Hey everyone. Just wanted to start out by saying how impressed I am at the work you all do here. The designs and logos I have seen are absolutely great! We are looking for a logo for our landscape company.. The name is Grasshopper Landscaping. We are mostly a maintenance and install company serving high end clientel on the seacoast of New Hampshire. We are looking for something fun, colorful, eye-catching, yet professional, of course featuring a grasshopper in the logo. As some of you may know, grasshoppers also come in more colors than your basic green. I have a few ideas, but would like to see your creative, non biased work first. I have also attached a picture that Grasshopper Lawn mower manufacturing uses as their logo for their machines. Something along this line would ok, but would like a graphic\illustration more. I will be using this for news print, trucks, company uniforms and brouchures\flyers and will let you know what format I need specifically as well as your input on what other formats I will need as well based on your experience. There is no deadline. Thanks to all who participate. The prize is $65.

How about a happy, non-threatening bug?

ElKootcho,
I like the first one. Any way to add the wing and possibly a leg to make it look more like a grasshopper. Other than that, the graphic is in line of what I'm looking for. Thanks for responding.

Another thought would be to have something like the attached grasshopper coming out of \ looking out of the next attached grass with the name of the company right beside it. Just a thought, but I do like the cartoon like pic logo that ElKootcho came up with.

ElKootcho,

I like the font, style of layout and the hopper appearing from the letter "o". Is there anyway to get the grasshopper to resemble a grasshopper a little more? Also, your logo for Dreamscape Landscape Co. was very impressive and professional looking. Anyway to mimic that a little with the grasshopper twist?

A variation on my prior logo

ElKootcho,
Almost there. Could you take off the wing after all ( I know I requested it earlier), and maybe have the rest of the grasshopper's body with side view legs (see elkotcho #2 submission) coming through the next letter? The head part is perfect. Just a continuation of his rear body and classic leg with a side view would be great. Thanks again. ( Boy you guys work hard and go through hoops for $65) LOL .... I 'd probably fire my clients if they were that fussy!

Elkootcho,
one more revision and we've got a winner. I've attached an edited version of your logo on how I want the legs to appear. Could you use these legs in your logo and darken the green color a bit. Thanks again for your work and patience.

That's perfect!!! I take that one as the final submission and declare that the contest is over with Elkootcho as the winner. Thanks ElKootcho! I'll email you with file requests later today\tomorrow.
