(Admin code added by Michael - 41873181U)

Web template - simple in nature but specific in requirements. Please don't bid if you aren't able to meet all requirements.

1) Everything must be in one file except for graphics (i.e. css is out, as are frames)

2) all graphics must be stored in a single director

3) there must be navigation links in one or more places (top, bottom, whereever) for the following areas

a) Home Page
b) Articles Archive
c) Submit Article
d) Newsletter Subscribe
e) Resource Directory
f) Advertise Here
G) Add URL

4) the output of the project will be a header.shtml file and a footer.shtml that can be sued as SSI includes on every pages of my website. I will give awarded bidder a video showing how they can convert a web page into a header.shtml /footer.shtml. after making the design. this is a simple process but i'll need you to do it as part of the process.

5) The topic of the website should be generic. I will be using this template on several websites of different topics.

6) I like grays and blues but i'd love to see what you come up with.

7) I need white in the center of all unique page-to-page content.

8) It must fit nicely on any resolution from 800x600 on up. It's okay to horizontally scroll for 640x480, but the design should always fit on 800 or wider without horizontal scrolling

9) It must validate to current standards! You pick the validation site and run it through a test to be sure. Post youre results here.

10) Internal javascript is Okay (and appreciated - but not needed).

Here are some sites I like as examples:

Paul,

Sorry that it seems your project got pushed to the bottom of the pile, but lets see if we can get this taken care of for you.

I note that you want a header/footer include - therefore, do you WANT a left/right navigation menu, or do you just want to have all the elements incorporated into the top header?

Thanks - as soon as you let me know about this, I will get you something to see :)

Paul,

Simple. Simple. Simple.
Please let me know of changes from this :)

I appreciate the design here but isn't the idea that I get multiple options to choose from.

Did I do something wrong here?

Paul,

I am more than happy to do whatever you like - I will admit that I am still not 100% certian what you need. All I know is it needs to be "generic" enough to skin several sites...

That is why I made this - with no real graphical element. If you can direct me from what you see above, such as graphical additions, color changes and the like that would help.

Lori,

What you did is great - I was just hoping for some other designers in here as well. Isn't that the whole idea behind this thing?

But, hey, you did your part. so let's work on this one

1. I like the look here . The button across the top will have to be text, not graphics. I'm not sure which way it was designed.

2. The nature of what I'm doing prevents the two-toned nature of the middle section. I.e., kill the sidebar.

3. i like the quote box in the middle. i assume that doesn't have to be a certain size and will grow if I add content to it?

Paul,

:D Let's get to work - you have waited long enough!

1. They would be TEXT when the template is coded - I would use the Verdana font more than likely, and just make them large and bold (styled with CSS so you can easily change the font color, face and size - if that is ok with you)

2. Will kill side... so you just want the MAIN content area only, and NO side navigation/informational area at all... will do now.

3. Since you do not want positioned CSS (as I know from the last contest, and your specs of this one), the box will have bordered corners in a table. So yes, the box will hold as much or as little information as you need and will expand or decrease with that text...

I will be right back :)

Here are some changes to ponder Paul.

Are you ok with colors used, or would you like to see another tone?

Would you like to add any graphical elements to the header portion?

now we got two designs to have fun with :D

1 - looks great - thanks -

2 - all the buttons will need to be text based, not graphics based - your will be set up that way, right?

3 - kill the "extra info" section. this needs to be a single column design

4 - kill the "newsletter" element at the top.

thanks

response to lori - thanks - we'll wait for this other one and then make a quick decision.

With revisions:
Similar to what Lori said, the navigation links will be text, styled to suit the colour(s) you need. :)

Here is another navigation option for you to consider Paul :)

I'm going to give this one to Lori - thanks to both of you.

Lori, Zip it up and let me download. I assume since you're a mod, you know how to get the cash.

Pleasure.
