(Admin code added by Palmer - 1RJ021684X)

Our web site, http://www.inboxdollars.com, requires a logo. If you visit the site, the current logo appears in the upper-left-hand corner.

The logo should be the same size and "fit" in the same location as the existing one. The logo should also match the colors of the InboxDollars web site.

InboxDollars.com is a membership reward web site - we pay members to read email, complete offers, etc - this information can be used in the logo, but is not necessary.

The current slogan - "Making money has never been so easy" - should be included on the logo. However, we are not absolutely set on that slogan, and variations and/or completely different (but with the same concept) slogans are acceptable.

As instructed by our design team, we request the following:

Original Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator files
.TIF
.EPS
.GIF
.PNG transparent

Thank you very much and good luck!

We like the concept of cash in the mailbox - it gives the right impression to potential members - but the design is a bit too cartoony. While we are not necessarily looking for corporate style prefessionalism, we don't feel cartoony fits the rest of the design.

Mark

We like this. Can you experiment with making the envelope out of currency, a bit thicker letters, and with the $ on the end (perhaps a straighter and/or two lines instead of one).

Also, replacing the logo with the current one and posting that image also is MUCH appreciated and makes it much easier to analyze - great idea!

Thank you for your submissions!

The letters and the trailing $ look a lot better. If this is the winning design, we will want you to play around with the graphic a bit more - we think a more realistic money image would fit the site better. However, this gives us a good enough idea of the logo - if you have any further ideas, please feel free to play with them!

Please see comments below to all designers.

All Designers

I didn't do a very good job of communicating at the beginning. Only a portion of InboxDollars is Paid-to-Read E-Mail (we pay members to do many other things). For this reason, we'd really like to stay away from the email concept and @ sign aspect in the logo.

It would be very beneficial if designers could place the logo in our design as Mark has done, which gives us a very good idea of how the logo matches the site.

We feel the money aspect (as used in Julie's design) is on the right track and would like to see other examples of realistic cash used in the logo. This really matches the feel of our site (it may be helpful for designers to browse through the pages of our site a bit). If you have ideas other than this, however, please feel free to experiment with them.

Also - we will be increasing the dollar amount of this contest to $200 as soon as an Admin replies telling me how to do so :)

Thank you for your submissions!

The contest has been increased to $200 - just waiting for an Admin to modify the project title.

Also - I have setup a dummy account so you can all view the Member's Section pages. I think browsing through all of the pages of the site (pay special attention to the How It Works and Offers pages) will help give you some ideas.

I also wanted to clarify - by no means does the logo NEED to include a "money" aspect - it's just an idea that drew our attention. I just don't want everyone thinking it's a requirement - we are just as likely to pick a "from-scratch" logo if we fall in love with it!

Thanks everyone, looking forward to seeing more submissions. If you need anything, please ask!

Designers, the amount offered is now $200 and the thread title has been edited.

Good luck! :)

We really like what you're on to. We like the text and font a lot. We're not sure about having all lower-case letters - can you experiment with a capital "I" and capital "D"? Also - the text seems a bit skinny (the logo doesn't use up the entire space) - can you stretch that out to fit better?

While we really like the text and concept, none of the logo images are really doing it for us. The first seems vague, and to be honest kind of looks like peanuts. :) The third is a good concept but seems to give an "iron fist" image that doesn't really match the site. We like how you worked the "dot" on the "i" with the second image, but not sure it's enough.

If my feedback is too vague, let me know and I'll try to explain better. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for your submission!

Just a note to the Admin - we would like to set the deadline of this project as Friday, September 3. If this is either too much or too little time, please let me know!

There hasn't seemed to be very many submissions for this project. If this is due to designers not having enough information from me, please let me know whatever you need and I will do my best to get you everything you need. We're excited to see all of your talented work!

We like the person icon, especially the one with the outlined bill in red (as it goes along with our navigation). However, we feel the text is an eyesore, both the font and colors - it looks a lot like what's there now, which we don't like, and thus this contest :) We'd love to see you play around with this idea further!

Thanks for posting these revisions - that gives us a better idea. We really like the yellow/gold icon but this may resemble AOL's icon a bit too closely. If you have any other ideas, we'd love to see them!

Your submission looks good, but we're really trying to stay away from the email "envelope" concept. If we choose your design, we'd definitely want to see some color/font variations.

Thank you for your submissions!

Because the contest is nearing completion, we are posting the current Top logos and what we like/dislike about them to hopefully help everyone see what we're after.

The text (font, size, colors, etc) look great - we really like that. We're not entirely sure about the symbol. The "bill" concept is good and we like that, but feel something more realistic could be better. We'd love to see this text with alternate symbols used.

We like the idea of the symbol (person holding bill) but aren't sure any of the exact symbols you used are right. We like #3 on the second image the best. However, we do not like the text on any of them. Most of the text on #2 appears too "cartoony" - while the logo doesn't necessarily have to be extremely professional, it should not be cartoony either.

Thank you all for your submissions and we're anxious to see new ideas these comments generate in the coming days. If any of you have any questions, please ask!

Here's a couple of variations with more realistic money. :)

The font on the bottom image is closest to what we're looking for, but not sure that's quite right. Also not sure about having 3 different colors in the text - it's difficult to see how that will look without the logo placed "in our site" as mentioned previously in this thread.

I think the "bag of money" symbol is creative, but doesn't give a good impression to potential members. I.e., if you were thinking of joining and saw a bag of money, you might think "there's no way I can make THAT much money", and thus the symbol loses value. Perhaps that's a bit over-analyzed, but that's a first impression.

Mark

We really like these modifications, especially the tri-bill symbol. I understand why the swoosh image is present, but we feel the logo might look better without it. Can you remove it and center everything and post what that would look like?

Also want to stress that we are by no means closing the contest to just the logos submitted by the designers mentioned - those are just the ones we like best. Anyone is still free to post!

Thank you for your submissions!

And the winner is...Mark

Thank you all very much for your submissions!

REVISIONS:

Change the "$1" to "$20"

Could you also post a sample with the following revisions (all experimental):

Flip dollar symbols horizontally with lower side towards the text

Put the dollar symbols on top of the text

If we could have everything finalized by the end of the week, that would be perfect. Thanks a ton Mark!

Hi Daren, you can download all of your requested file types and then some HERE (http://www.logodesign.ca/inboxdollars.zip)

If you need another format, please don't hesitate to ask. It has been a pleasure designing your logo. :D
