Hi :)
I was wondering if you had an idea on what will be included in the navigation? And, you said the scope was a 'new site', will you want an HTML home page as well as an interior page template, or will we be generating each page of the site? Thanks!
Here's an entry from me
Something simple

Hi Designers!
This is some important info from my client:
Vision Statement for the web site
"Our vision is to demystify art by connecting the public to inspirational, contemporary affordable art, enabling enjoyment whilst challenging feelings and intellect."
At this moment, the sections of the site are:
"Main"
"About Us"
"Our Artists"
"Photo Gallery"
"Art Jewellery"
"Contact Us"
For the "Photo Gallery" section, I think its special important to design a very user-friendly interface (a template some different of the "Main" template), the same for "Our Artist" section.
About Anne's template's, he said:
"I would like to see the top section with a stronger background colour (brighter) not white - with my logo with "espinosa" in a bright colour and "gallery" in black (or in white if on dark background) with the "E" emblem to match. Can she give some examples like this."
That's all for the moment,
it would be great to have new designers in this contest, your're still on time! :D
Good luck!
Demis
I have one more entry and I need the logo in transparent version. Because the flattened logo is jagged in darker background.
Thanks!

Dear Designers,
Today is the deadline, but we consider properly to make a Final with two designs:
1. Anne (unique design)
2. Luc (First Design)
Congrats for them both, and thanks to all other designers.
About Anne's design, we would like to see a renew design with the coments I sent some days ago.
And about Luc's, first concept, here are de comments from my client (some of them are useful for Anne too):
1. Remove blue rectangular background shape at top right of screen - just leave empty.
2. Include new vision statement attached on front of brochure attachments.
3. Like the idea of photo of painting at top left - but selection of more contemporary or abstract for this home page (more photos to choose from attached)
4. Change "Main" link to read as "Home"
5. Logo - change the colour of main logo image to black with contrast bright colour cross stroke of the "G" - example attached, corresponding colour change to "espinosa gallery" part of logo (as in attached example brochures)
6. Keep the "copyright" word
7. Change bottom left where currently 2 painting images with text - to now be just one larager image painting with brief text.
8. For the home page in total I would like to see one Gallo painting image and one Allende painting image for main shots but background can be from any of the artists.
9. The "Contact us" details are on the back of the attached brochures.
I am ataching the mentioned brochures ind .PDF format and many new photos of 2 Artist.
Deadline for this Final period: 3rd March.
Good luck for both designers! :P
Demis
PD: about atachs: The´re 2 that are PDF. The first 9 images are from GALLO Artist, and the next (6 lasts) are from ALLENDE.
Thank you for the feedback. I'll make the requested revision

Hello Designers,
Now, some new and useful files.
I am ataching some photos of Art Jewerly.
We would like to have a preview of this Art Jewerly Page, like a Gallery.
As I mentioned before, we need 2 templates, for different proposes, one for the Home Page and other one for the other pages with content (into that type of template is this Art Jewerly included).
Demis
Here are my revision. I also changed the font. I think this is more artistic. Do you think this is better? But it's a commercial font.

Hi everybody!
Here some new coments for both designs:
For Anne's design:
Change orange colour on top banner - don't like the colour combination on top banner combined with the logo colours used
Make link icons for "home" "about us" etc. bolder
Ensure at least 2 paintings are visible when the user first opens the home page ie. toward the top of the page - use a different combination of paintings - all those selected are common to each other with abstract look - we want to show we have a variety of styles and colours.
Text colour on home page too pale
Remove logo icon in between the paragraphs
And for Luc's design:
remove the vertical blue bar on top left of screen to just have the painting. (Like the existing painting).
Replace the "welcome to espinosa gallery" piece with the Vision statement on the bottom right of screen. Make the vision statement text larger.
For all the fonts use a modern clean font such as that in the logo "espinosa gallery" or in the brochure provided.
Replace the 2 photos on top right (gallo and allende) with just the one (same) gallo (ronda #2) and make it much larger/impressive and a little brighter.
Superimpose the Allende and Gallo signatures (attached) same as in previously sent brochures.
please change spelling of "jewelry" to "jewellry" (Australian English) and correct "main" on bottom of page to match "home".
And this is the "About Us", text. You can use it for a preliminary of that page.
"Our aim is to unearth emerging and established artists mainly from the Americas and Australia. We travel, meet and research our artists. We get to know them, understand their works, their motivation and their talent. Most of our artists are exclusively represented by us in Australia and other parts of the world. We deliver high quality art at an affordable price. We are not an investment art gallery. If art appreciates in value that is a bonus but should not distract the buyer from buying from the heart.
Espinosa Gallery provides an exceptional mobile viewing and consultation service in the Sydney metropolitan area, or in areas where we are currently exhibiting. We will bring your selected paintings to your home or office to enable you to see the pieces in situ, before you purchase. We will even hang the artwork for you so you can relax and immediately enjoy your acquisition."
You can put this text in the"About us" page superimposed over some creative views of our painting(s) or other colourful background - very important that the text of the message is clear/easy to read.
Good luck for both!
PD: I am ataching the signatures from both artists in PDF, maybe you can use them.

Some news?
demis57, sorry for the delay. I was not receiving email notifications until today. I will get you these changes later.
Can you tell me the logo font?
I didn't quite understand what you mean hereReplace the 2 photos on top right (gallo and allende) with just the one (same) gallo (ronda #2)

About the logo font:
It is the font of the "Horatio" Family: http://www.linotype.com/89220/horatio-family.html
It is the medium one, manualy "bolded" with a fine line as outline with the same color of the font.

Here some comments from my client:
correct spelling in centre menu of "art jewellry" to "art jewellery"
in Vision Statement - there are 2 errors with spaces missing - one between "inspirational, contemporary" and "enjoymentwhilst" (needs to be 2 separate words)
Change the Vision statement font and colour - no italics, bolder font (plain as the others are) and change colour of font to black (see if that looks better)
We are not happy with the combination of blue and orange as the main theme so if you can try the black font as in previous point, OR see what another colour on the bottom of screen where the orange is ? mauve, light purple or lighter green
the 2 artist links on the top right look good but could you move the signatures to be on the photos eg. running up the left side of each??
remove the photo of the Donaher painting on bottom left - and instead I was thinking of making the vision statement bigger and stand out more across that bottom colour. Also if it looks OK and there is still enough space, it is just better to put another artistic image eg. a photo of a tube of paint or something creative along those lines.
Thanks!

Dear Designers,
I am really worry, because my client is not satisfied with the templates. If you read the suggestions about colors made by him, you will understand her trouble.
That is the principal problem, the colors used on the templates.
Please, I would like you read again her coments, and do your best, so we can finish with this contest.
Thanks a lot
Demis
I'm not sure anymore what to change. I believe I have revised my entry according to your comments specially the colors you mentioned.

Brian,
Per the client a few posts previous,
Today is the deadline, but we consider properly to make a Final with two designs:
1. Anne (unique design)
2. Luc (First Design)
Congrats for them both, and thanks to all other designers.
... I think they are just trying to get the colors down for the final choice, and are not looking for anything new...
Demis, please correct me if I am mistaken on this.
Thanks!
I'll give another try for the colors.
