Digital DJs LLC Logo Design Contest - EXTENDED DEADLINE

This logo will need to appeal to 2 or more different target markets.

Attributes:• High-Tech (Technologically advanced)*
• Professional
• Clean Look
• Friendly
• Confident
• Exciting
• No clichés (we do not use CDs or Records – we use computers**)

COLORS:
I like the electric colors. Remember? High tech? The color of lightning is cool. I like electric blue and electric green, but don’t feel obligated to stick with those colors. I like dark background but I want an optional border so i can print on white paper...

MARKETS:
The two markets this logo must appeal to is the younger and the older generations. The first and foremost important market is schools, colleges, sweet 16s, etc. The second is the more classy, eligant market hiring for weddings, corporate parties

Concepts/Ideas (ranked in order):

IN NO WAY ARE YOU LOCKED INTO THESE IDEAS.

1. 2d crowd of dancing silhouettes that have their arms in the air. Their bodies transforming into 0’s and 1’s (binary code similar to the matrix?) with Digital DJs LLC written underneath out of the 0’s and 1’s… in other words, the dancing silouettes transform into Digital DJs LLC.

2. Idea – Use the attached font to develop a type of the Digital DJs LLC that looks like it is lit up like an LCD screen.

Things I Like:- http://www.thedjs.net/ - NO LOGO but I like the ELECTRIC feel of the site. For example, the animation effect that accents the title on the top of the page, it is cool. (no i don't want animation)
- http://www.dancepartydjs.com/ - closest to my area… I like their logo because it is fun, bright, and colorful. I don't like thier logo because it is too childish, it is too plain. I want a more high tech appeal.
- http://www.brodysxtremesounds.com - The logo is cool because it stands out. It goes good with the name because it looks "extreme". i like the color scheme.
- http://www.bestmitzvahs.com/ What I like about this logo is that it appeals to both audiences. I don't know how this logo helps me with "digital" DJs, but look at it to get an idea of what I mean by elegant and classy.

GOOD LUCK GUYS. I hope this revision will get some more people in here.

Is this too much of a description? Or is this enough to strike your creativity? Let me know... I would like to have a good turnout on this contest.

I'm sorry but this is not what I had in mind. I need something that stands out from the rest. This is too generic. Now, I realize that I gave a similar font to work with but I'm not stuck on anything. Give me something that will WOW the customer. The school market demands something fresh, something new. I want something HIGH TECH, bright, colorful, ELECTRIFYING... Focus on these terms for now, then we'll work on trying to figure out the wedding market variation later - in a different contest if we have to.

But thanks for the submition, I hope to see more very soon...

I forgot to add...

My company name is "Digital DJs LLC"...

No apostrophe... And the LLC must be included somewhere in the logo for legal purposes. I would rather it be formated like a trademark with superscript or something.

Thanks
Jay

Tonya: It is not bad. Interesting concept. I like the colors. But that is not really what I need. Thank you for attempting.

I'd like my company logo to focus more on the technological "feel" then on the technological objects.

Thanks for the post.

Paula23,

Out of all of them i like Digital 1A the best. It is a little hard to read the font, and i don't know if the font is what i am looking for. Maybe try some other variations...

I'm sorta waiting for some more designs to come because I'm not seeing anything that is really catching my fantsy. I'm not going to try and steer you guys more unless you have any more questions . I'm not sure what else to say...

Thanks,

Jay Shoemaker

Paula23,
Digital B has a nice concept but I'm not sure if that is the direction I would like to go.
Digital C - Is that a font? What font did you use? I like it very much... The dancing figure is also very cool. I would like to see a little more emphesis on the figure. Try to make it look a little more unique. Also, maybe add another dancer so that they are dancing together (man and woman). Make the figure(s) larger and place Digital DJs LLC along the bottom or overtop of the dancers. Finally, Add some color to the overall concept. Maybe make each pixel for the lettering different colors - maybe make the figures texturized with pixels and make them two toned as well... I don't like the green you used I want more like an electric green/blue. This may sound like I'm being picky but I am starting to see something with this one and I want to see some more experimentations done with the figure and that whole digitized dancing concept...

Gilles,
I like the first one you posted! It looks like the girl is jammin and that is cool. Try adding a second male figure to the design. Also, I don't like the color of the girl's skin/DJ, it is too orange - try something else (i'm not sure what). But overall I can also see something developing from this one as well... The others are interesting but a little different then what I am looking for.

Adrian,
I like the simplicity of this design but it is too plain. I will say however that you have the whole digital thing right... (pixels)

EVERYONE: Thank you for making my experience at Design Outpost fun... Keep up the good work, Let's see some more! Only 2 days left!

Adrian,

I'm starting to like your logo... The more I look at it the better it is getting... The reason I was originally turned off by it so much is because I don't like the D... However, I love the font - the colors - the cleanlyness - even the Digital aspect of it...

I think you might be able to do what I want. Can you mess around with these two elements and give me some examples of what you envision?

1. Sound Wave
2. Dancing Man & Woman

Thanks for giving it a shot.

Hey Designers!

I have extended the deadline of my project becuase there is nothing that i see that I want to settle with. You guys are doing a great job but I want to be 100% sure that the logo I choose will be what I want because I will have to live with it for the rest of my company life.

I want something a little cleaner than some of the ideas I have been getting. Design General has the concept but I don't like the emblem. Paula23 has a good concept of what I want but I don't think it is as clean as I want it.

I'll post responses as more posts come up.

Thanks,

Jay Shoemaker

samoyloff,

Can you straighten the box - don't put it on an angle... then put the dude with headphones to the left of "DJs"...

Finally - can I see it with the "D" in Digital capitalized... and the "DJ" in DJs capitalized... Give me an example with both combinations (cap and non-cap)...

Good Job, Thank You.

DesignGeneral,
Looks good, I'll leave feedback later today.

Paula23,

eziey & shnickerdoodle studios,

I really like both of your designs. By far the best I have seen so far. Very good!

The only problem I am having with both of them is the color schemes. Eziey, can you try to make it "Pop" change the color to stick out on a white surface - it looks good on black. Shnickerdoodle, Can you give me a few variations, I like the two tones but not the two tones you gave me.

If either of you don't want to work on this anymore, don't worry about it. I know that we can work in the revisions forum more anyway... But it would help me with my decision.

thanks guys,

Jay

Design General - I don't like it. If you want, go back to your previous design and change the original design to a megaphone?

eziey - It's good. Can I see it with Digital DJs to the left of the musical note, inside the green, made larger? Like a banner...

Shnickerdoodle - 1A is the color I like.

Can you reverse the note top?

I like it backwards because my name is Jay - it sorta fits but I want to see it normal.

Please do it with both variations with the text inside the box (banner style) and the text outside of the box.

If I were to purchase this logo can I have both variations included in the purchase?

Eziey,

Congratulations, you are the winner for this contest. The only thing I would like you to change/add is a shadow. I would like it to stick out on white paper a little better. (Feel free to try something other than a shadow if you can think of something that will work). I would like all source files, including a B&W version of both layouts.

Thank You,
Jay Shoemaker

You've got the shadow right, but I don't like how you filled in the white parts on the logo itself. I would still like the bottom half of the note and the text (when inside of the box) to be white when on the white background... For the black background I would like it to be black - just as you had it before...
