Just to give you a heads up - since your deadline is so far away (late june/early july) you probably won't get too many entries very soon. Don't give up hope. They will come!

Hey,

FTIGraphix

Looks Good :) Im not convinced about the Monitor though, I kinda like the Swoosh thing though! I'd also like to see a few different variations in the font if possible.. I like the way the Slogan has been worked in as well - But I`d prefer to see samples without the Slogan, as I think Slogans are a bit of a 'Cliche'.. Oh & I like the colour, Everytime I try & do somthing I end up using Blue

JulieT

hi, I think thats too Bold & Modern for me sorry. I think it would look good on top of a Webpage, But Im not to sure it would carry well onto Vehicles.... Can you try somthing else? Approach from a different Angle...

Julie
05-10-2003, 04:30 PM
Ok--here's another try. Since you'd like this for so many different uses, I used some very simple symbols--and a style very easily reproducible in print. I also worked with the blues you like so much. Again, feedback is welcome!

Hi, Both looking good.

Im not really looking for any Fancy Graphics, Id prefer the emphasis to be on the Actual Company Name....

Feel free to Drop the Limited if needed and just work on PC Workshop (the Word 'The' isnt to important either..)

My feeling about logo`s is people remember the Logo, but not always the Company, as Im only a 1 man band, I need the
Name to be remembered......

I like elkootch Greenquest Logo in that competition.... and other people`s that look similair... Basically I like things that have Impact :D

Scrap it. I like somthing thats Vibrant & Stands out. Colours Im pretty open to as I like a large selection of colours & some colours work better with different designs.

Hi,

Im not fussed on the Top one.. The red square reminds me of the 'As seen on TV' Logo

I do like the 2nd one, can we see it in different colours? Possibly a Blue Version, Bluey Green, etc.

I also like the 3rd one, Unfortunately the Shadowing/Gradients would cause a Problem in Print :(

Palmer, they are JPEGs, I had to save that particualr file as a medium, for some reason it wouldn't allow me to save higher. I will recreate the file again and see if it allows me to save as a high jpeg. On my other computer they didn't look to muddy, but now I really see the difference...

He said he wanted swooshes. Even after my first one (the first entry of the contest)....which had the similiar swooshing motion just with an arrow.

I hope you don't think I'm infringing. I didn't take any part of your logo into consideration when desinging that, just the guys suggestions, and what I felt looked good.

I personally think they look nothing alike, from feel-to colors, etc.

Its just a little too close to the mark, feel free to keep it though. What made me notice more was the fact you originally quoted what the contest holder said about my design before adding your own spin to it.

We are in the design "team" so if it helps the site you can do what you wish. :)

No I didn't J-design? I originally quoted what he said about my design. I changed it though after it seemed someone edited the emotion (palmer I suppose) I had from the banging on the brick wall to a smiley face. Because someone edited it, I thought it would be best to just get rid of the quote.

You must have misread it.

Sorry about all this anyway....

FTIGraphix
05-15-2003, 12:11 PM
:lol2: I was having second thoughts of posting that, because I thought it might be taken wrong. No actually I put that emotion because he didn't really like my last few entries or show, and I used the emotion to show how I was punishing myself for not coming up with something he liked.

Anyways, he didn't like my new entry either :bash: , so I'll come up with some new ideas, and try to stear clear from anyone elses design ;)

Again sorry J-Design. I'll pay more attention before coming up with something.

<edit>by the way Palmer, when you edited the post, you should have kept the 'edit' text at the bottom so I could have known it was you. I thought I was going crazy or something, the way the emotions just changed like that  </edit>

Hi there, here are some more variations. If you go to this website and see an orange you like, I can match it! And if you see any other color you like, it can be switched out--Like if you see a better blue, if you found a blue on that list it would work out better, b/c then I can give you a vector image.

Jackie, you'll need to work this out by email. You can send him the files in various formats including the layered file if he wants to change the colors in the future.

PCWShop, there's a certain skill and software needed for changing the colors to make it look right. If you give Jackie some specific colors she can do it for you. Feel free to work it out though email and let me know if there are any problems.

Thanks,
Palmer
