[Project Closed] Addition to an existing Pet Sitting logo $100

Last year JulieT won the design contest for a logo she created for my company. She has given me permission to submit it back to Design Outpost for some re-working as she had some time constraints and couldn’t do the job privately.

The logo she did was wonderful… but now I want to add my Dalmatian spotted car into the logo, as it has become a recognizable image.

I'd like to keep the same dog & cat, the same font (Good Dog Cool) as well as the "flamingo pink" color because those are now recognizable images for my company. I really like what Julie designed for me (she created some animal friends to match Big Dog & Miss Kitti too), but if someone is inspired to show me something different, I would be open to it.

Unique, eclectic, retro, (50’s & 60’s look... see the boomerang that Julie included) are what I like.

The design will be used for all aspects of the business… business cards, T-shirts, banners, etc.

The deadline will be 1/30/05

The ZIP file you've provided us with doesn't contain vector arts, these should have file extensions like *.ai, *.eps, *.cdr, *.fh
Without these files we actually cannot start working on this project :) Sorry for noticing it so late.

Aside of that, I see why the designers aren't very eager to start working on the project: it's definitely a tricky thing to do, altough it may not seem like it. Your logo has many different elements in it, it's already pretty tight and crowded, to add yet another element means to virtually convert it in an illustration, which isn't exactly the right idea.

To add the car and preserve the composition and simplicity an additional work is needed, namely - the logo itself must be tweaked, probably some elements would have to go.

I'll try to come up with something for you, but I'll have to tweak the logo, and I'll need the vector files :)

* Alex, Thanks for your advice and instruction... but truthfully, I have no idea what those other file extensions are although JulieT did send some files that have those at the end but I cant open them on my computer... However, your explanation of what all is involved in what I would like to have done just confirms that it is best for me to close this contest...
