Great Central Turf is a small importer of manufactured parts from China. We are about to launch a new product line - offering a consumer gasoline powered generator to the general public through both our website and through distributors.

We are looking for a logo for the new brand name GenTec. The name and logo will be displayed on the control panel of the generator as well as on all sales literature. There will be small printing indicating “Distributed by Great Central Turf” although this should not be part of the logo.

We currently have no set colors or graphics ideas for this logo, so we will be starting from scratch and will provide feedback on all of your concepts.

I drew inspiration for this from what I believe the target audience wants: rugged, professional, and technical. The idea is also a "closed circuit," a subtle way of suggesting the power-generating nature of the product.

Very nice start.

I like the compactness of both designs. I also like the subtle features of your design a lot Michael.

I’m still not sure what I want - but both of these are a good start. Can we try more colors? The generator will be a bright red but the logo does not need to match it.

Also, how about adding an icon to the letters somewhere; even though I like the simplicity of the letters too. I’m so confused.

Mowling – Can you change the letters in your last graphics to have less “white space”?

Not sure if I'm traveling down the right road, but the idea behind this was moving magnets making electricity.

The lettering is nice, but the “magnets” don’t do anything for me. I think our customers – the typical consumer would miss the point.

I liking what I see but would like to try some things that may or may not work….

Mbliegh – can you invert the colors on your last design. Also try a few other colors, including a brighter red.

Mowling – I’d like to see less “white space” in the text. Maybe tighten them up or make them heavier.

Jason – I like your text a lot, but the logo still does not grab me.

Just-G – Can you somehow combine those two? They’re quite different – I like them both a little. Maybe use the bottom one with the logo from the top.

You guys (and gals) should keep up the good work – I like what I’m seeing so far.
