View Full Version : Organic Lawn and Landscape Company *Project Complete*
(Admin code added by Palmer - 0UL937451X)
Hi, this is my first time using designoutpost so please excuse me if I'm a bit of a newbie on the process!! I am starting a lawn and landscape company in BC, Canada that is focused on providing maintenance services using pollution free (no gas powered tools) and natural products (organic, no pesticides). The company name is:
Healthy Planet Lawn & Landscape
Key brand themes are:
professionalism
quality
environmentally friendly
Not fixed on any colour scheme (no tree images though please) in particular but would like both colour and black and white images as the logo will be used in a variety of ways: letterhead, business card, uniforms, truck, website (which will be posted later for bids)
Please let me know if there is any other information I can provide. Hoping for a quick turnaround - ideally Oct 30.

Canada, the flow of nature and ECO friendly are some of the ideas i've tryed to capture :)
Hi, thanks for the great logos!
Eziey - like the look of the logo but not totally sure of the colours.
Fabian - really like the fonts and 'feel' of your design - only concerns are that 'eco friendly' is used by a national franchise and really means they try not to use "too many" pesticides. Like the maple leaf (particularly when it is on an olympic hockey jersey) :) but would love to see any other ideas you may have.
Before I saw your submissions this morning, I was able to find the samples that caught my attention earlier in the week (last number of postings especially). They were for Terra Care and are in the revisions forum. Really appreciate you taking the time to send in your ideas - any other information I can provide to spark additional concepts??
Cheers
Brian

Brian, thanks for your feedback i'll see what else i can come up with.....by the way we can simply remove the ECO tag if you would like.
Cheers
Fabian
Hi, you two are quick!! Appreciate it!!
Eziey, like the colour change - maybe with a bit more solid font... I really liked the last few creations you did for Terra Care so something along that line would be great!
Fabian, thanks for your response. Yes, removing the Eco piece would be great. I really like the font - maybe instead of a maple leaf something that captures planet without it being the standard globe???
Thanks again!

Hi Eziey, could you try the one with the butterfly in the circle in a different colour combination (not a huge fan of the blue/green). Also, you did one on another thread that had a sun instead of a butterfly - any chance of doing something like that to compare.
Thanks,
Brian

;)
Hi, thanks for the revisions!
Eziey - your Oct 24 6:48 am post - could you please adjust the top image to have no line, with "lawn & landscape" in the lower case script (used on the lower image) in the light green (same as the plant image). Could you please show this with the dark green butterfly, the butterfly done in orange, and in black and white.
Fabian - still like the font and the image is well done but the whole package doesn't have the sort of 'jump at you' look. Any other ideas?
Thanks again to both of you for your time and effort!

ok ;)
Hi, thanks for your time and effort on the great designs. At this point I am leaning towards Eziey's designs as I like the clean, professional look. Fabian, think the work you did is great just not quite what I was looking for. In case there is anyone working on something that hasn't been posted, the final deadline for submission is tomorrow at noon.
Cheers,
Brian

Brian,thanks for the feedback
Would something like this be more your style:)
I am sure glad I found this site!! Fabian and Eziey, thank you both for your creativity and time. I've decided to go with Eziey's last posting as it is the best fit for my upcoming business. Again, I really appreciate both of your efforts! :)
Eziey, once the thread is moved in to revisions will send you a note just to "play" with the fonts.
Cheers,
Brian

Thanks..Let's talk about the changes Brian...Please asvise :)
Hi Eziey, just hoping to see the exact set of three that you last provided (green butterfly, orange butterfly, b/w) in a slightly different font (possibly two different styles). Just wanted to run the choices past a few friends and family to get the "best" one and wrap it up. Would that be possible?
Thanks,
Brian

Few font choice:)
Thanks Eziey, will get back to you by Saturday at the latest to confirm and let you get on to your next great logo!
Brian
Hi Eziey, thanks for the choices - the consensus was the bottom one in the graphic you provided. Is it possible to get it as is, with a green butterfly, and in black and white? Please provide in whatever formats needed for using it in a variety of ways (letterhead, web, t-shirts, business cards, on vehicle, etc.) Oh, and could you give me the font styles and colours you used (would like to ensure some consistency in my web page design).
Thank you very much for being so attentive to my requests - I really appreciate the effort you made and the end product is fantastic. Please let me know if there is anything else I am supposed to do in the process.
Cheers,
Brian

Name of the fonts used: Zapf Humanist Ultra BT and AvantGarde Medium BT.
Hex color code: 339E36 (light green), 215B33 (dark green) and FA9B0D (yellow)..
Files provided are EPS (for commercial printing use) and JPG (for in house printing)...
Please notify below if you've received the file...Thanks:)
Hi Eziey,
Yes, received the files although I guess you need a particular program to open the one set you provided for professional printing? Sorry for asking so many questions, but have seen a number of requests from other clients on the site for the image in bitmap and vector format - any value in that???
Thanks,
Brian

JPG is a bitmap format while the EPS is a vector format....
EPS can be opened in program such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDraw , Paint Shop Pro....and etc...
The EPS is a resizeable format...(you can resize the logo to any size ou wish without loosing its quality....even to a billboard size)...If you provide the EPS file to designer or printing company to design your letterhead, business card, brochure, website...and etc, they will know what to do:)
Hope it is clear....:)
Thanks for the clarification :) As I said before, I really appreciate your efforts on this and look forward to recommending this site to anyone looking for design work. Let me know if there is anything else I'm to do for you to get your well deserved payment!
Cheers,
Brian
