Information:
This is a niche dating site for the University of Georgia, one of the biggest and most prominent universities in the Southeast. (Please, no confederate flags :D).

Their mascot is the English Bulldog:

This logo needs to be kind of cute, as in any dating community, it needs to mostly appeal to women. Make the gender ratio 70% female and 30% male. It definitely needs to stand out and be dynamic.

We had the idea of something with a male bulldog wearing a tux and a female bulldog wearing a vail.

We, however, are extremely open to ALL ideas as the above logo would be kind of difficult and might end up being too busy. Whatever would fit the organization, site, and target audience.

Pursuant to copyright laws, we cannot overtly use the UGA "G":

Really try and have fun with this logo because it needs to be fun.

VERY IMPORTANT: It should be graphically suited for PRINT and SCREEN production.

We will offer constant feedback to all participants very often and ASAP... and will always gladly answer ANY questions or concerns from participants. Please get submissions in as soon as possible, so we can start working together!

Deliverables:
Upon final selection, we would like to have the final deliverable sent in the follow ways:

Source file in Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop PSD format format.

Each of the below at screen/web AND high resolution print resolutions:

GIF with Alpha layer (RGB and CMYK)
JPEG (RGB and CMYK)
BMP (RGB and CMYK)

LOL... guys this stuff is great... unfortunatel they might just bee too busy. Thats why I think our idea of the male and female bulldog might just be sensory overload, so please offer up any other ideas and concepts you might have.

"Emergency Surgery", sounds so... not nice.

I'd like to offer another logo idea. Not bulldogs, but stylized dogs created from the "D"s used for "DawgDate". The dogs can be used stand-alone, as they represent the site's initials: D.D. or in conjunction with the text.

I will extend the deadling a couple days given the lack of feedback. I had a scheduled meeting with my colleague yesterday that feel through... I will be meeting with him today to discuss the logos, then post feedback accordingly

Just to update you:

I like the more vector/graphical logos, while another really like the more photorealistic bulldog logo.

Splunking - could you work on the above logo a little bit... making it slightly clearer and details? Also, if you dont mind, could you play with some variations on the O that surrounds the head, making it a G... just kind of play with any ideas you might have. Is anyone specifically interested in other feedback regarding their entry? Due to my lack of feedback, I will open up this contest for a day or two to all interested parties based on the above decision on a more detailed and realistic bulldog representation. I am usually very good about feedback... and apologize to all designers for my lack of it during this one.

You all's work is always so incredible to me.

I will be posting a quick and dirty header contest for dawgdate within the next couple of days.

Splunking - The one we liked was of just the one "male" bulldog.

Could you add more detail to the bulldog face so it looks better on the printed page? Also... could you give a couple different options for the Font... i dont likat one so much. I really like the one crea8or used on a couple of his submissions... but I understand you cant use that one. I kinda like the feel of it though.
