Hi

I dont know if anyone can help but I want to set up a website.

Basically I am a Purchasing Manager for a large UK company and believe I could sell items on the web and negotiate the best deals and pass money to charities to help customers make the choice between us any our many competitors.

If possible I would like to see some logo designs for a web site which could sell a range of products, basically covering the following areas, Gadgets, Household, Security, Tools, Insurance Policies etc, Basically if I can get something cheap and make money then the site will be able to offer it. Bright vibrant colours preffered reds, yellow, blue etc.

Logo would need to work on website, business cards, compliment slips and other mediums.

Not really a charity case (although one of the selling points is that a % of profits will be given to charity to boost sales), a cheeky case!!

Thanks if you can help.

Roy

Hi again

To see if I could help anyone I had a look around the site at other logos done to give you a clearer idea on the style I like. I love the Bargains direct one with the star as I could see that later rotating etc like a flash site. I like the sort of big company image style like Capital Web Design, Bargain Direct and the time2test with the clock top right.

If you feel others colours would work better than my suggestions then feel free, I want a bright site not tacky as its going to be a very unique concept. For it to work it will need to portray a company with a lot of power not only to get the deals but to get the sales as well. I need to convince people that a proportion of money to charities and good causes vs the high street is better.

The site should be up and running in 30-60 days using a shopping cart software I already have. Just finalising the final deals before go live with couriers etc.

If it makes money I will use this site and designers again as I think this is excellent tallent on here. I actually work in packaging and what companies pay for design concepts and the quality compared to what I see on here is amazing. I will certainly be reccomending this site to companies I know for pack designs and new logos etc.

 You guys are great. You have great imagination...unlike me. I am good securing deals and business negotiation and business concepts not graphical conceptions. Well you cant be good at everything

Thanks Guys

Hi, have just logged on for a quick look and some of the deisgns are great. Just to let you know my favourites so far are Ed's design 1 and 2 from top and FTI's with the wave effect.

I will leave the design open as I just love seeing the creativity of you guys in case anyone comes up with anything else. I wont comment on colours as the design of the site can easily for that of the logo a a base colour.

I thought as a big thank you for the winning design I would put a mention on the web site once complete with a link to the winning web designer. I will thank each and every one of you for your time for designing and if more work needs to be done later on with the site I will be back to you

My gut feel is that this site is going to do very well as I have had some really positive feedback from suppliers about the business and my ideas.

Good luck to you all and once again many thanks in advance.

Roy

To all,

Many thanks for your time and effort you put into the logo design and I have made my decision, which was a difficult one to make.

I think as I liked 2 designs I would like to go with the following designs. I may perhaps change the colours but I can do this myself in Photoshop so if you could email me the designs I can have a play and find the best colour schemes to go with the site.

Julie T

I liked slash 2 and 3 because of the different layouts and one of these will be used on the main web site as the company logo. The squarer design I may use as well in the banner ads.

Ejlain

I love design no 2 with the little bubble effect over the O. What I liked about this is that for banner ads, which I hope to be getting on charities web sites this logo will really fit the bill. Julie’s design portrays in my opinion a bigger company image for when I need to secure deals and yours will be better for the selling attributes of the business.

I hope you are both OK with my decision and once again many thanks for your great designs. If you want to forward me your contact details then once the site is up I will put a link into your site as a thank you and a mention that you designed the logo's (branding) etc.
