(Admin code added by Michael - KV377124U)

Hello everyone,

I was just referred to this site and after taking a look around I thought I would give it a shot. Please let me know if I'm doing anything wrong ;) (I know I have to put the code number in this post but I haven't received it yet)

I work in an Information Management group that creates reports and presentations with lots of numbers. I need to come up with a “seal of approval” that will be put into every presentation we create or xls we create, etc.

Some Guidelines:
1) I’m thinking it would say something like: “Data provided by Information Management” or “DQA (Data Quality Assurance performed by Information Management)"

2) It needs to be pretty small (see examples below). It should be small enough that it can be easily put in any presentations but it should still be simple and readable.

3) I would like it to have a place where it would be very simple to add a date to (like the "thawte" example below). Something blank where I could just open up paintshop and type the date in the box and save.

4) Basic primary colors would be best. It should also print well in B&W.

Good luck, be creative!

I wanted to paste in some examples but I can't figure out how to paste them in right now, so the best I can do is point you at some sites.
1) http://www.verisign.com go to the bottom right corner where they have their "site seal program"
2) http://www.truste.org/ and look at their "site privacy statement" seal
3) http://www.thawte.com/ and look at the bottom right corner and their "secure site" seal

Thanks for the quick submissions. Here is some feedback:

Diane yours is very good. I don't think the paper roll is quite right but definitly on the right track.

Bogglins yours is easy to read and the size is just about right. We do not have a logo to use and I would probably like to see some sort of a graphic instead of just words. The one with green letters and red border would probably print the best in b/w so far (but maybe change the green lettering to blue.)

Samoyloff I don’t think yours is quite as easy to read but I do like having a border around the entire seal.

In general some sort of a graphic would be nice. Maybe put it over light grey with rivets or bolts to make it look “secure” like a safe? Or put a lock on it? Or something like that. I provide secure data which can be highly sensitive. As I said to start, be creative.

Thanks, I’ll check back later,
Dave

I haven't seem much activity so I will go ahead and close this out on Friday this week. I am still not *thrilled* with any of the submissions. Please see my previous notes if you are interested.

Thank you,
David

not active.. because you're not active too...
giving feedback to the last 2 submission/concepts after your previous post will surely give more interest to the designers... they will know which direction to go...

I apologize for the delay.
Here's an updated version based on your comments.
Thanks!

Sorry to not give as much feedback as needed. Hopefully this helps some.

Bogglins: I like your submissions the best because they are small but clear and easy to read. The red key is throwing me off a little, maybe if it was in blue or black it wouldn't stand out so much. The second one is interesting and I like the creativity but I like the top one better.

Brian: Thanks for following my comments from before with the colors and lock. I just dont' think it looks as professional as the ones from Bogglins.

Diane: Thanks for making the changes to your first idea. I think I like your first one better because it was easier to read. Maybe the idea of the safe is just too hard to do. At first glance it's hard to understand what the wheel and bar are on the bottom of the image.

Once again I apologize for not providing more input. I'll try to keep up daily this week before deciding on Friday.

Thanks for all your ideas.

Thanks everyone.

I am going to choose Bogglins. I just need a little color change, etc. on the final submission.

I'm not sure what happens next? Please advise.

Thank you,
David

Pieter,

Great, thanks. Just make the top and bottom stripes (where the "data provided by" and "date" appear) the same blue as you used in "information management". Could you also remove the line between the lock and the words "information mangement"

We will use photoshop to edit it.

Thank you,
David
