CotterWeb Enterprises logo - $200 *Project Over*

Our company, CotterWeb Enterprises, requires a logo. The logo should be corporate style, very professional. The logo should include the text "CotterWeb Enterprises" - the LLC is not necessary. Please note the capital "W".

Our company owns several membership-reward web sites, such as http://www.inboxdollars.com (separate contest coming soon). It may be beneficial to work that concept into the design, but absolutely not necessary.

The primary uses will be offline (print), primarily in the header of published reports. We have no color preference so designers should feel free to experiment.

The logo will also be used on our web site, http://www.cotterweb.net. However, it is NOT necessary for the logo to match the current site colors, as we will modify the design to fit the logo. The print uses are far more important than for the web site.

As instructed by our design team, we request the following:

Original Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator files
.TIF
.EPS
.GIF
.PNG transparent

In addition, we would like a black and white version of the logo for use on faxes. While this is not a big issue with the logo, we would each post to have a black and white version as this will be considered in the decision.

We think it is difficult to tell what the letters are. Also, CotterWeb should be one word with a capital C and capital W, so having that split isn't desired.

what kind of logo that you're looking for? is that will be logotype (eg. microsoft, intel, cocacola)... or iconic (nike swoosh, aol, hp) ?
or integrated?
do you have any specific element that you want to be included in the logo? this will help the designers to capture what you have on your mind.. :)

I'm afraid we really don't have anything in mind. Our business is 100% web-based, so something to do with the Internet is a possibility. Otherwise, we don't have any specific style in mind - just waiting to see something that captures our interest!

We really like your "lucky leaf" concept. Can you think of any way to incorporate the "W" into that design while keeping it as similar as possible to the current one? :) We'd also like to see some color variations, and alternating colors in the triangles (i.e. top two same color, diagonals same color, etc). We'd love to see this logo played with further!

We love this concept! The green circle with the "W" really stands out - we especially like the "W". However, we're not sure about the surrounding "C" on the outside. The CW concept is definitely good, but we think the C seems out of place. If you could figure out some other way to work in the C, we'd like the design a lot more.

We're having a hard time putting into words why your submission isn't doing it for us. The dotted "I" doesn't seem to give the professional look we're going for. Sorry I can't provide more eloquence :(

The #3 - #6 variations aren't "doing it" for us. We like #1 and the original the best - we think #2 is too many colors and just too busy. If your submissions is chosen, we would want to experiment further with different color combinations of your original "lucky leaf" and variation #1 submissions.

hello.. sure we can do color revisions until you satisfied with the looks... if you have specific color on mind, you can give the hex number of it.. or the pantone number... or also you can point to any website... (eg. the blue of hp logo ... www.hp.com ---and the yellow of www.symantec.com)

This is our first post here so I don't really know all of the common procedure. What I mean was, your first design is one of our favorites, but if you want to experiment with other ideas, please do so.

I don't know the rules regarding how many different logos can be posted by a designer, so I apologize if I confused you! :)

Very creative how you made the C and W, but the design isn't very appealing to us. I'm not sure I can explain why, but the term "blocky" comes to mind.

We like the text and the symbol. The symbol could be played with, perhaps a little smaller, closer to the text, less drop shadow, those types of things.

We liked both the "3-color-blue" submission as well as the "blue+green" submission. We loved the business card idea, with the top image as the front and the green background as the back. Can you let us know how much more you would like to charge for this?


REVISIONS:

Can you please experiment with the following ideas?

<li>Color combinations - including two-colors like the blue+green and three-colors like the 3-color-blue.
<li>Make the text have more height in relation to the symbol
<li>Make sure "Enterprises" is centered under "CotterWeb"
<li>We also like the symbol above the text (as in the back of the business card), so we'd like a version of this as well.


If we could have all of the final files by the end of the week, that would be terrific. Thank you very much Pieter!

the text of enterprises is exactly centered under "cotterweb" .. perhaps the round shape of C and B make it like not centered.. unless you want to make the "enterprises" narrower that it is..

if you have a specific color preference.. it would be great if you could tell me... or point to some web address which got the colors that you like...
