Hi peeps,
I'm hoping someone here can take this idea and bring it to a life for me.

I've had this logo idea stuck in my head for weeks, i want to get as close to it as possible.

I'd like the logo to be based on a pixymbol .....We've all seen the construction road sign with a blockman with the shovel in his hand......I'd like the same image with a lawnmower instead of a shovel. I think it would look great on the back of hats, shirts etc. ( i might be wrong...if this idea turns out to look like _____ ........i'm open to something "similar").

Flattop

Lawncare =======
I'd like a clear, clean, crisp font....the color will depend on the layout etc.

In the above example of the underlined word "Lawncare"

ideally.....this stick figure would have his lawn mower already
pass the underlined portion and the remaining line would represent ummowed grass.

I'd also like to have the figure (larger) shaded in the background.

 ..........If i'm out of line by throwing so much of my own concept in ....just let me know.

I hope someone can make it happen!
Thanks

forgot to mention ...the deadline is March 24, 2005

Please let me know if this representation of your idea is correct. :)

Thanks,
Alex.

I really like the figure Alex, just what i had in mind.

Can you move the line the man is on down to the bottom and put the text "lawn care" to the left of the man?( replacing the solid line
under "lawn care").

Can the figure( an additional one) be enlarged and much lighter in the background somehow?

I'm still undecided about the font.

Thank you for partiicipating. :D

Here's the revised logo.. I think you can use a silhouette of the man in your stationary as a watermark (a simple business card mockup shown), but I do not think there's a way to have it in the logo itself without making it too busy.

The watermark idea seems fine.

It still looks a little bland. (could be the font) something is missing tho.

could you change that address on the mock card to

12345 Tool Street
Aenima,Ca 46&2 ...... :) ..........just kidding

Have a great weekend

Very nice Sam!

I like this font much better.

2 things i'd like to see changed a bit

1. Can the figure in the triangle be centered a bit more?
2. The grass in front of the mower is a bit high..and i'd like for it to stay inside the boundry of the triangle. (i hope to put that part of the logo on the back of hats, shirts)

Your definetly in the lead.....of course....your the only one that's entered so far ..hehe

Thanks for the quick changes/effort Sam.

I'm not sure about the triangle....it could be the yellow background.

How about changing the triangle to a outlined house?(without the yellow)

Hi MyChicken

After seeing/thinking on the design of a "road sign" i'm leaning away from that idea now.

I still want to use the figure of the man/lawnmower...just not in that direction.

Thanks

Hi Samoyloff,
Can you change the color, font a little?
It still looks pretty basic.

MyChicken,
The grass is way to high and the font is too thick, blocky

Thanks for your effort.

Ok Samoyloff,
It seems nobody else is interested in this project.

I like your logo enough to use it.

I'd like see a couple changes.

I like the yellow shading in post 19.
I'd rather have the word "flattop" in a solid green and in the same font as in post 10.

I'd also like to add the phrase "Support your local merchants" underneath the logo.

I hope to keep it at 2 colors.

Thanks in advance

Thank you for your entry Adrian.

I really like the logo in post 28.

Can you remove the "because we care"

and work the phrase..."Support your local merchants"
in there somewhere?

Maybe a font with softer edges.
