I can't wait to see what you folks come up with for us!! We are a two sisters who have recently gone into the soap/lotion business together. Our name is "Jordan Sisters" and our tag line is "indulge your senses..." If you go to our under construction web site (jordansisters.com) you will see what we threw together with our very limited knowledge of design. We chose the flowers from clip art because there were two of them (sisters)and they were vibrant (pulling in "senses') but we are in not tied to flowers being part of the design. If you can come up with a play on "sisters" that would be fine too. Our thought is to keep it clean, perhaps chic/spa/upscale, and not cartoony. We would like to be able to use our logo on our website, labels and promotional items. We are not going for the "natural ingredient" look of so many bath/body product logos or the cutesy bathtub logos. We would like to get both a black only and two color version. Colors might include oranges and pinks but we are open to your suggestions. Any questions? (Sorry for the long, unorganized description!) deadline: Jan. 24, 2005

Moz, Thank you for your design. The logo looks a bit like a hair salon logo to us, too hip maybe? If going with the sisters theme it would have to be a little more of who we are...a couple of crazy, 30 something mothers, wives, always laughing and enjoying life sisters. I think it was Paula23's website that has an image of two women kind of doing a happy dance together that we liked..I hope that's not against the rules to say that!!! That would be more in line with who we are. We are not tied to a sister theme though either. If it works , it works. We do like your use of color in the backround. Not crazy about the fonts used. Geez..this is difficult to critique someones hard work! Is this feedback helpful? Please let us know if more/different info would better help you!

Here's a sort of funky idea targeted for a young audience:

Lonelyrabbit, Thank you for your design...maybe if we were only targeting younger crowd. The image of the sisters looks a little bit like a ladies room icon. Font looks a little thick. We like that you used some pink...we were thinking that a combo of pink (younger) and orange (older crowd) might hit all bases..of course we make soap, NOT logo's!! Maybe those two colors don't incorporate well?? Again, Thank you!
Also, for everyone...would it make more sense to stack Jordan Sisters as it is fairly long?? Or does that cause issues with our tag?

Michael, Thank you for your imput! While your logo is very pretty, it's just too elegant for us. We really like your "alimpac" and "bubble bee" logo's, kind of funkier fonts. Don't care for the purple and green (sorry bubble bee!). Could you try something with the pink of your "dalia" and the darker orange backround of your "death valley"? Also, we were thinking that "indulge your senses..." should be in lower case with the trailing periods. As though we want you to indulge your senses and here's how..... does that make sense?

Paula23, Thank you for your designs! Both are very nice. The second being more to our liking. The 1st just didn't seem ledgible enough in B&W. The 2nd image: we liked the colors and the indulge your senses font was nice and clear, the doodle (for lack of better word!) underneath indulge we really liked. The girls we liked to a point (not skinny little things!) but really liked the primitive(?) look of your girls on your website better. We liked how their skirts flowed together and they are facing each other. (is that actually a mirror reflection of one person? We were born on the same day 4 yrs apart and always say the same thing at the same time, so that appealed to us) Is it possible to try that particular image but maybe in black outline with pink, orange (other colors are ok to add if needed..purple, yellow) multi sized blocks in the backround to funk it up (similar to your piece)? We don't care for the cursive writing...I guess that is to differentiate the name from the tag but are there other ways? Can you try the image to the left and stacked jordan sisters to the right with indulge your senses under both of them with a variation on the flower doodle underneath. Maybe incorporate a few of the individual flowers in the image to tie it together. Lastly, I have to say this has been very difficult to express what we want without speaking to people directly..from our end it feels like we are cutting up peoples hard work when really we just haven't expressed our vision clearly enough. Thanks for your continued efforts on our behalf!! Lisa & Nina

Paula, sorry to take so long to get back you with feedback! There are many things we like about both #3 & #4. Could you try the evenly spaced out name from #4 with the image of #3. Also, try the tag line from #4, we prefer to not use cursive (just more ledgible in our opinion). The flowers on either side of the tag are a bit to close, but not sure if they would work w/o design # 4 anyway. We liked the flower in the middle of the "O" but we don't know if that would still work w/o the flowers mid air in #4, maybe use the flower from "doodle", use your judgement. Is it possible to add the flourish to the bottom of the skirt from your original (website) design. One more thing (I promise) the hands look a little claw like, is there any way to improve that? Any questions or clarifications needed, just ask. As always, Thank you for your work!!

Paula, We love the new improved hands, thank you for changing them. We were wondering if you can remove the flourish from the bottom of the skirt, turns out we like it better without. Are you able to darken the outline of the shirt on the girl to the left on design 3b like in design #3, just to bolden up the image against the colors. We like the flowers next to the tag and inside the O. Thank you again for all your hard work. Obviously we love this design!

We really love Paula23's design for a "sisters" theme. Can we ask if anyone else is working on a logo for us at present or has plans to?
