Hello! (Admin code added by Palmer - 1815505)
I'm looking for a great logo for my pet care service. The name of my company is *Creature Comforts Pet Care*. I've been in business for three years and have a web site but don't have a good logo that projects the feel I want for my company.
I'm looking for something classy yet eye catching that will tell people Creature Comforts is the best for their pampered pets. My target market is those individuals that want the best for their pets and are willing to pay for it! I care for any type of companion animals large and small, from Horses to aquarium fish, but the bulk of my business is cats & Dogs. I do in-home pet care for travelers, daily dog walking for those that work long hours, and provide a pet taxi service.
I recently purchased a new vehicle and would like to put my new logo, and perhaps a tag line etc. on my vehicle as well as on my printed materials. My new outfit is a Pontiac Vibe and is Wine colored with dark gray body moulding. I'd love something to match the *Creature Comforts* feel. I have in the past used * Got Paws?* and ,Have I hugged your pet today? as slogans but am open to new suggestions that would go with the *Creature comforts* feel.
The logo could just have Creature Comforts Pet Care for the text, or a tagline as well. I'm open to all classy looking graphics, but of course want the pets I care for represented and incorporated into it.
I'm also open to seeing any color combinations you can come up with at this point as I'm very lacking in the creative juices dept. :( :help:
Let me know if I need to supply more info. Please feel free to check out my web site if that would help you get a feel for who I am and what I do. Web addy is; GotPaws.net
My anniversary is next month so how about a June 21st deadline?
Thank you!

Hi everyone!
I'd just like to add ( forgot to do this in my initial post) that Beagle Tracy told me about this wonderful forum and all the talent here. Based on the great designs you all came up with for Tracy, I'm very excited about this contest. :lol2:
Thanks,

That's great to hear. The best advertising is a satisfied customer's recommendation  . I'll get to work on your logo this weekend.

Here's a stylish entry for you :) I chose purple because its the color of royalty - and that's how people like to treat their pets! :)

Hi Sparky!
Thanks for joining my contest. I appreciate your effort but a poodle wouldn't be my first choice of dog. The purple is cool B) , I like the royalty connection but not sure it would transfer well or show up on my wine colored vehicle. Not crazy about the font, kinda too cutesy for my taste, but it is clever.
A couple more ideas would be using Creature Comforts on the first line, and then Professional Pet Care, Professional Pet Care Service, etc. under it. A friend thinks I should put In-home Pet Care, or In your home Pet Care so as to distinguish myself from a boarding facility or kennel. But I don't want to get too long or wordy.
I not only want something that will look great on my vehicle, but on the front of T-shirts for work, sort of like Beagle Tracy. And that I can also shrink down nicely to have embroidered on the pocket of my nicer Polo shirts for client consults etc. as well as for use in print.
Would really want more than just the dog represented I think as just a dog might denote dogs only, Maybe a cat & or bird or horse?
I don't know I just don't want to discriminate :D
This area, Wyoming is big in equestrian events and I do care for alot of horses even though the bulk of my service is dogs and cats. I also care for large birds, actually any kind of animal you can think of!
Thank you again for the effort, hope you'll try again! :)
Actually, now that I think of it, the transfer will most likely have to be white or some other very light color for the vehicle lettering / graphic so don't worry about that aspect as I want something colorful for the shirts and print. I can always just use a white version of the final design for my vehicle.
Thanks again!

By the way, I am personally owned by three English Springer Spaniels and 9 cats, mostly all rescues from our local shelter.

Ondarox,
Wow! Very inovative and striking. I'm not sure it's me, and again it's pretty exclusive as far as animals ( cat only) but it's very cool. A bit too cutting edge perhaps or stylized? Please keep trying! I think you're very creative.
Thanks!

Also, since *Creature Comforts* invokes many different things to different people, I think it would be important to also use the Pet Care aspect so people know exactly what it is I do? No? Maybe not if the graphic was telling enough but I like the idea of saying what I do. Thank you again and I'm looking forward to this contest with great anticipation.

Hi TRandall,
Here's my submission for your contest.
It's 3-colour, and the colours can easily be changed. (I just started with blue/gold/pink).
Your feedback is appreciated.
-Kimber
Kimber,
I really like what you've done. You're hitting at the heart of *Creature Comforts. I also like that you've got a cat and a dog together.. Would like to see a third animal represented perhaps? Either a horse ( horse country) or a cockatoo with it's crest up. That would be distinctive. You're def. in the right vein but the pets aren't quite right. I like the pet care wording in the first example, but not crazy about the font. This is def. heading in the right direction. I like them both but, just not there.
Please expound on these they're nice. I wish I could give you more help or feed back but I'm design challenged and that's why I'm here. Only know what I like and don't.
Thanks Kimber, I think you've got the feel, now just polish it a bit and make the pets more appealing? Could you play with the fonts a bit and perhaps spread it horizontally just a tad instead of so tigh and upright. Perhaps adding a third pet would help towards this end.
thank you for a great design, so far.

By the way Ondarox,
I love that you took the time to show my vehicle and how it may look. :D Thank you. I do like your design but it needs to have different animals depicted together and perhaps have more heart? and once again, I would like the pet care added. Very nice work though.
Don't know if this matters, or should even be a consideration, but I do live in the foothills of the beautiful Big Horn Mountains. Not sure if incorporating that fact would be a good idea or not. that's why I'm here. you guys have been great so far so run with it! Please.

Hi Ondarox,
The two animals you chose are the two I have used for the past three years. I liked them at first but am now looking forsomething new, more professional instead of cute and more polished. I do like the concept and style of the one with the swish though but want a different graphic.
Thanks. Am attaching a pic of my old vehicle and signage.
On the other one, I don't care for the pets noses and eyes. Too buggy!

Usually the problem is that the file size is too big. It's a way to conserve my rapidly depleting disk space on the server :)
If you could send me the file, I'll reduce the size and upload it for you. Send it to Palmer [at] DesignOutpost.com.

Here's the old logo. Terri wanted me to let you all know that the new logo will be used for print so a high resolution version must be provided.
I intend to use this new logo for everything, biz cards, newspaper ads, brochures, T-shirt fronts, polos, as well as vehicle signage. I will of course add the contact info to the signage. I want colorful but prefer to keep it simple, 3-color etc. to keep print and embroidery costs down. Also something that could easily revert to black & white would be nice.

Hi kimber,
I really appreciate your effort, and these pets are cute but that's not the look I'm looking for, sorry. I want something more polished, professional and more stylized. I actually like your first attempt better! that was more to my likeing. I want this logo to say quality, professional and classy! I want everyone who doesn't use Creature Comforts presently, to want to because we're the best. Please don't give up on me. I liked your *comfort feel with the first desing, just wasn't crazy about the pets you used. This last desiogn is very cute, but too much so.
Thanks,

Hi all,
Not quite used to this forum and I've been sending private emails, sorry as I want everyone to know how much I appreciate your efforts thus far. Bear with me as we journey further into this to try to come up with my new look. I did the cute and as I said am now looking for something more professional, sleek and stylish. Something that will appeal to the pet owners who have their pets best care in mind and a lot of disposable income. Some of my clients live in a secure golf community just outside of town for example, others are very busy professionals who travel a lot and who work long hours so they hire me to care for their pets when they can't. I love what you all have come up with so far :) , it's just not quite there  . I'm after something that is close to the comfort factor ( really liked the pets on a pillow Kimber) and yet stylish and stylized ( I liked your black & white pets with the swish Ondarox) and the next submittal of Ondarox with the multipet design was very nice as well. I guess what I want is right near all of them as they've all been great just not there yet. Elkootcho, I'd love to see another from you too. I did like your Noah's ark rendition of pets, very cute but not quite right for Creature comforts. Don't give up on me guys I really need your help and am not great at the giving direction part as creation is not my forte :( Would love to see some of you other creative people jump in if you have the time and desire ;)
Thanks for your time and efforts so far!

I really like the look and feel of this latest design Ondarox  Very cool! Wonder what it might look like in a couple other color combinations? This one might work equally well for my vehicle ( in a diffeent color combo) and also for shirts and printed material. Thank you! I'll ponder a bit. ;)

Hi guys!
Printed out all the submissions so far and I have been getting feed back from family & friends & bus. acquaintances ;) . Firstly they think you're all very talented :) . Here's the collective thoughts of all the submissions to date.
Ondarox #1 Stylish & innovative but a bit too *halloweenish*perhaps.
Kimber #1 Very nice except that the font is a bit big and much on the first & on the 2nd, pet care isn't there. Kimber's 3rd is very sweet but a bit too cute for the professional look we're trying for.
Elkootcho, Nice but a bit too much, kind of looks *Badge* ish.
Everyone really liked Ondarox #2 ( but I want dif. animals) :( they also very much like #3 but wonder as do I if the animals would show up on a vehicle with the vinyl lettering limitations available. Also the yellow accent sort of detracts just a bit from the design.
Ondarox last desgn is a huge hit with a few interesting modifications that might be cool. Could the maroon semi-circle instead be a Mountain silhouette perhaps. Also the dog you chose while stately, seems to be a bit too pitty or boxerish for some. Perhaps a softer more widely appealing breed, a spaniel perhaps ;) . We all love the cat  Very classy cat! Could the animals sort of *cush* into the lettering a bit? Just a few thoughts and ideas from the peanut gallery. Hope you don't mind the feedback!
So far Kimbers first two and Ondarox 2nd, 3rd & 4th are running in the front and are in the vein we are seeking, but we still are open to other ideas and would love for anyone else to jump in that would like to!
Here's a concept from a friend in the same biz. Creature Comforts in the foreground with a few pets lounging comfortable on select letters, kind of smashing them down a bit like they were sinking into them. Not cartoonish but something that would say *AHhhh* as the pets love and are comfortable with Creature Comforts. Also include the pet care. Just an idea from a friend, although a couple of your designs are very close to this already. Another idea that seemed popular with this crew is the Mountain backdrop (watermark perhaps) and perhaps pet care in the forground seeming to be a soothing stream? I'm having a problem seeing that in my minds eye  , but this is the foothills and we have a lot of streams and they seem to denote, calm, comfort etc. The contest doesn't end until June 21st so there's plenty of time for thought.
Thanks to all who are participating and the rest of you, jump in!

Hi guys!
I hope you don't mind if I reply to both of you in this one post concerning the latest two designs. Here goes;
Jackie,
Thank you for submitting a design :) . I really like certain aspects of it. I like the peaceful color scheme although my husband doesn't know if it would be very eye catching enough on my vehicle. I really like the mountain backdrop, very nice. I like the second font much better than the first.I Just don't quite like the pet heads in the circle in the foreground much, sorry :( . Also I really need *pet care* to be included in the tagline and would like the word Professional as well, in front of it. Thank you. You said you were going to play with it a bit. I can't wait to see what you come up with.
Thank you!
Terri
O.k. Ondarox..... WOW  I am loving this last design of yours! The bird on the *S* is a very nice touch, love it. The dog is much better, thank you I do love my Spaniels :D . Still love the cat, but would like to see more of it's body as in your first submittal of these pets. Could you put it up a bit on the lettering? I'd love to see this design in a couple different color combinations. I do love the maroon and picked it as the color of my vehicle but want to see the design done in a different color combo so I'll know what it would look like on my vehicle. Just found out from the local company that does the vehicle lettering, that they have quite a few colors to chose from so don't let the colors stop you. Perhaps having the mountains a bit softer ( not quite so rugged and glacial) and in a different color would make the pets stand out a bit better? I REALLY like this design with just a bit of tweaking! Could you please put the word *Professional* before pet care? Perhaps in a reversal of the color? This rocks! Thank you sooo much. Would love to see it on a shirt as well. Very excited :D
Thank you.

Hi All,
Sorry I've been awol for a bit, but a very good long standing client lost the love of her life (German Shepherd) in a tragic accident and I've been trying to help her and grieving myself as this dog was one of my favorites and like my own. :( I'm going to address all of you in this email if you don't mind.
Kimber, Thank you for re working your design :) and adding to it, I appreciate it but..... so far, I like the deeper color of your first example of this design. I like the font choice and style of your second example of this design better than this last one too. I think the pillow looks best in the deeper blue hue. I like the way you did the word comforts in the second example but would still like *Professional Pet Care* added. Although I like the idea of the cockatoo, I really don't care for the positioning of it on the dogs head, I think it detracts from the dog a bit. Perhaps if it was perched on the cats tail or beside the dog on the pillow? I like the fish bowl concept but instead of so much going on in there, maybe just one larger flashy fish, a betta perhaps or a good sized gold fish with a fantail. Just some thoughts, thank you for your time.
Raja, I sent you a private post concerning your design and got your response to post it hewre instead, so will do! :D
I really like your last two designs, and am thinking of something sort of combining the two with a few differences. Love the bird on the letter *S* def. keep that  ! Love the classy cat, keep it too but I'd like to see more of it's body as in # 5. Perhaps put the kitty up farther on the lettering. Like the dog change but if you could do, say an Afghan hound and see it's body as well it would look very cool with this cat I think. I just can't really get comfortable with the semi circle back drop in the first example or the mountains, they ( mountains) kinda detract from the pets in the second. Perhaps change the backdrop to a sun set or mountain sun set and make it a different color than the pets? I would also like the word *Professional* in the color strip at the bottom, perhaps in a reversal of color? Really like what you've come up with so far thank you.
Elkootcho,
I do like this one, it's cute but not really cartoonish. there's just something that keeps it from grabbing me and I'm not sure what it is  Perhaps some color variations or different font? I'm just not sure. I like the pets and positioning and I do like the bottom tag line too. Wish I could be more help but it's just not talking to me yet ;) Thank you for your time.
We're getting there everyone! I'm excited about what you've done so far and know the final choice will be tough. I appreciate your time and talent. Hope you'll all stay with me and try again.
Thank you!

Raja,
Simply awesome! Just a couple tweaks! I LOVE the afghan, keep it but the eyes creep me out a bit  . I'd really like the head turned to a profile like the cat so we get the beautiful nose on this breed. These two animals work perfectly together. Also I think I liked the pets black better? Or at least I think so? Just a bit classier or more stately. Love that you've added professional. I want the bird in there too!
This is looking wonderful. I love the way the afghans feet go into the lettering, very nice. The only changes as I said are to profile the dog and perhaps the color changes. Could this be converted to gray scale if needed? It would be great for black & white newsprint if it could be. I'm very anxious to see the minor changes here! I will also need to put my phone # beneath this on my vehicle, so need room for that, but still want it large enough to be clear & readable when driving. Yes, please profile the dog and have them different colors from the mountains.
Thanks Raja!

Hi all,
A few comments if I may.
Jackie, I was wondering if you had come up with anything on your submittal? Color variations? Without the circle?
Kimber, I would love to see a few changes. I like #4 but I like the color scheme of your #2 better :) . I'd also like to see the bird repositioned and perhaps a bit smaller. Either perched on cats tail or next to dog on the pillow. I also like your fonts in #2 best. Thanks.
Elkootcho,
I do like your last submittal, but the dog doesn't do anything for me. He's cute but doesn't come out at you at first, hard to recognize. Could you do a couple different color combinations perhaps and change the dog a bit? Any ideas? Thanks.
Raja,
On your second to last, (sun) I'd like to see the dog in profile, probably black color for the pets, keep the same color on Creature Comforts. But Prof. pet care.... I don't know, what do you think yellow would look like for that? That would keep it three color would it not?
Your last design with the blue Mountains, Again, profile the dog ( no need for eye, except perhaps a slit like the cat which denotes relaxed, regal), try black for the pets, Keep the mountains the same color they are now, keep Creature Comforts the same color, but Prof. pet care.. What about black? White? I don't know I'm grasping here. Help me out Raja! :help: Your first depiction of the mountains might be even cooler, if in the blue color? I know I told you I wanted softer less glacial mountains, and I do like the second rendition but I think the first is more recognizable to people in general and might be softer in blue? Whatcha think?
Thank you everyone! I Look forward to seeing these changes!

Hi guys!
Some thoughts.... (yes I have some :) )
Elkootcho, I'm really liking this much better, I think the yellow might look good on my vehicle. Could you try a different font? Also could you kind of *rough * up the tag line bar outline as in your previous design? Kinda reminded me of a scratching post for cats. Hey, that's an idea I hadn't thought of! The cat could be scratching at the tagline bar with the roughed up appearance? Yes ? no? Just a wild hair ;) Any birds available? I like this.
Jackie, Much better I like it. Could you make the pets a bit more defined & put the dog on the left with the cat looking back at the dog? I like this.
This isn't going to be an easy decision! You all have so much talent! And patience for those such as myself who really are a blank page so to speak in thw world of design.
Thanks

Hi again Jackie,
I forgot to metion in my last post, that the tail you portray on the dog, doesn't fit with the breed. I know most might not notice but I did. The breed you portrayed resembles an Akita or Malamute type of dog and they both have full tails with the Akitas curled up over the back.
Thanks,

Hi Jackie,
thank you for the changes. The tail looks much better. Am thinking about the colors but I think the dog is too big, kinda looks out of proportion a bit I think.
Thanks again,

Hi Sparky! Your designs were well worth the wait. :D
I really like the concept on the first one with the dog on a pillow, but really need more pets depicted. At least a cat, maybe a bird? Although I think the *slogan* is very cute, I like it a lot but since I am caring for the pets in their own homes, I'm not sure this applies. Seems it would be better for a kenneling situation that says pets have all the comforts of home.
I do like the paw print in the text, but I think I need to stick with *Professional Pet care* as the tagline.
Thank you!

Hi all,
O.k. a few final thoughts....
Elkootcho,
I love your last design with a couple minor exceptions. Your dog is great but it looks to me to be a golden retriever. which I love! So I'd like to have him have a long full retr. tail. The parrots head kinda changed when you modified or turned it. Not as distinctive. Could you fix that? Even give it a crest if you like ;) I love your design and with a couple fixes it will be done. Sorry to hear of your back problems. Take care and Thank you. Once this is done if I could see a couple color combinations for vehicle usage that would be great, but this design is where it should be. I love it. Thank you
Raja,
I would still very much like to see a couple modifications of your last great design with the Afghan & mountain scene . I would love the afghan profiled so we could get a sense of his beautiful nose structure, eye? I don't know if it's necc. or try using an eye as in your great cat.
I am wondering about the best color scheme here to? I'd like to see the pets in black I think and don't forget the little bird on the *s*.
I love this one as well and eagerly await the modifications. Thank you.
Sparkie,
I really like your design, worth the wait . Could the dog be a Springer instead? Add a cat at least and maybe a bird if you think there's room. I like the idea of a purple pillow ( for royalty) and the pets should look a bit *uppity* but comfortable too <_< . Instead of your slogan, which I think is great, please just use * Professional Pet Care* no need to add services. I do really like the mountain scenes that are being used by some here. Just a thought, but not necc. Thanks for the great design, I look forward to the changes.
Kimber,
If you would go back to the first design you submitted, second image with full color and different text, I like this style the best. I love the word comforts below Creature in a dif. script and the way the cat & pillow drape over the word Creature. If you could just go back and use that one but add the bird and fish to the picture, it would be perfect  . I also need *professional Pet Care* somewhere under the word comforts. I do like your addition of a paw print there as well. I would love to see how all this looks together if you would please . Thank you!
These are the last modifications I can think of believe it or not ;) and these four designs are the only ones I'm considering at this point, unless I see something totally new by someone that knocks my socks off in the next couple days. The contest is still scheduled to end this Saturday so thank you all.
Jackie,
Thank you for all your time and trouble. Your design is very nice, but I just perfer some of the others. I appreciate your efforts very much.

I would really like to see all the final knit picky revisions revisions so i can print them out and stare at them tonight and share with others whose opinions I value.

Hi all,
Well unless there are any more revisions posted this afternoon, or any new designs that anyone would like to post and they feel they need more time, I will close this contest this evening. I don't mind extending it if anyone would like, but otherwise I'll announce the winner tonight.
It's not going to be easy :( , you all have presented me with some beautiful work. I wish I could pick several but will chose one later today.
The good news is, I've been contacted by some other pet sitters and they have expressed interest in some of the designs you've done for me, so if I don't chose yours, there's others who want them so hang on to them you guys.
This site and your talent is creating quite a buzz on our pet sitting lists so be prepared for an onslaughter of contests.
Thanks again and if there's anything else for me to take into consideration, let me know.
Later,

Kimber,
Your last design is PERFECT ! I love it. I will announce the winner later today....Please stand by!
I was wondering, if I chose your design, will it be suitable for a letterhead, business cards etc. Would you be interested and or able to help me come up with a layout for a business card, letterhead and such?
I REALLY need to know how this is going to look on my car? I just can't picture it given it's maroon/wine type color. The car manufacturer calls the color *Salsa* but it's more of a deeper, wine marroon color to me.
I'm very excited Kimber, this is what I'm looking for.
One last thing... If I chose your design. I would want the word *Comforts a bit larger and fatter, perhaps add a stroke or two to it. I love the font styles just as they are, don't change that, I just want Comforts more visable.
As for the line underneath, I'm wondering how I should word it exactly? Perhaps I should add the word service (s)? Do you think that would make it more understandable?
This is what I've been looking for all along! It says *comfort, has that *aww* factor that pet owners love yet still looks clean and professional!
Thanks so much for sticking with me.

You've given me a lot to think about with that last post of yours Kimber  . I don't pretend to know exactly what you mean by all the different formats etc. But I do know what I do and don't want.
I may need an extra day or two ( Monday) so I can contact my design company here in town on Monday and see what they have available in Vinyl lettering. The magnetic backed signs are not an option! I had those years ago when I first started and did not like them a bit. I will be going with the vinyl lettering that adheres directly to my car, thus my reason for checking at *Big Horn Design* to see what's available.
I'll be real honest with you guys, I'm having a very hard time choosing and my friends, peers & Family are not much help. We have narrowed it to two designs and are split down the middle and love them both. The dillemma is, we think one of the two is better suited for my vehicle signage, while the other would be great for business cards, letterheads, etc. Both would be great on business or T-shirts. I can't have two logos, I think that's a bit much. So I guess I'll take the space constraints on the side of my little vehicle and the color options available to me for the vinyl and use them as deciding factors.
Bear with me as I can't contact the signage place until Monday morning.
Thank you!
Terri (wishing I owned two businesses and could pick them both)

Good Morning all,
I will be visiting the local design company today for a bit of direction as to color etc. A few final thoughts if I may... and a new idea if you will indulge me.
The space on the side of my vehicle is somewhat limited in that I have about two feet horizontally and a foot vertically. this space would be for the logo only, as I can put the phone # down below the ridge on the side by itself.
While I love Kimbers last design ( the airbrushed look) I am sure I could never get it to reproduce that way in vinyl. Not sure how it would look in black & white on my vehicle or if I'd like it on there in black & white. But I still adore it and think it would look great on shirts, etc.
I also really like Raja's work and Elkootchos and think they may work better towards the vehicle signage and also work on shirts etc. Sparkie's keeps calling to me too! Will know more after speaking to Big Horn Design today.
I've always been sort of a * have your cake & eat it too* kinda person and that's why i'm having trouble choosing. you're all too creative for me to chose one. Here's my thought and offer....
I would pick a winner, and award them the original $100.00 as stated in the contest. I would also like to chose a second and possibly third design and artist. I believe the minimum suggested for logos is $50.00 although you guys are worth much more! I would up the ante by another $ 60.00 or even $120.00 and would award $60.00 for the second design and third as well if needed.
What I ned to know from you guys is if this would be something you'd be interested in? If not, cool and I'll just somehow pick a winner and award the org. $100. But I like aspects of others and appreciate your efforts and thought this might be a way to accomplish this task.
Please think about it and let me know if you all would be willing to go for this. I would expect the design files etc. for the second and third design as well of course.
Let me know!

Gee, Thanks a bunch! <_<
I just got back from visiting with the company here that will do the lettering for my vehicle. They had several concerns as well as suggestions
They said, shading, shadows etc. do not lend itself to doing a vinyl design. :( (
Clean lines and definition are much easier to work with to get the desired effect and keep it eye catching and readable, something I didn't know or take into consideration. Also certain fonts that are very closed and close together are much harder to do and don't look right in vinyl. They also said that some of the logos I showed them would be VERY hard to shrink small enough and still be readable when embroidered on a business polo shirt. They could do some of them larger across the front of a T-shirt, but with the full blown color and air brushed type effect it would be very costly.
ElKootcho, they said they liked your designs and they would be o.k. to work with but they liked the fonts on o2 & o3 better than o6 as some on 06 are very closed. So if chosen perhaps we could come up with a variation. They also said the mountains might be tough and it might be cleaner and more readable without them, but I still like them.
They also very much liked Raja's designs. They liked the *Jambalaya 06/02 without the horse or yellow accent. Really liked the font, but said the horse would not transfer , hard or impossible to do shadows & shading in embroidery or vinyl.
They loved the one with the boxerish dog & regal looking cat without the maroon accent. They also thought your last submittal * I ate a cat* was very good and doable without the shadowing on the letters.
They adored Kimbers full color submittal but said they could never shrink it to shirt size and keep it discernable and could not get the shading done in vinyl or enbroidery. Also the font you used in the word *Comforts* ( my favorite) they said would be next to impossible in both those mediums.
They also said that to do a polo correctly above one pocket, they would need the Professional Pet Care repositioned directly under the logo and perhaps drop professional and just go with pet care to make it doable and readable shrunk down.
They went on to say further that given the color of my vehicle, they would suggest, gold lettering with black figures/sillouettes or perhaps silver would look nice they also have a color called Buckskin that may work for the pet figures. Not black lettering unless they could somehow outline it in white which I'm not sure of.
So based on their suggestions I hope you guys can help me out afterwards as far as fine tuning a bit, if you're willing.
Elkootcho,
Thank you for your quick response regarding choosing more than one design/designer and your willingness to accept that. I'd still love to hear from Kimber, Raja and Sparkie as to their willingness.
Even though some designs don't lend well to vehicles or embroidery, I believe they could still work very well in print and am keeping that in mind as well. I was told by the company here that often a company will chose a design for signs or vehicle and then do a parred down version of the same design for shirts, biz cards etc.
Let me know if you'd all be open to my chosing a winner and possible runner(s) up.
Thank you!
Terri

Fonts are obviously very changeable. As far as the mountains go, your print shop knows their capabilities and they could easily be dropped if needed (Definately tough embroidery-wise.) If you have t-shirts silkscreened you could bring them back in as they add a nice dimension to the overall look and I think they'd look good at such a large size.

Any comments from the print shop on the logo I submitted? I think it may work out better without the mountain backdrop, but in the end it's your decision.
I think that the $100-$60-$60 idea is great, and would definitely be willing to go along with it if you chose my work.

Hi Sherice,
I'm sorry (blush) I'm so embarrassed, I thought I posted about your design as well. I certainly meant to. They said your design was very clear and readable and would transfer nicely. They didn't think the mountains would work though but liked the fonts you chose and the pets should be easily visable in vinyl and embroidery. I honestly didn't mean to leave you out. Thanks for being open to picking more than one design.
Sure wish I would hear from Kimber & Raja (( hint hint)) on their thoughts.
It would help make the decision.

Hello,
No sense in dragging this out any further. Thank you all for your time and efforts, I do appreciate them. I've decided to limit myself to two designs at this time. Thanks for allowing me to do it this way. Also thanks to all of you designers that submitted designs that I did not chose. They were great as well. If I've done it correctly, I believe I've just added another $75.00 to my contest. I have a favorite but the second one is top notch too as were they all.
Raja, you are my $100.00 Winner! Thank you so much for all the changes and all your different submissions and your paitience. Your last submittal is the winner although it was tough as I liked all of yours.
Elkootcho, I can't leave without your wonderful design as well. I am awarding you and your design *06* the $75.00 :D . Thank you sooo much for sticking with me and allowing me to do it this way.
Will look forward to hearing from both of you, discussing a couple minor changes in font style, and getting your files on these wonderful designs.
I will need the full color version, 2-3 color version and black & white as well for when printing costs are a concern.
I'm very excited about both of these. Maybe I should buy another company vehicle and display them both! :lol2:
I also need a couple different formats I believe, eps vector, etc. so that these designs can be shrunk down to accomadate shirts and also be blown up for vehicle signage. But you two know much more about that than I do. I will use these for business cards, brochures letterheads etc. as well so I need Very high resolution too.
Thanks all it's been a great time and difficult choice. When I began this adventure, I was hoping to get one design I liked. Little did I know there would be so many that I couldn't choose. I would have loved to have them all, if money was not an object.
Sincerely,
Terri Randall
