This project pays $125. Deadline is Thursday, February 17.
Gabby Girl Creations is a new company named after owner’s daughter.
Products include, but not limited to, handmade baby blankets, toddler clothing, kids room décor and accessories, jewelry, t-shirts, etc.
Logo will be used for, but not limited to, packaging, gift tags, labels, signs for display, t-shirts, letterhead, notepaper, business cards.
I will need the logo in several formats and in both color and black. (I assume I will need this, but not sure what to ask for here).
Colors
I have Publisher and I really like the color scheme named IRIS (Green (more of a kiwi green?), Orange and a Purplish Blue).
I also played around with a business card design in Publisher and like the font (French Script MT) for "Gabby Girl Creations".
But don’t limit yourself to this type of font or color scheme.
I already have an idea in mind, but don't limit yourself to this idea. What I have in my mind is a green frog, with eyelashes and a tropical flower on her head off to one side. A happy frog that is cute and maybe a little sassy or quirky. As I stated before I really like the color scheme of orange, green and a purplish blue. So maybe Gabby Girl Creations in orange, frog in green and the flower in the purplish blue? But I am totally open to new ideas. The other idea I had was maybe a girls face. I like some of the ones that Hanna Andersson uses on their packaging, but not crazy about just black and white.
Because the company name is long I am worried about the name taking up too much space. Don't want the company name to appear under the frog in one line. Maybe "Gabby Girl" in an arc above frog and "Creations" under frog. Just a thought.
Thank you and I am excited to seeing what ya all come up with.

Tonya,
Thank you for starting us off. She is a cutie. I think I'd like to see her facing forward and not be so Kermit the frog looking? I like that we can see her body. Maybe you could have her raising her front legs in the air or something. I am thinking like when little kids get really excited and they throw their arms up in the air and shout and scream. Can you give her longer or thicker eye lashes? I am not sure about the flower. It looks like it is sitting on her back instead of on top of her head. I like the color of the flower and lily pad. Maybe you could make the company name another color other than black? Thank you.
GP, I like this. The orange and green are exactly what I was looking for. The fuchsia is good too. I like that she is facing forward with her big grin. She is a little mysterious with the one eye showing which I like, but that bugs me out a little too that I can't see her other eye even though I know it is there. Can you include her other eye? Maybe the other eye could be winking? I like that the image is larger than the company name. I like the script, but maybe you can play with the colors. I am not crazy about the white on black. For me as I look at it is a little hard for me to read the text. Not sure if that is because of color or because the type is too small? Overall I love the colors, her big eyes and big grin. Thank you.

GP,
Thanks. I don't care for logo 1, version 2. But thanks for trying the wink. That eye looks awkward. Logo 2 needs to look more like the frog in logo 1 versions with no lips, no spots and I really like the shape of the frogs face in logo one instead of the shape of the face and cheeks in logo 2. I do like that we see her entire face and that she is out of the box. The type in logo 2 is still hard for me to read. Thank you.

GP, I really like the type. Looks great. I don't have a preference yet on the type as I like them both. Can you play around with her smile. It just isn't right yet. It needs to be big and friendly. It looks a little creepy to me in some way. Have you tried the flower just to the right of her ear? What does that look like? Can you curve the top of her head slightly so it isn't so flat. Overall I am really liking this design. Thanks for all your work.

GP, I just looked back at Logo #2. I like the flower placement better in that one. It looks more realistic in terms of being tucked in behind her ear instead of sticking out so far in the logo 3 and 4. Can you fill in the middle of the flower with orange please. Thanks!

Tonya, I really like what you have done. She is cute and looks very friendly. Can you try another font and make the font smaller? Or size down the current font, but make it more bold? Maybe change it to orange. I very much like the placement of the type, but it is a little simple. Is there anyway to put the suction cups at the end of her toes and fingers? Thanks for all your work!

Paula, No you aren't too late. This isn't really what I am looking for. It is a little too Mrs. Grinch like. But I thank you.

eziey, I really like this. Can you remove the "S" from Girls as it is Gabby Girl Creations. I like the pink, but I'd really like to see a version with the orange. Like maybe the flower and Gabby? Whatever you think looks good. Thank you.

GP, Yes! I like the smile. That is right on.
Tonya, I like the changes you made.
Eziey, Thank you for the changes.
You three have made this really hard for me! I appreciate all your hard work and Tonya and GP thank you for all the revising you did. I will have to sit on this and think about it for the next day or two to make my decision.

Eziey,
On the second logo can you make the Girl and Creations more of a true purple so I can see if that makes a difference with the orange. Can you also remove the s in girls on the version 1 so I can see it. Thank you!

Eziey, I am leaning toward choosing your design - #4. But can you please move Girl over like you have in #3 now that you've removed the s. Thank you.
I printed out all the logos so I could compare them side by side. Can I assume that when I make my final choice that the file I get will be at a higher resolution?

Yup...You'll get copy in high resolutions and also vector format EPS (which you can enlarge it to any size as you wish without losing its quality in appropriate software such as Corel and Illustrator)

I apologize that this is short notice but I would like to pick a winner in the next few hours. It is the day before the deadline.

I have picked a winner. I thank everyone for your ideas, creativity, hard work and revisions.
Eziey, I have choosen your design (#5). I am very happy with it. But I think we need to play with the color some. Now I am thinking it may be too bright. Can you try the logo with a soft pink, soft green and brown (like what a couple designers were doing for the QueLu Project that is in the revisions forum - see post #56 with the colors in the logo but not the bags). And may need to play with the size as I search for the labels I am going to use.
But we can go ahead and get this over to the revisions forum.
Thanks you!!

Size shouldn't be any problem at all...When you sent the logo for any designing purpose such as bag or label design, you just need to provide designer the eps file..They can easily shrink or enlarge it to match their design ...they can even seperate the frog from the text:)

Eziey,
Thanks for changing the colors and the information. I am just concerned because since I am just starting out and still have to create all the "creations". I will be buying the labels and printing them myself and for my documents like letterhead I have Publsiher (which I have to learn how to use) and Word. And as you can tell I am not a designer.
Good to know it is possible to separate the text from the frog.
Would it be possible for you to send me logo #5 and #6? I can't decide on a color. And I take it the files will include the black and white as well.
Thank you so much and I am really happy with your creation!! How do you get the files to me? Do you need my email address?

Hi.
I like the second one for the tagline. However, this was not the final color choice. It needs to be the logo with the blue. Thanks. I can see how it could be confusing because you gave me a second color choice with my final file.
I don't like how the llc looks. Can you put a comma after creations and make the comma and llc a lot smaller? And also use LLC and llc and see which looks better.
Thanks!!!

Thanks. I like the second one. Thanks for doing this so quickly for me. As I mentioned before in a previous email I need it as is and then another file without the llc.
Thanks again.
