Who we are:
We are a start up mortgage broker firm in Memphis Tennessee. We find home loans for consumers by utilizing an array number of lenders with many products to fit each individuals specific needs. We are only about 2 months old and currently my partner and I have just hired our first associate. We should have 10-15 loan originators by the end of 2005. We are utilizing a business model in which brokers will work from their home and feed loan applications into a centralized office.
Our customers are a wide range of people with unique loan needs. We receive our business almost entirely from referrals from realtors, bankers, builders, and other professionals in the housing and finance industries.
We are targeting employees that are current industry professionals and highly motivated college graduates whom do not want the traditional 9 to 5 job. We would like our logo and image to reflect these things. We would like to portray a cutting edge yet highly professional image. This is reflected currently by our reputations as long time service providers in our prior professional lives working for corporations.
We are located in Downtown Memphis which is currently experiencing a substantial renaissance, with a major condominium and entertainment boom. Our company name, The Uptown Group is derived from a new residential neighborhood that has been revitalized in the Downtown area. Downtown Memphis is located on the Mississippi River and the city has a heritage of music (blues, rock n roll) and cultural change.
Suggestions include : Black, Green, Gray combinations but we are also open to other colors including shades of blue, etc. Some reflection of a skyline or a home could also be used. Or a combination of both (ie homes at the foot of a skyline). However that may be too complex and we are open to any ideas!
