UPDATE - March 1st -
Had meeting with board. Additional comments that may help in design:

-a fluid design, indicating movement up towards success
the movement can be in the form os silhouettes of a family, (adult and child)
-something that is motivational

•Shepherd's Village is a christian, non profit 501-C-3 transitional housing ministry for single parents and their children. http://www.shepherdsvillage.org/

•The ministry assists families in establishing a positive and stable home while equipping parents/other adults with tools to help them become self sufficient financially and vocationally.

•Shepherd's Village provides opportunities for individuals to expand life management skills, including parenting, time management, home management, and career development.

•The ministry provides and encourages a Christian environment and seeks to build spiritual maturity through activities centered around bible study, wholesome recreation, worship, and fellowship with other Christians.

•While the organization is a Christian non-profit organization, the logo design does not need to be "overly" religious in nature but should reflect that this is a housing ministry that equips families with spiritual, physical, and emotional tools for success.

•Logo should have minimum of two colors and be in formats for both print and web.

Hi. The group liked the clean feel of this. Some ideas that spawned from this were:

perhaps looking at replacing the arrow in the house with a cross
-make the house symbol more "home" looking (one member thought it was too close to a dog house), maybe a line that shows an open door?
-in the center of the house - perhaps use imagery that symbolizes a parent and child - much like silhouettes of people in motion
-more movement in the graphic - moving up, motivational
-perhaps look at the text stacked as well? that may allow for a bigger emblem?

Good idea on the concept of 2 people under "one". There seems to be a small oriental feel to the tiers though..

This is nice too. Good concept of security and safety in the "arms" of the emblem. I think making the yellow images less "round" in overall appearance may keep it from looking space ship like. The idea and image is good.. maybe a quick edit?

This is nice an clean. The only thing missing is "the people". Although this is a housing ministry - it really is for families. Anyway to add some imagery that incorporates this too?
