Hello everyone,

This is my first post so please be patient. I have started my own landscape architecture firm and I am looking for creative, artistic, and professional logo that I can use on my business cards and letterhead.

My company name is LandArt Designs. I am looking for something very contemporary and elegant. I focus on design rather than landscape instillation. Most of my clients are upscale residential owners and I do a fair bit of sub-contracting to architecture and engineering firms. I am a start-up company and I recently graduated from university with a B.L.A.

I would like a colour and black and white version if possible. Please email me or post any questions you might have.

I would prefer if the concept did not solely revolve around planting material and trees. I really like the colours used by telus mobility and fido.

Kind regards,
jjl

FYI: Designers are not permitted to contact you outside of this thread.

Having said that:)

Do you have a deadline in mind?

Thanks for the entry. I really like the simplicity of it. Not that fond of the colour scheme. I would like LandArt to be a bit bigger than Designs.

THanks for the feedback!

Now it's my turn.

Do you have any favorite colors?
I will try a scheme similar the companies suggested as well.

Where is LandArt Designs located?

:)

LandArt is located in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.

I like vibrant colours such as orange, blue, red, pink, etc. I also like black and beige.

I've got to be honest, I tried doing my own logo for the longest time and I could not for the life of me come up with anything. I am really open to anything. I like abstract symbols.

Compay background:

My company primarily focuses on landscape design, but I am starting to do alot of autocad and site surveys for large architecture and engineering firms. Eventually I plan to incorporate an instillation division, but this will be a small fraction of my services.

I focus on environmental design concepts and xeriscaping, and pondscaping.

The logo will be used on all my letterhead, business cards, company website, car magnet, and lawn signs.

I like the idea of incorporating LA into the logo. I want people to be able to differentiate me as a landscape architect as opposed to a landscape contractor or garden designer.

Hope this info helps.

Regards,

Janey

Hi Taldo,

I really liked that you incorporated architectural symbols. Not sure about the circles or the dark colors. Can you try a less muted shade? I do like the font selection.

Hi Tonya,

I like the way the Landart sits beside the symbol. I am not keen on symbol you've chosen. Perhaps something more abstract with it coming outside the edges of the square. Not sure how to explain it. I like the font and the way it sticks out.

Hi Tonya,

I really like this concept. I like how it would look when I use it in black and white. Can you play around with a different colour scheme. I like the blue and green , but not the grey. I like this font, however I would like to see something a little more curvy just out of curiosity. Please continue with this concept.

Janey

Sorry everyone, my internet connection was down for the past day. That being said it is only fair to extend the deadline until Sept 3rd.

Hi Taldo, Radicalseed, and Tonya. So far these are the three concepts that I like the best and that are fitting into the look I am going for.

Artemii, Paula, Mark, and Bogglins. I have to admit I like your concepts, but they don't quite match the look I am going for.

I know I haven't given you much direction as of yet. So far I've been keeping an open mind. I looked aroung the portfolio section and found something that I really like. Can someone please advise me if I am allowed to attach it to a message if it is from another designer?

Regards,

Janey

Hi Tonya,

I found a logo of yours that i really liked, and wanted to know if you could develop something similar to this one?

Hi everyone,

I've narrowed it down to 2 logos.

Taldo
I really like your last design however, I am debating how to use this logo on a business card. In your opinion, do you think the company would be noticeable? Can you play around with the font size and colour. Can you also provide a black and white version.

Tonya

I like LandArt #2 the best. Can you change the font colour on Designs and make it smaller.

Thank you everyone for your effort. I've had to narrow it down to 2 in order to make a decision by the end of the day.

Kind regards

Janey

Hi Tonya,

I've decided to go with your last logo. Thank you everyone for your hard work.

Tonya, I will be away for the weekend. When I come back I would like to see a few minor changes which we can discuss then.

Kind regards,

Hi Janey

Thanks for selecting my design. I was away for the weekend too and just saw that you'd chosen it. As soon as you're ready, just let me know what you'd like done and I'll get to work on revising it.

Hi Tonya,

Sorry about the delay.

I love the look of this design, but like to see what the concept would look like with a script font and the the company name in lower case with the L and the A in upper case. The symbol, and the colours are perfect.

Hi Janey

Here are some different fonts. Let me know if you see anything you like. If not (and you're not satisfied with the original font I'd used), I can try some others.

Hi Tonya,

After review the design with a couple of friends, I have selected the second logo on the Landart#6. Can you please provide me with a black and white version as well. Would it also be possible to obtain a gif, jpeg, and tiff file version?

I am not sure what is the next procedure. Can anyone advise me.

Thanks for your hard work and creative abilities. The logo is perfect and reflects the exact image I am looking for. Please let me know what your fees would be to design business cards, and company letterhead.

Kind regards,

Janey

Hi Janey

The files are ready. I just sent you a Private Message with the download link and info on print work. Once you've downloaded the files, just come back and post here that you got them so this project can be closed out and moved to the Archives.

Thanks :)
