Hello,
I am looking to replace the current logo for our company. The current logo can be found at www.servantix.com (http://www.servantix.com)
We are a small software company, our primary product is a help desk/IT management package. We will be introducing a network monitoring tool in the coming months.
The only requirement is that it uses our tag line "Where IT and IQ Collide".
Some considerations...
We do not use our logo on invoices, paperwork, etc. If the logo can use a readily available font so the name on our paperwork looks remotely similar it nice, but we are not stuck on this if the logo is really good.
We cater specifically to small and medium sized businesses. The logo should convey that we are technical, but not geeks. That we are professional, but not a corporate giant that will not tell you how much our software costs until you call and wait on hold for 20 minutes. (sorry, couldn't help myself)
It should not be too busy and work well both on the web and in print.
I look foward to seeing your submissions.
Thanks,
Keith

Hi Keith, do you have a deadline?

Hello,
There is no fixed deadline, though we are looking to wrap it up within the next two weeks (end of January). If things are going well we can be flexible.

I used Verdana, which is a standard Windows Font. Very easy to use as your company font.
Single color design - multiple shades of PMS 281.

Hello Everyone,
Thank you for your submissions so far...
>> Bill <<
I should have specified in the original requirments that we are looking for a horizontal logo. The graphic is busy, I am not sure how well it will transfer to print.
>> Michael <<
Nice, but it just doesn't grab my attention or say anything to me.
>> LonelyRabbit <<
I like where you are going, I especially like what you've done with the X. I am not sure about the font choice, seems a little too casual. I would like to see this with some different fonts.
>> Carl <<
Nice, though the IT and IQ in the tag line blend in too much. For some reason the graphic reminds me of a mountain, not technology.
>> Eziey <<
Nice graphic, but it doesn't say "technology" to me. It seems more appropriate for an insurance company or a financial institution.
>> Everyone <<
I would love to see more designs based on my suggestions.
Thanks,
Keith
Hi Keith, here is my little idea :D

Hello Everyone,
Thanks for the recent submissions there are some great things there.
I am sorry for the delay in replying, my wife is in the hospital and it has taken precedence (of course). I should be able to review the recent submissions by the middle of this week (Jan 26th). Thanks for your patience.

Hello Everyone,
I would like to thank everyone for their submissions, there were some really great ideas. LonelyRabbit's designs really capture what we where looking for.
The winner of this project is LonelyRabbit.
LonelyRabbit, can I see your last two designs with the X a little smaller, as well as the same size as the other characters. Also, I am undecided about which of the last two fonts.

I like the font from revision 1.
Can I see it with the X thicker, or just slightly larger than the rest of the text. I like the larger X, but wonder if it's too large (overpowering).

I definately like the X larger than the other letters, but I don't think I like the "fat" X. Would it be possible to see the top one from revision 3 without the fat X and also revision 1 to compare it to. It seems the revision 1 graphics you posted were removed.
Thanks, and sorry to be so picky on the X.
