Dear Designer:

I'm starting a new RESALE real estate office in the far Northwest suburbs of Chicago. The office will specialize solely on one community. The logos will be for Huntley Realty - Full service real estate office. We will offer listing agents, buyers agents, community specialists, etc.

I would like the logo to incorporate our corporate colors but I havn't determined what is the best EYE catching colors because I will use this for our yard signs, advertisements, billboards, office sign and our business signs. My original thought was to incorporate a blue background with yellow letters and a red border. I will leave this up to you because I don't have the expertise in the best color designs. I want something that looks professional and one that will make people think we aren't just a small time operation. We are going head to head with the Century 21's, RE/Max, Prudential, Baird & Warners & Coldwell banker real estate offices.

Our focus will be on an active adult community in the NW suburbs, Del Webb Sun City Huntley. You may get some inspiration by going to www.delwebb.com? We will expand from their but I would like to see the lettering similiar to Del Webb's.

I cannot stress how important this logo is because it will be the benchmark and our beacon that we will use on our free moving truck, store signage, cards, website, etc.

Huntley, Il is our target market. It's a rural town that is going to triple in size over the next 6 years. We want to capture as much of the market as possible by being 100 % polished with all of our logos, etc.

Please keep in mind that these are only guidelines and I'm looking for the best results. I would like our website address to be incorporated in the logo. It will be either myhuntleyrealty.com or move2huntley.com. Also, We will offer mortage and title services on site for our customers. I hope this information proves beneficial in creating the logo.

It looks great for a start! I don't believe the yellow is coming accross as professional or strong as I thought. Also, I believe the ranch home and tree will be great for another logo that I need to create for the Tom Hall group. I will open a seperate posting for that one this weekend. Please try another font and color for the lettering. Also, We may need to create a border for the logo to offset the red, black and blue. I will leave that color up to you.

Please try this design with a sunset and with a compass guide in lieu of the home. I would like to see what it looks like without the home. I want the logo to stand out above the local competitors but not look cheap or small town.

Your latest design is excellent! It looks great but I'm curious to see what it would look like with the same lettering, sunset minus the house or incorporating a Huntley with a roof on it like Ezley's Huntley. I like the way the sunrise is coming over the back of the house. Your sunrise is far superior!

We are coming close the finish line and I appreciate your time and effort. I like your latest design and Ezley's Top design on his latest thread. Please let me know if you can modify yours to incorporate the Huntley with a roof and move the tree to the right hand side.

Your top design out of the three you submitted is the best! Please send over that design with the sun and without it. Also, Please see what you can do about filling in the sun around the chimney. Finally, I would like to see what it looks like with a Red border around the white background. We may still have to fine tune the color selections but it's looking very good.

A different approach...

The design is good but it's not jumping out at me. It reminds me of a construction contractors logo locally. I need the sign to be professional and warm so I can compete with the national real estated companies like RE/MAX, Coldwell Banker, Prudential, etc.

I like Ezley & Samayloff's designs the best so far. They just need some fine tuning to be perfect. Thank you for sharing your design and I hope you will re-submit a different design.

I appreciate your efforts to think out of the box but the sign looks too country for my taste. I did make me wonder how it would like with the sun in the middle of the sign in lieu of the "HR" monarcher. Also, the font is too country. I would change it and use different colors.

Your design is by far superior to the others in color and graphics. The biggest challenge I'm having with your design is to clean it up to make the REALTY more visisble and the website address. The last two you have submitted are AMAZING! I loved the first one you did with the tree, sunrise and the house. Again, My only concern was how do you grab a potential customers attention fast enough and they can actually read the sign.

The following are my final thoughts and then I will award the designer:

1. If you were to change the website address to Red and White out the letters I believe it will solve my concern with both layouts because it will make the website standout. The red will tie into the bottom orange red you have on the sunset.

2. The REALTY isn't standing out in both logo presentations. Please change the REALTY to the same color as HUNTLEY and put a line between HUNTLEY & REALTY.

3. The design with the roofline into the sun should have HUNTLEY be enlarged to follow the roofline to make HUNTLEY stand out more.

4. Please make the following changes to both designs and resubmit them. I will make my final choice after everyone has had the opportunity to resubmit.

Your latest design was great but I'm having trouble with the Illinois in the design and the configuration of the sun. I like the lettering and the color blue. Also, Thank you for putting your design on a yard sign. I believe this helped out tremendously!

The following are my recommendations to make the logo more appealing:

1. I would delete the Illinois logo but keep the Star to input either above a letter. I believe the Red star works well in grabbing customers attention.

2. I would use a different Sun. The sun should be in the background but looking vibrant. The current version looks too cartoonish.

3. I love the lettering and the color blue. I believe the pre-dominant colors are Blue, Red & Yellow with or without a coordinating border.

The thing I love about your design and still do is the simplicity of it. It's very identifiable by a prospective buyer but grabs their attention. I loved three of your designs from your last thread. I'm requesting that you make the following modifications so I can make my final decision. They are as follows:

1. Design # 1(Top Design of last thread) - Please bold out www.myhuntleyrealty.com with red and white just like Design # 5.

2. Design # 3 from last thread - Pleas bold out www.myhuntleyrealty.com with red and white just like design # 5.

3. Design # 5 - I would like to see this in a larger version and I would like to see it with a blue border versus a red border.

I liked the top design or first design of all the designs you submitted on your last thread. I would like to make the following revisions:

1. Please change www.myhuntleyrealty.com to www.huntley-realty.com

2. Also, I would like to see what www.huntley-realty looks like in blue instead of white letters.

3. The office will be a full service office offering mortgage and title services. I would like to see what the logo looks like with Huntley Mortgage in lieu of Huntley Realty and Huntley Title in lieu of Huntley realty. Each would have their own website as well www.huntleymortgage.com & www.huntleytitle.com

4. Please put the new design with the blue letters next to the design with the white letters so I can determine quickly if this would be a bad idea.

5. I really liked the boxed out red line for the logo but it felt like it was too narrow. I would like to have that design when we are finalized to see what it looks like on a yard sign.
