[Project Complete] LOGO for GrassRoots Lawn Company

Let the Designing begin. The name of our company is Grass Roots Lawn Company. I’ll give you liberty to adjust the “Grass Roots” portion of my name if it helps with creativity. By this I mean GrassRoots, Grassroots or Grass Roots. We are a full maintenance lawn care company.

Please, no clip art, not with the talent here! I’m looking for the most outstanding LOGO around. I want people who see my LOGO to associate it with a large corporation. I’d also like the LOGO to be powerful enough that if we removed the name there would still be company recognition.

Our logo will be used on everything. Website, Business cards, uniforms, caps, post-it notes, all trucks, enclosed trailers, truck windows(smaller designs maybe), signs left in yards etc.

If location is of importance, we are based in the Southern part of Illinois. Please don’t forget to include a section for our phone number & without. I’ll need to use the LOGO on some things without a number.

We need the LOGO’S to really shine on white trucks. 2 to 3 colors most.
I will need all available formats used by professional printers including screen printers.

All copyrights to winning logo will become property of Grass Roots Lawn Company.

I’d like to set an end date of 02/10/05. If not satisfied it may be opened back up for an additional week.

I like the ideas Bill. I'd more than likely have to lean towards #3. Maybe expand the Grass idea some how? I'm thinking I'd like our whole company name in makings. Good luck and can't wait to see expansions of your ideas :)

I like the bottom left card you submitted. Clean yet professional. I'd like to see some expansion with the whole company name. Maybe stagger GrassRoots Lawn Company? I"m not sure. I realy like the ideas though. Keep em coming.

I like the top drawing. Again, as you see in other posts if we can expand with the whole company name. I like the grass. Very classy. Maybe take the grass and have a section mowed down with the name. I hope that's understandable.?

Dave..not sure about the G's with the Ninja looking spikes. I do like the rolling idea with the grass in the front. Maybe take our name and put it onto the section behind the tall grass and go from there.

Try this. Take Grass Roots lawn comp. and insert it where the green rolling grass is. Use the company name as the green part. Take the brown part and somehow make that the root section.

I've found some wonderful designs that I'd like y'all to look at. Not wanting his winning design copied but would really like to see what we can come up with.

A few very interesting ideas. I like what they've done with the Grass man theme. Can we also, in addition to our current designs, run with this idea as well?

I like the 1st design the best. Can we expand on it? I like the circle and then again it needs something changed with it, not sure what it needs. To me, it looks like a Mexican fedora

We really like the 1st logo. I'd like to try something to see how it would look. Take the GrassRoots & curve it over the top of the logo. Start at say..10 o'clock & bend around to maybe 3? Do the same with the lawn company on the bottom like you do on top. Just like to see this.

Also would like to see the 1st logo on a biz card, with a phone number. Just want to get a perspective of how this looks.

Thanks for posting Fabian. We like the design but feel that the G is strange. Don't feel shackled with using letters. Get creative as you want. I'm gonna post a stripped lawn that maybe y'all can do something with. Good luck and thanks alot.

The more I look at your design the more I like it. Can you darken the green a little? Enlarge the circle design maybe 10%?

I want to suggest a color change with the letters G & R. I'd like the G to be a richer blue than what the inside circle is that MyChicken used. Change the R to a deep green color. Also set it up on a biz card so I can see what it would look like. I know the color change doesn't make sense but I want to see it.

MyChicken these are awesome. This contest is going to end sooner than the 10th. Could you show me what they would look like with Grounds Control, grounds Management & Lawn Service in place of Lawn Company.

I lean more towards the GrassRoots being under the name as opposed to curving around it.

Sorry for the delay in posting but I've been really busy with other projects.

ADDITIONAL request:
1. What would the logo look like on a hat, shirt and a 1998 Chevy truck?
How large will we be able to enlarge the logo? With what you'll give us, is there a limit?

Mychicken. I'm sorry I wasn't clear. That was my fault. I didn't mean all those services listed underneath, they should've been listed singularly. Like GrassRoots Grounds maint. GR Property management etc. I can definately see where you could've gotten the wrong idea. Totally my fault..
By the way....the listings are awesome. Please correct and I'll post feedback.

GANG....Y'all have done an OUTSTANDING job. The talent on this site is greater than I can explain. I'll decided which logo to choose for our new Company Image no later than 2/3, thursday, by 6pm central time.

Only stipulation will be some final touches that shouldn't take the winning designer very long.

Wow. I want to thank everyone for their hard work, creativity and the willingness to make adjustments so quickly. I only wished that I could pick everyone and use them on different trucks and trailers. But...if I did that it sure wouldn't create much continuity and branding for our company.
I'm excited to share this site and remind the people I tell about the awesome talent that worked on our personal logo. I will be back for additional work in the very near future and am looking forward to that contest. I've learned alot doing this contest and understand better. Thanks again!!

I want the logo to be just like the one in the business card. Grassroots lawn company. Name under neath instead of around. Please post the following suggestions.
