I’m looking for a new logo for my software consulting company, "First Factory".

Originally, I tried creating logos with a single gear. I still like this idea, but I am not sold on it. I want something unique, fresh, and strong.

I would like to use the logo for my website, stationary and business cards.

Regarding colors... I'm open. I am looking for new suggestions.

Besides a gear, I once tried an image of a factory with smoke coming out (unsuccessfully).

Right now, I've tried a half dozen logos over the past year or two and I'm so biased I really want some fresh ideas.

Its good... (thanks), but very similar to my previous attempts (with slight variations).

Thanks to those that submitted so far. I hope to see more choices soon.

Here is my initial reactions to those submitted thus far:

1. I prefer the profesisonal looking logos that are less cartoonish.

2. I prefer the horizontal laying logos (longer) rather than those with vertical or box shapped footprints.

3. I have liked the idea of a gear in the past, and think it is better than a factory for sure, but I am very interested in seeing ideas that play with FF (initials) or form some other alternative graphic that goes with "First Factory"

4. I would like to see something done with the text, "First Factory" to manipulate the letters in some way so that they are not standard font text. For instance, integrate a graphic component with some letters, or make part of the letters part of the graphic.

I hope this helps. If anybody has anything specific to ask, please do so.

Can I see other color schemes and fonts?

Christopher,

Thanks for the three posts...

I don't think I care for the box footprint. I prefer the longer horizontal footprint.

I also don't think the factory is working. It gives the impression of dirty, smokey, industrial age. I want something more sleak and relating to technology.

Thanks.

I really like your work, but I'm affraid to go with something that looks like it is too bright, bubbly, baloonish... etc...

I'm very tempted, because the gear is nice, and I like how it is between the two words, but I think that the font is too entertaining.

It is number one (First) and F...:)

Aaron,

Thank you, this is an interesting design. I think that the 1, the F and the gear is a little too much for graphic. The gear looks a little too much like a flower. ;)

LonelyRabit,

Thanks for the submission!

I like it, and I followed your link to your Portfolio...

I like home & garden
I like the 3-d cube of ktmarketing
I like the swoosh under kensoft
I like the style of nitrate & iodine (two colors on the background)
I like paumilan if the circle was an outline of a gear, the same with infotech

I will work on several drafts according to your suggestions :) (BTW, thank you for stopping by my site :D)

PS: the Paumilan, KTmarketing, Home & Garden, and one of the infotech logos haven't been used (They're just mockups, so if you prefer for me to insert your company name in those logos or adjust them to your company's profile, let me know ;))

Lonely,

H&G Logo... It might be good if you could replace H&G with F (gear) F.

Kensoft... I like the swoosh, but I don't know how it would look with first factory in lowercase letters. I'm looking for professional, not hip.

Can you please try these variations:

. Putting the graphic at the end of the text (the left)
. Changing all the text to uppercase
. Changing all the text to lowercase
. Making the text 60-70% the height of the graphic
. Different colors

Thanks!

Tonya,

I like the image, can you try the following:

. No italics (somebody told me that once, and it stuck in my head)
. Put the image between First and Factory
. Don't obscure the first, make it like factory
. Use a different font, and make it all upper or all lower case

Thanks!

All,

Please also look at my other current contest:

http://www.designoutpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6320

I haven't received any entries yet, and I don't understand why.

I need my logo converted to vectors (it already is designed) and I need one large graphic in three sections. The contents and the layout of the graphic is 90% designed.

I'm looking for somebody to make this look more professional than I can do it.

Thanks!

Eziey,

WOW. thanks!

There really doesn't look like there is much more you can do to that logo to make it look any better. I'd be pressed to make a decission between the fonts. I like them all.

I want to see what the others come up with, there still is another week left.

Eziey,

Can you update eziey5 to use the colors of eziey3?

Please, if you could, show me two versions, one with orange/blue and the other blue/orage (reverse the collors).

Can you make the First Factory text a little larger?

Raja,

I really like this one, but I don't think it is the one I was looking for. It is really good however.

Thanks.

Is there to be any revisions?

jroff

Mike,

I don't think so... I'd like Eziey to give me the logo(s) and I'll play with the colors. I could spend the next six months telling him to change it to blue, red, orange, etc... and I can't do that to him! ;)
