My name is toni allen. big suprize!
My italian "wanna be godfather" grandpa...decided that my name was gonna be Tony no matter what...When I came out with two x chromosomes, my parents comprimised with him...and hence "toni". He still calls me "anthony" prononced "an-Ten-nee" in a really horribly fake italian accent.
Right now, I live in BC canada...which seems to be a popular place to live ;)
Naramation seems to follow me where ever I go...even though Ive told him Im married and pregnant.
I tried my shot a being a magazine cartoonist...but never managed to get anything published in the big magazines...so I figured graphic design might get my foot in the door.
Then after realizing how much better the pay is for graphic design...i've decided to forget about cartooning and stick with graphics.
The thing I love most about being in design...is being published in print. Web is cool...but when I get a peice published that I can hold in my hand...I feel all accomplished and stuff. :)
I really haven't entered too many design contests...only one actually.
But, when Im not busy...and something strikes me as interesting...then Im all for it.
Looking forward to meeting other designers on this forum.
Take care,
Toni
