Too Cheap??

I need a logo for a business that we are going to (hopefully) be getting started in Feb/Mar. I don't have alot of money now - we are going to be using a settlement from a car accident to get the business going. The trial is in Februay. My question is this: I don't want to offend anyone by offering $50 for a logo. I would like some input before I post the contest to make sure I won't offend anyone and to make sure that $50 was not too cheap.

I'm sorry to say but yes $50 is a little too low for our designers to design a logo for, the minimum required is $100.
