
-Take a look at www.007.com - we'd like to see a typeface similar to this
A-nd as part of the Y in CounterSpy - can you add "Subtle" lines that look like a gun coming off the right side of the Y (we're talking subtle though)
