View Full Version : [Project Complete] Logo for Law Firm
(Admin code added by Michael - Y6858137)
We are looking for a logo for a three attorney law firm that showcases our three initials: M, P and R.
We would like the overall look to be classy, elegant and eye-catching. Something unique.
No stock legal logos.
The closing date of this contest is 1/18/05.
Bill - thanks for being the first to reply. We like the color, being partial to dark blue, burgundy, etc. We also like the subtitle "Attorneys at Law" underneath the letters - a great identifier.
We did not like the letter font of the three initials, preferring something more "contained" - maybe something squared off, or otherwise showing "unity".

:)
This second posting is more what we were looking for! The tile effect is nice, and so is the white-on-dark lettering. In comparison to the first one, this one evokes more stability, which is to our liking. We'd like to see more ideas similar to this one. We'd also like to see different fonts and color schemes.

How about something like this?
Great postings so far! Please send more!
Mowling: need smaller "Attorneys at Law", bigger letters for the initials, less of a "raised" effect
Moz: not as good, too plain
RadicalSEED: you're on point with what we're looking for, except we'd request the clock be removed
We're not wedded to any of these yet (but definitely excited with what we've seen so far) - please continue with creative submissions in line with our previous comments. Thanks to all!:D

The constellation Libra, representing the Justice Scale was shining bright last night and suddenly this idea came to me.

Revised:D
Thank you all for your submissions (and re-submissions). Here are just a few more comments from us:
RadicalSEED: your idea has immediate visual impact, which we like, but we'd like to see other ideas from you if you are so inclined
lonelyrabbit - nice, but a bit plain for us, we're looking for more pizzaz, eye-catching and elegant
schnickerdoodle - the middle column looks out of place for us, but we can't think of where else it might go
mowling - one of us really likes your idea, but wants to see more variations on the same theme (see previous comments)
eziey - again, one of us really likes your idea, but wants to see more variations on the same theme
THANK YOU ALL! KEEP EM COMING!
vrod,
Do you have any specific feedback for Bill, MyChicken or my entry?
It is just as helpful to know what you don't like as it is to know what you do like. All feedback helps us get a better logo design for you.
Thanks!
Carl...

Hi - here's mine. Sorry, didn't have the names the MPR stood for, so just made something up. :)
Carl - thanks for requesting specific feedback. We didn't specifically comment on Bill's, yours and mychicken's because we are still contemplating them. It is fair that we at least give you our first impressions, however:
-- yours: excellent idea, very intriguing and classy. we are concerned, however, about not being able to identify the stars as stars when the logo gets shrunk down on a business card, and we are concerned that the logo will be misunderstood by our clients as being akin to "glitter" or mere stars for their own sake; we LOVE your lettering, but without the stars, it's just lettering; we're not sure what to suggest further, sorry - any ideas?
-- Bill's: definitely has a unique and eye-catching style, but we feel it is wrong for our "industry" - we think our clients would expect to see more staid and conservative; again, still mulling it over and thinking about what changes to suggest
--mychicken: this is definitely good, although we wonder if it is a bit plain; we are undecided amongst ourselves as to the style; still, this one is definitely in the running
Hope that helps, we realize it is not a lot to go on...

Couple more :)
Comments:
Mowling - can we see different fonts and/or lettering, and can you try to incorporate "Attorneys at Law" better in the overall logo. thanks
Bethie - good job, nice "clean" lettering, we're keeping this one in mind; by the way, our names are "Martinez, Pena & Rodriguez" - can we see how that looks, with and without the vertical lines separating the names; thanks for showing us what it would look like as a business card, that was very helpful
eziey - great job, can we see 222CVC in black WITHOUT the underline, and bigger
mychicken - 1st two designs look great, we're keeping this in mind; can we see the oval designs with different lettering (the letters you proposed are too "abstract" for us - we want the letters to be identifiable as individual letters)
Carl - we prefer "Attorneys-at-Law" rather than "Law Offices", your lettering is great, but we prefer a straight line block (like your first one), instead of the curve with the banner
Hope that is helpful...Keep 'em coming...you're making this decision a very difficult one!

Thanks so much for your quick feedback. Here's a new submission, including a few new colors, just to give you a feel. The names have been fixed and laid out in a few different options. Thanks!

:) updates
Thank you for all the recent submissions. Here is some feedback:
Eziey: Your recent submission is under consideration - no further comment at this time.
Bethie: Nice but could you try different fonts for the initials? We like it better w/o the lines separating the names.
Mowling: Like the idea of the initials and "attorneys at law" being in proportion. However, could we see different fonts for the initials and something other than the vertical lines bracketing the logo?
Carl: Of the most recent logo ideas you have provided we like the logo with the square boxes above the initials - could we see different color combinations?
My Chicken: Thanks for providing the new logo with the initials clearly visible and separate w/in the circle. However, we feel attorney at law is not really intigrated - almost apart from the actual logo. Submission #6 we love the 3D effect and color combo more so than the B&W non-shadow submission.
Hope these help - thanks - and keep them coming!
Color Selections. I have also included some psychology behind the colors. Rich colors tend to work better and are considered more corporate and professional.
Color is one of those things that can be worked on after you choose a design, during the revisions process.

Hi - thanks for the feedback. Here's mine with a bunch of font options.
Right off the bat we want to thank evryone for their wonderful submissions  This is by no means an easy choice to make but a choice must be made. We have decided to go with My Chicken's #3, first logo (2 shades of colors in the diamonds - navy, gray and white). We feel this is a classy look, with a nice layered effect that is eye-catching and elegant.
We need the logo in all possible formats. We will be doing another contest for stationary, business cards, letterhead, and general signage.
We are new at this, so we need feedback as to any further steps. HELP! and thanks again to everyone, please keep us in mind for our next contest. :D
