Hi, (Admin code added by Palmer - M735761A)

My name is Todd and I am looking for a logo for my company. I have been watching this site for a few weeks now and have liked what I have seen so I thought I would jump on the bandwagon.

The name of the company is GreenQuest Professional Lawn Care. I am looking for a logo for truck lettering, shirts, paper items (business cards, letterhead, etc.) Not sure what formats. Also two colors would be preferred but three would be ok as well.

We are a very small company focusing mainly on mowing, and fertilizing.

I want it to be kept simple, I like sharp clean lines, cartoons are out. It does not necessarily have to have anything pertaining to lawn care. What I mean by that is it does not HAVE to have grass, trees, etc, although I will consider all examples.

I do not like the logos in a box or circle, I know a lot of guys do not like swooshes but if they are done correctly I do not have a problem with them.

I will also post a picture of what I currently have on my trucks, I am hoping to keep the same feel because I do like the look, it just needs something. The font does not have to be the same; the address does not need to be in the logo as that is only on the trucks (a law for pesticide applicators) however the web address could be. (greenquest.net) The main thing is the emphasis on the GreenQuest, with Professional Lawn Care being smaller. I will also no longer be an LLC so you can leave that out. Also you can see on the truck all letters are caps, that is ok but the correct way is with a capital G and Q (GreenQuest).

Oh and the trucks are black, so as you can see I have a shadow to make the green stand out. My shirts are light grey so something that would work on both would be nice.

I will set a three-week deadline so we will say the 27th of May

Bring em on!!!!

This is one of the logos that grabbed me, I like the simple design and the clean professional graphics. I will look some more to see if I can get some more logos I liked.

yea I figured that, I just liked how clean and simple the look was. I do not want the logo to be too busy.

Thanks

Victoria,

The first logo I alright, I do not care for the straight line under GreenQuest. I know I said simple but I feel it may be just a bit TOO simple, but hey thanks for being first! :)

Chelle,

You have something there, I would like to see some variations, IE: some shadowing of the GreenQuest, also I would like to see one more line under the name, so it would be light line, dark line, light line. I like the fonts so dont change them. Also lets try the light green as white to change to two colors and see how that looks.

A few other variations, on the first one using the light green as the shading on the text, as well as your lighter lines. B)

The image behind the "G" is meant to represent a shield (the QUEST part of GreenQuest). Hope you like it :)

Chelle,
I guess I like the first one best of all so far. I am not sure anything can be done to improve on it so I will ponder it for a while and let you know. In the meantime if you have any other ideas to throw out feel free.

CarolinaMan,
Sorry but your design does not do much for me. I am looking to get away from just the lettering, I have the basic lettering now, I am looking to add SOME sort of design to the logo.

Sparkie,
Sorry But your design is not really what I am looking for, if you have any other thoughts please post them.

Thats kind of cool, j-design.

Can you darken up the green and add the Professional Lawn Care in it as well.

Elkootcho,
I like #2 but can you change the leaf to look more realistic. The shadow effect is nice so keep that.

j-design,
It still needs something, if you can think of anything go ahead and give it a shot, maybe two colors. I am not sure. :)

ondarox,
Not really fond of it, sorry.

I had said that the logo does not HAVE to have grass or trees, ETC but it could. I am not set on anything yet so even if you guys (and gals) want to throw logos with trees, grass, whatever would be great.

I had a thought of maybe a strip of longer grass under the GreenQuest with it being short (like cut by the letters of GreenQuest) with small blades of grass shooting around.......

I may be crazy.........

Anyway great start I hope to see lots more.

Similar yes, the same, I don't think so. Look at the tail in the "Q". Her's comes to a point while mine squares at the end. Look how far the tail extends to the right compared to hers. In my "Q" the descender also leaves the main body more to the right than hers. Look at the bowl on the "e" her's is more rounded than mine.

But if it's that big of a problem than I'll be happy to change it.

Chelle,
I had the boss (my wife) ;) look at your logos, she suggested keeping the first one the way it is but adding a white shadow to the Green Quest to see what that looks like.

j-design,
The second logo with the darker green and the Professional Lawn care added is getting better, Could you change the GREENQUEST to GreenQuest. Can you also put it on a black background so I can see what it would look like on black.

ondarox,
The boss said your first design (with the spining thing) may have potential, the font is no good, and the Name needs to be Cap G & Q (GreenQuest). Also can you shrink the graphic and try rearranging it a bit. Maybe some different variations.

Elkootcho,
# 3 looks good, not to be a bother but could we try some more leaves (#3 is alot better than #2) Also can we try to reposition the leaf in different areas.

j design,
In your most recent can you make the name GreenQuest (I seem to like the looks of that the most) and put it on a black background.

CarolinaMan,
I do not care for the font on GreenQuest much, can you play around with some different fonts. If possible can you keep the same basic design (of the different color G & Q) but drop the top graphic and make the bottom grass.

WOW again thanks guys and gals; I really like what I am seeing. I would still like to get some ideas with grass, trees, just to give some more choices.

I can see it will be VERY hard to decide.

Ondarox,
I will have my wife (The boss) look at your most recent, it does not do much for me but she may have an idea like in your first design.

j-design,
I like them better now that they are on a black background, although they still need something, maybe more color, I am not sure, see what you and your creative mind can think up.

Ondarox,
I like that better with the graphic smaller, but I am not fond of the font on the "Green" The "Quest". and "professional Lawn Care" I like. The most recent logo, could you outline the green parts with a silver color, I had a friend see it and thought it could be outlined with silver and give it the appearence of "popping out"

Victoria,
Sorry but I don't think I like the butterfly.

Well one week to go, anyone else want to take a stab at it???? At this point we are open to anything, I have changed from not wanting lawn care related to liking the designs that do as well as some of the others. I will check each night to keep things going this last week.

Ondarox,
Could you also change the font for the "green" in this most recent logo, (with the grass)

Carolinaman,
The first one is nice but I do not like the box, could you take that part out and stick the rest on black?

Thanks

Sorry but its late ......I like the line under the GreenQuest and the layout of the Professional lawn care. Keep the layout with the line, only green I guess (the line that is), just no outline.

Thanks.

ElKootcho,
Thanks alot, they all look good. They are definately in the finals... ;)

ondarox,
Hey thanks, I want to tweak the design some more cause it has caught my eye BIG TIME.

First I would like a few examples with different fonts for the green, The one you switched to is better but still not what I am looking for. I will be looking through my graphics catalog to see if I can be of any help. I would like to shorten the grass just a bit (just chop off a little of the bottom) Also lets try green or white for the "Professional lawn Care" I like the third color but for such a small part I think two colors may be better.

Other than that I do like the layout. :D

I would like to thank all those who submitted designs. This was a great experience and I will definitely recommend this site to all the people I know on the lawn care forums.

This was also very hard to pick a winner, there was quite a few great designs, I spent many hours (all weekend actually) trying to decide.

And the winner is................................................ ...Ondarox!!!!!!!!

The design is the last one he submitted, I just have a few tweaks and I think it will be perfect!

No actually Jeff from Stonehenge visits some other forums that I am a member of. (not sure if I can name them since the sponcer of this forum is a Lawn care forum), conflict of interest maybe?? I don't know....anyway. I was searching for logo designs (thought of doing my own  ) when I saw his post to check out DesignOutpost. I hung around for a few weeks checking things out and just could not resist.

So I guess I was still referred by Jeff ;)

Info on this site is circulating at a few forums now and I posted a link for opinions to my design contest. Almost 100% picked the winning design...I guess I can not argue with a jury of my peers..... :D

From this site I saw Ground Trades Xchange...so I may have to check it out some more.
