Hi all,
My name is Erika. I'm not exactly good at talking about myself but I'll give it a shot.

Design Background:
I first got interested in the internet, my first year in college. I spent hours surfing. I wasn't too long after that I started trying to emulate the sites that I admired. I still have a copy of the very first site I built. It was a Buffy fan site for Spike and Drusilla. I can honestly say that I've come a long way.

Personal Details:
I live in Buffalo, NY but I hail from Orlando (Home of Disney World), FL.
I met my husband online. He and I tied the knot this June. We're two peas in a pod even though I'm from the american south and he, from Ontario, Canada.
I don't really think of myself as designer yet. (at least not until it becomes my primary job)

Design Tools:
Dreamweaver, Homesite, Paint Shop Pro, Fireworks, Top Style

Why Web Design?
Well, I have a passion for being creative. I was just designing sites for myself until I came across eLance. This was before it became the pretentious place that it is now. Once they imposed the high fees for bidders, I became uninterested and started looking for projects on my own. Then I found Site Point and CreativeMoonlighter and I'm confident that I'll finally make it.

PS. in case you haven't noticed, red is my fave color
see y'all around SP and DO :)

Welcome to DO and welcome to the team as well. Our family was down at Disney around spring break of this year. We went to the Magic Kingdom and the Animal Kingdom. We had a blast. I really like that fast pass idea. we got to ride everything we wanted.

That's interesting meeting your husband on the internet. If you're from Orlando and he's from Canada, how did you end up in Buffalo? How much snow did you get Christmas eve? In Ohio we had around 6 inches to shovel. I know Buffalo notoriously gets a ton of lake effect snow.

Thanks for introducing yourself,
Palmer

Well, Buffalo was something of a compromise. We wanted to be closer to each other so I moved to Buffalo. And after we got married, we decided to live there because it was cheaper than living in TO. We probably won't stay inBuffalo too long though. Just long enough to get on our feet and perhaps move to TO before moving on to Montreal.

We didn't get that much snow yet. I think we just got a little over 4 inches. But we'll probably get a lot more later on.
