I need a logo designed for a country music artist from the actual name "Michael Lee Austin"

I need it to utilize his name and maybe a combination of the the letters "MLA" with the name underneath or next to.

This logo will be used as branding for all his products and records.

I don't have a set design in mind. So please feel free to be and creative. I am sure one of you will create something amazing.

The design should be able to tell it is a country artist by the look and even may incorporate a guitar into the logo.

I look forward to seeing all the designs.

Looks good so far...

I like the direction of davegk. I am not sold on the lines through the middle nor the cut out for the guitar hole.

We might be able to try different fonts especially for the Michael Lee Austin underneath the letters.

For all others...

Please keep sending entries... I am not completely sold on any concept yet. It is not necessary to use a guitar I like the star concept but not too many. Maybe just a big one to the right or something.

Sorry to have not posted something sooner.

All great entries. I will be choosing a winner in the next 2 days.

Here are my comments....

I still like davegk the best so far.

Mowling is has a great concept, the issue I have with it, is I don't think people will be able to distinguish the MLA enough to figure it out, I guess it is a bit too artsy for the country crowd. Remeber it is a very simple audience. :)

I like the direction of QuirkDesign as well, but it looks too much like Brooks and Dunn, almost the same logo.

Paula23 looks a bit too much like the Monkey's logo.

GraphixParanoid is good, I look the silver nametag. Very slick. Not so sure about the guitar coming through the middle.

Think George Strait, Tim McGraw, Neal McCoy, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith. As stated earlier. This all a big branding issue for the artist.

I want corporate logo, stating country along with a NEW and fresh feel. Don't be afraid to step outside the box.

The guitar and stars are only suggestions, please feel free to venture out and add what you think would fit.

OK I went out of the box! This idea came to me and I feel that it would be a great idea for a Country tour. My American Routes tour is a play on American Roots! You could tour the major routes in America ie; Route 66! I know this isn't helping your logo needs, but it had to come out :rolleyes:

A guitar neck can also be added to top of road sign.. could be a cool T-shirt / promo art
