Hello designers!

I look forward to a new project with you.

I'm working on a Vintage Travel Logo - think old trading company feel, safari-style, adventure-like feel.

I'm putting together a brochure for our church's land & building campaign called, "Possess the Land!" - it involves our church taking possession of our land, beginning to clear and prepare the land, and start building our ministry center buildings - the first of their kind.

Images that come to mind our - a compass, footsteps, claiming the land, traveling to the promise land, etc.

I've included our church logo below. I would like to use some sort of sun in the logo. Also, I would like to use the small tagline "Community of Hope" in a font that goes with the vintage travel style - we don't need to use the green color.

Also, the big text should read:

Possess the Land!

Well, I look forward to working with you all. I'll be watching for your questions. Thanks!

Timeframe: It would be great to get this done around the 1st week of September.

Thanks for you input!

I like the start of it. Could we define the compass a little more with the directional notations using "N" for north, etc.?

Also, could we put some sort of hill in the logo - an analogy...like you are walking to, coming up over the hill, cresting the hill into the promised land.

It would be interesting to get think about combining the compass and the sun from our official logo I posted - just another thought.

Anyway, let me know. Thanks!
-Chris

That was kinda what I was going for. I tried to mimic your official logo.

here is an idea for you, or a variation on a theme is more correct i suspect.

i looked into some of the historical trading company logos, and attempted to "update" them somewhat . . .

i hope you like what you see.

Vintage, you said?

Sorry, you haven't heard from me for awhile. We are currently preparing for our 4th Hurricane here in Florida and our 2nd for Palm Beach County within 3 weeks.

Anyway, we are still talking about the logos. Late next week, I'll make it a priority to give you some direction, providing we still have power. Some people just got it restored this past Friday!

Thanks for your patience,
I'll be returning to our New "Normal"

We like your logo - do you think we could continue to work on it with a little alteration...

-You are on the right track with the mountains...could you change the perspective to looking from the mountain top into a valley...with the sun rising behind. Our pastor makes reference to cresting the hill and looking into the valley (aka promised land) - similar to what Moses did.

-I'm not sure how that translates to graphic design, but I guess a change of perspective might be what he's after.

Thanks for the help.
-Chris

P.S. I should be able to respond sooner now - hurricanes are all finished we hope.

Radical Seed...just wondered if you were still up to work on this project. It was shelved, but now is back. COH (Chris)

Hey RadicalSeed,

We've decided we want your logo as is...

...except for one thing.

Could you use the font "Baker Signet" for the words "Community of Hope" - that would be our official font for our name. Let me know if there is a problem.

Thanks,
-Chris

I will prepare a package of formats for you and link you to download them. Then we are done. You just have to leave a quick note here once you recieve the files. :)

I should have those ready sometime this afternoon.

Cheers
