Hi. I am wanting a logo for the following business:
Your Lifetime Vacations
My website is YourLifetimeVacations.com
My motto is Add Some Balance to Your Life
This is a vacation membership site that offers luxury vacations at prices roughly 70% lower than normal.
What I want to convey with my logo is that a vacation is a necessity for one's health. Vacations are a form of excapism- allowing us to de-stress and relax, perhaps even to renew our outlook on life. Where we can reflect on what means the most to us in out lives.
Medical research has shown that there is a definite correlation in the risk of heart disease and death between people who vacation and those who don't. There are other benefits as well but the heart risk is the most documented.
I hope this gives enought information for you all to get the feel of what I am hoping for.
Thanks you in advance.
Fran

The letter "i" represented as people with colors from all races may have fun and enjoy a lifetime of vacations............

Thanks Nathan. I love the idea of representing all people but I think the image looks too box-ee, ie: no motion.
Here's an ICON idea from MOZ

Wow! I'm liking this. Where would the wording go?
The text would go next to it, using the art as an icon. I'll work it up for you!

Here's something to convey a universal feeling of relaxation...using the "sign guy" in a lounge chair.

Thank you Nathan, Mark, Michael and Eziey for your submissions. This was my first time to use this service and has been enlightening. Although you all had different and interesting ideas for conveying what I wanted to convey, the design by Eizey was the one that talked to me more than the others. I like the way the colors contract on opposite sides showing blaance but also action and energy.
I have chosen the design done by Eziey. Thank you very much Eizey! Please send the file.

This time I did get the RES folder, last time I didn't. However, my computer must have a problem cuz now it says I can't open either file because it can't find gdiplus.ddl, whatever that is. I'll have to figure it out. Thanks again for sending them so quickly!

The way it should work is when you click the link eziey provided you will get a window that pops up asking you what to do. Choose save and save the .zip file to your hard drive, not your cdrom or floppy disk.
After you've done that, use Windows Explorer and locate that file on your computer wherever you saved it, and double click it. If all goes well you will unzip all the files that he has provided.
If that doesn't work it sounds like you may have a problem with your computer :(
