I am looking for a logo for a new product. It is a 10 inch baseball bat handle with a FlexBand attatched to the end of it and the other end of the band is attached to afixed object so when u try to swing u have resistance. My initial thought is extremly big forearms gripping a bat handle and it seems as though they are trying to swing against resistance. thanks Big Shim

A few questions:
1> Do you have a deadline in mind?
2> How do you plan on using this logo (ie print, web, packaging, all of the above, etc)
3> Is there an existing web site or photos of your product that we can reference?
Thanks!

Since Mike's rarely online, I'll answer the best I can.

1) 2 weeks. I'll find out a definate deadline next time I talk to him.

2) All of the above. It will be featured and sold on the web site http://www.flexbandonline.com so I'll need something 72 dpi for that, but he will also be packaging it and putting the logo on posters so a 300dpi high resolution version is a must

3)The above web site has the FlexBand. This new product is a blue, thinner FlexBand attached to the handle part of a baseball bat. The user would attach one end to a solid object and swing to the point of resistance.

i like the ones that r posted but i was thinking of popeye or large forearms gripping a short bat handle with a band attatched to the end and its hard to swing because of the resistance. i can post a photo of product on monday.

the bat and band are idorsed by Paul Brownlee a hitting instructor for over 1200 student baseball players it was used for hundreds of swings a day, 2x a week with no problems for 6 weeks of training. IT WORKS!! its not as difficult as it looks u can vary the amount of resistance by standing closer or futher from the wall!! Just draw a logo please.

Sorry Mike, he's not on the Design Team, he's a contest holder. I'm sure he meant no offense, just putting in his 2 cents.

skcc2991 - sincerest apologies! I'm not one of the designers here, just a bumbling idiot contest holder that didn't mean any harm but should have kept their comments to themselves. Please accept this as a formal apology.

I was talking to Mike tonight at our golf league and he said he would like the logos to say FlexBand PowerSwing.

No one needs to change their current logos, just if someone does a new one use both words with the emphasis on PowerSwing.

Thanks :)

Elkootcho that is much closer to what im looking for however i prefer that the batter to be swinging or trying to swing against resistance. Ondarox this is the closest u have come so far, i prefer the angle that we have posted where Sean is swinging and u can see a close up of his forearms.THANKS Big Shim

This might be hard to describe but another thing I think I can add, If your going to use imagry to show how it works, the batter should be getting resistance when the bat is in the hitting zone. The batter should look like he swinging to just over home plate and the band stretching behind him.

Like Sean is in the photo below...

palmer my partner likes Elkootchos last one the best. however i like onderoxs last one .he is a hitting instructor and he says that the example that we used with Sean hitting is wrong . he should have his right arm turning over on his left or anther term could be rolling the wrist. whichever one of them comes up with the best version of that would be the winner!!!!! if u dont know what i mean mabe i could e- a picture of the correct way.sorry sean and i didnt play baseball. :help:

Ok, so it's down to ElKootcho's and Ondarox'. You guys can do your best to decypher Mikes instructions and "swing away" (just saw Signs (http://bventertainment.go.com/movies/signs/) last night) :D

I understand what he's talking about because it's one thing I try to teach basball players not to do when they golf. The back of the right hand should on top and the back of the left hand on the bottom at impact when you hit the ball. Here's an example...
http://www.beabetterhitter.com/text/batspe...and/tophand.htm (http://www.beabetterhitter.com/text/batspeed/tophand/tophand.htm)

Good luck guys :)
