Here's a slight breakaway from the brief. A masculine design with a subliminal representation of the device in action. :)

Any chance of a freebie?...err, not that I need it of course!

Thanks for the submissions. The logo should be roughly the same as the current logo, just re-designed. There should be a 3D rendering of the device (not photo) on the left, with the JELQ name on the right.

That is not a photo of the device on mine; it is an illustrator drawing....

Oh, Ok.

Please ask questions, if there is something I can do to clarify what we're looking for.

Thanks!

First, I'd like to thank all of the designers that have worked on this logo project so far. I appreciate your efforts, and hope that you will continue with this contest.

I firmly believe that you all can take this to a higher level of design. I am willing to put my money where my mouth is, and have increased the prize from $100 to $200 for this logo.

I encourage the rest of you to get involved in this contest. I know there are some great ideas out there, and I hope that the increase in prize money will spur some real creativity.

---------------------

This one we are more interested in design ability, and less in creativity. We simply want to take the current logo at the beginning of this auction, and improve it. The device should be a more 3d rendering, with the JELQ text to the right (Verdana font preferred).

----------------------

Deadline extended to Aug. 29th.

Thanks,

arnet

First, sorry for my absence. I had a family emergency. I am now back, and determined to see this through. New deadline is as soon as we get something that works.

This contest is all about the logo image, so don't even worry about the logo text at this point.

The image of the device doesn't have to look so much like the actual device, but should be an over-exaggerated take on it. The "vision" of the device would have thicker handles and smoother curves. It should be 3D and angled somewhat.

Basically, a representation of what the device might look like - not a technical drawing of what it does look like.

Above is a way too technical drawing, but it might be helpful as a start. So far, I think the original beats out all submitted.

I take full credit for being confusing, and appreciate your efforts. I know someone out there will get it.

Please don't hesitate to ask questions.

Here's my first draft. I gave a slight resemblance to two, wavy, crossed sperm in order to push that masculine bit a bit further.

Closest thing so far is:

http://www.arnetwork.net/logo_designs/jecomments02.gif

please forget about the logo text and just work on the image of the device

Please try to create a 3D, slightly cartoonish design of the device. We will worry about the logo text later.

Please do the whole device, not just a part of it. Don't incorporate the device image with the text.

Thanks!

Here's a slightly drafty, new version, which will, of course, be cleaned up if you choose this design

I don't like the neon gradient. Please work on the DEVICE IMAGE only, don't worry about the text.

Make the handles more proportionate to the rollers. Make the handles thicker. Feel free to use creativity on the design. It doesn't have to look just like the actual device.

Looking Good. A little too artsy. A little too pointy.

Adrian (DesignGeneral),

Your logo is the closest to what we want. Make it smoother, use silver and black for the device, and the blue color for the logo text. Basically, use what you've got going to make a good replacement for the top logo at www dot jelqdevice dot com.

Thanks!

Hi arnet,

Do you have any news regarding this project?

Thanks,

Adrian

I think you're getting very close. Forget about the text, just focus on the device image. Take the top one above, instead of gradient add some depth with shading, add detail at the middle joint, make the handle uniform, and resubmit.

Thanks!

DesignGeneral
03-22-2006, 01:44 PM
Ok, will work on it now.

how is this?

arnet
04-04-2006, 01:16 PM
Getting closer. FORGET ABOUT THE TEXT, just focus on the image. Make it a about 200% of current size so we can work on some detail.

Add the rivets where they hinges are. The angle of the handle part seems wierd, check perspective. Add a dark coating to the handle part, as the actual device has this. That should be it.

Attached are some notes.

here's the revision :)

arnet

The bottom handle angle is now wrong, it should bend upward toward the top handle.

Where the rods attach to the rollers on the left needs better detail
