[Project Complete] Logo needed for Animal Shelter

The Animal Center is a new non-profit animal welfare organization in need of a company logo. The Center’s mission is to help end animal homelessness, abuse and neglect in its community by providing services that foster the bond between humans and animals. While the Center’s initial focus will be on companion animals (cats and dogs), our long-term vision is to establish the Center as a local leader in the humane movement, which includes all animals and the natural world.

We are looking for a logo that captures this mission. Logo will be used on business cards, stationary, website, and all promotional materials.

Our Requirements:

1. Logo must have a cat and a dog prominently featured (may include other animals or natural landscapes, but it’s not essential).

2. Simple, professional and polished design is best

3. Logo must offer fresh identity

4. Logo must be at least 2-color but convertible to black and white

5. Final design required in the following formats to be used on PC: EPS, TIF, JPG

Deadline: February 1, 2005

Thank you for taking an interest in our project. The client thinks this logo is quite good.

It's important that The Animal Center's logo stand apart from the logos used by other animal welfare organizations. We realize that in asking for a cat and dog to be part of our logo, we pose quite a challenge to the designer because so many other groups use the cat and dog image.

While our client likes this logo a great deal, we would also be interested in seeing other designs where cat and dog images were more abstract.

As with the last design presented to us, client likes the circular shape of the logo.

Nice work, Julieta. Client really likes this logo. Could we ask you to make the cat's ears more pronounced so that it looks slightly more feline? Also, the yellow color may be hard to read on white stationary. Could you change the color or outline words/images in yellow with blue?

Thank you all for your time and effort to help with The Animal Center's logo. Your designs are extremely impressive and we will be recommending this site to colleagues.

Our deadline was February 1st and we have chosen Belladona's last submission for our logo (#1). Bellandona, we would like to make the following minor changes if possible: Add the word "Inc." to "The Animal Center" text. The word "Inc." can be very small or shaded. It should not figure prominently but because we're a non-profit company, we need to have "Inc." somewhere in our logo. Also, could you make the words "the" and "center" have a matching color ("animal" should be in the other color used in the logo). Please let me know if you have any questions.
