Hi designers!

I'm back with another project for you talented people.

A complete redesign of www.bomberg.com

The company - Bomberg & Co - manufactors a wide range of products mainly within EMC and related products. Apart from being distributor for a number of the market leaders within EMC components, Bomberg have a workshop and design center where modifications, stamping and other simple parts are made. This enables them to offer a complete package of EMC related products to clients.

Logos are attached in zip file.

We are open to all design suggestions, but please have in mind that this is a well established company within its field so the template must remain professional, exclusive and dynamic looking. Must include their logo in some way.

Deadline is currently set for November 30th 2004.

Prize is $250

Do you have any websites that appeals to you ? just to have an idea of your taste and what the company is looking for: something corporate, or more towards "technology", etc...

Hi Brian,

Thanks for entering.

I have asked my client about this but she has no real preferences. Most websites from EMC companies are quite messy and amateur like so I guess it doesn't take much to beat them. I think she likes open, light websites, not to much content, focus on the easy access to search among products etc.

Concerning colors you might want to try some wine red, royal blue or grey tones. Try to add some nice pictures. Electronics stuff.

I'll be out of town the next 2 days, but I'll be back late sunday to see if there are questions or drafts ready.

Thanks for your entry Brian. I will present it to my client first thing in the morning. Specific comments below.

Brian: At first glance I think it looks very nice and clean. I don't like the "print page" button though. Looks like a quick cut n' paste from another site and it has a different background color ;) I know that is a small detail and you are still working on the big picture here. I really love the way you have incorporated the logo into the menu and top section and using the small triangle in both top and bottom. Well done!

To Others: I would love to see another entry using bordeaux and light grey colors as this might appeal to my client as well. If you could play around with the idea of the visitor having a quick way to search among products that would be great. Perhaps placed on the right hand side?

There is still plenty of time before deadline....

Glad you like the logo incorporation. I didnt copy/paste the "print button" page, it was volonteer, I thought putting a gry background would make the print button stand out a bit more. Will change that then...

Want me to try it with bordeaux and light grey colors ?

Yes, please do so.

You can keep your overall design and then change the color in the top, bottom and pictures.

Hello designers!

I just got off the phone with my client and she has provided me with feedback on your entries. In general she was exstremely pleased with the quality of all the entries.

Instead of asking you to make several revisions and perhaps waste your time and hers, I asked her promptly, what entry she likes the most as of right now and suggested to her, that we continued with that one.

It was Anne's.

So, the following feedback only apply to Anne. Please provide a revised draft for me and my client based on the following points:

1) The name in the logo is wrong. The company is called "Bomberg & Co" and not "Bomberg EMC Products". There might be a wrong logo in the download package that could have caused this error. I apologize.

2) Make the 2 small pyramids in the logo the same bordeaux color as the background color. The text below Bomberg should also be in bordeaux.

3) Keep the picture. She loves it!

4) Replace the bottom menu with copyright notice and contact information.

5) In the left hand side, make room for 3 sections instead. Product Search in the top, Product Categories in the middle (Just a drop down menu) and a Newsletter section in the bottom.

6) Remove Latest News.

When I have received your revision I'll ask her if more needs to be changed.

Speaking of the Sun...

Here are her final comments:

1) She wants a bit of moving around on the bottom section. Remove everything and place a centered copyright notice with thier name and email.

2) Place their contact info beneath the newsletter box.

3) Place two flags to indicate language versions. Danish and English. I'm sure you know the flag :P

Move the bottom area upwards so that no space is left between the area with contact info and the bottom section.

That's it.

When you are done you can send me the files as html. I can edit them myself if she want other changes.

Remember to include some blank menus and font info so that I may create the Danish menu myself.
